Nobody is winning in 5. Ha. Mavs fans are so unrealistic. I see so many Mavs in 4 or 5. This is going 6 or 7, either team with a chance to win.

Luka is banged up and the league has allowed more physicality. It’ll be tuff on him this go around.

The question is can luka play every other night and play defense on a motion offense with a long series? I don’t think he can. Don’t double team either one and stay on others and force the big two to score 35-40 each for 7 games.

I loved the way Trey immediately fact checked Skeets on Chet being so punishing from 3 against the Pelicans.
The last game TANKED his three-point shooting, but Chet's ability to stretch the floor was instrumental in OKC's wins in Game 1 and 2 - JE

People forget how well Lively guarded Wemby during the season. Lively can keep up with Chet
Mavs are going to put DJJ on SGA, Kyrie on JDub, Luka on Dort, PJ on Chet and Gafford on Giddey negates all of OKC’s screening with Chet. Mavs are going to abuse the hell out of PnR and OKC won’t be able to stop it and same with abusing the hell out of Luka in the post and Kyrie one pass away with Gafford or Livley in the dunkers spot and OKC will be forced to leave Dort one on one or double off Kyrie which have fun with that lmao.

Luka’s career numbers vs Dort are 35-10-11.. Shai’s career numbers vs. DJJ are 20-5-5. (20 game sample size)
The Mavs centers have combined to average 27-20-4 (blocks) a game against OKC this season.
Chet has average 12-10-1.8(blocks) against the Mavs this season.
OKC gave up the highest percentage and frequency of corner threes this season and the Mavs shot the most corner threes in the league,

What has luka averaged against dort?
3s and Defense wins NBA championships. Dort is the x-factor and the Thunder was the best 3 point shooting team all year. Thunder in 6

Dort is 6'4, Luka loves physical play as the kid is 6'8 235 lbs, he just doesn't lose physical match-ups with smaller guards. Luka》Shai and I think he goes out and shows it, Mavs in 5 or 6.

I don't know, despite 29/9/9 this was certainly below what a healthy Luka would display, with a less efficient Luka I feel like it can be a toss-up, G1 will be a very interesting one though.
Luka definitely needs to return to his normal efficiency. But I think he will.

@@sneakrzzz8669 He’s not hurt. He was getting to all his shots with ease games 5 and 6. Shot a combined 20-34 from 2 with 23 assists. He just missed 3s that he normally makes. It had nothing to do with Russ, his 3 shot is just off. And btw he averages a 32 pt triple double vs Dort. 😂

I would Start lively over Gafford this series for strategic purposes just to put him Chet. Both young and similar build. Lively can move his feet a bit better.

Dort held harden down in the dorture chamber in the playoffs (he is older and better now). He's reduced Bron to a normal nba player. I think people are going to be surprised with dort. Sure Luka will still go on some runs and Maybe have a big game but he won't get anything easy

That's easy to say now, a lot harder to do when Kyrie has 30 points in the second half and the game is close
@@Cowboyfan6496 sure for any particular game. But 7 games and the two having no help but 20 points and they will lose the battle of attrition. They play every other night, lukas injury will be tested. Irving will have to spend lots of energy on defense. Drive and kick twice every possession will wear them down.
If you let Luka and Kyrie get their points OKC is cooked. That opens up the lobs and 3 pt shots. Not to mention their great defense
@@adriandavis8992 if you play them both man on man without help defense and stay on the others it will take away the 3’s and lobs. Plus we will work them hard on offense 2 drive snd kicks per possession. By game 7 luka will be sidelined. Schedule is every other day, bench, home court, injuries all in okc favor.
