As a Syrian miserable man challenging the war in my country and 1 Million related things in my real life,
The football in general and this fabulous game particulary was my only escape from everything during the recent years, and my first reason for happiness during my childhood ❤️
BTW it's a warm documentary ...
Hope your well brother
"Are you coming to bed?" .......... Yeah, be up in a minute love ! ...... Next thing you know, the birds are singing outside and the kids are getting up for school......... Been there, done that, got the t-shirt ! !
Russell Pittock amen brother, it’s a risky business
Know this feeling too well 😂
True ! :)
That's why fm is harmful
@@chef1995 Only if you allow it to be. I wouldn't say harmful. I would say detrimental.
This game stole my life.
this game is life my friend
rial life is overrated
i had to uninstall it, i have to study , exams
Thank you EA for not accepting FM
@Linux Gnome FIFA Manager 2014 Legacy Edition seems fine
A trick: watch movies at Flixzone. Me and my gf have been using them for watching a lot of movies these days.
@Ronnie Adam Definitely, have been watching on flixzone} for years myself :D
@Ronnie Adam definitely, have been watching on Flixzone} for since november myself :)
Bruh Ronnie, Alonso, and Tommy are blatantly the same people irl
I was on a plane, took the laptop with me (my partner for 5yrs doesn't know of the game). I had the row behind me and lad beside me absolutely hooked on my push for a European spot as cobh ramblers. We hit the post 3 times in last 10mins when we were one nil down. All the shouting and groans caught the attention of the flight attendants... He arrived to our row just in time to see us then concede from a ball over the top 2-0 to already relegated st.pats.... Its a fantastic game, still playing fm16, going to upgrade this year
Forget the war. everything else. Its what we all love for the pure escapism of supporting anything else other than your family. its what we do.
@@CARLIN4737 I've actually stopped playing it, started playing greyhound racing manager 2.
Way more enjoyable game.
I upgraded to fm20 and I hated it, doesn't work properly, but gave it a go, liked some aspects of it, then didn't enjoy going back to 2016 as the tactics are too basic... So for me, my time playing fm is over after years and years
Great story!
@@CARLIN4737 fking savage
I come back to this documentary once every few months, it reminds me of why I play this game and why I've spent so much time on it since I was around 13-14 years old. 30 now and the excitement for the next instalment just grows. Roll on FM24.
I discovered FM in the FM 22 cycle and this has fast become my favourite video game.
When they were talking about scouting, I wondered if a scout had been sent out to scout a certain player, only to find he was a regen.
That's hilarious lol!!! However, that could not happen because they used the data put in the game and not the game to extract the data. I hope this makes sense ^^'
Gave me a laugh
This is literally one of my favorite films of all time. This was such a great idea to encapsulate the FM lifestyle for all to see. Thanks for releasing it to all. I've owned it on Steam and CZcams for a while, and rewatch it frequently.
My favourote game by far.
I have played FM19 for some 2000 hours. What I like most is to build up a managerial reputation of World Class, starting without any experience or badges. Next to that I do stream this game on twitch, mainly to try tactics and formations and to win some silverware. It is flipping great! Ones I started the game, I barely can't stop playing. Absolutely love it, never ever stop making these kind of games!
I went back to it two years ago and my goodness I loved it but, found myself sneaking games in at work, at home when I was supposedly doing work and late nights. All to bring Arsenal back to former glory and create a dynasty.
Same here!!! 😂
One of the best sporting game documentary innit.
Think its more than just virtual reality and more about putting yourself in a club manager's situation.
WESLEY NGO BAHENG, BAHENG
HE SCORES GOALS AGAIN AND AGAIN
HE SCORED 149 OF THEM
NGO BAHENG, BAHENG
Great Documentary, I see myself in a lot of these situations in the past
I failed my leaving cert thanks to receiving Cm 2004 3 months before the exams.
Whenever I hear a CM story I feel so happy and wanna hug someone
I haven't played as religiously since 2009. Arsenal have been crap (Yeah I only play one team and my real life biases).
I think I watched over 2000 hours of other people playing
CM4 made me fail my A-Levels in 99.
I cannot believe Cherno Samba was not mentioned once in this whole video. The man, the myth, the legend.
I've started playing malevolently. I've devoted myself to destroying Tottenham. I've signed a tonne of old goalkeepers and let Kane, Alli, Eriksen et al all leave for free. Fun times! Nine Premier League games, nine defeats... 424 goals conceded
That 47.1 goals conceeded per game
@@something.for.everyone that is a good point, actually. That does seem somewhat excessive. No way of finding out now, mind x
Song at the end makes the whole thing. Brilliant documentary. I'm still playing fm12 in late 2019, I've tried fm13 and 16 but 12 is perfection
I. Was the only one from all my friends who discovered, played and loved championship manager, I remember the 1st one had generated name but in 93 we got real names, United had just signed cantona, linekar was in Japan. Played on my Amiga 600 then 1200. Even sent off for the Italian version! I was obsessed with it, I used to dream of being able to play this on a handheld, it didn’t seem possible back then, now look where we r! Amazing game that has given many of us 1000’s n 1000’s of hours of fun!
In FM17, i defended the Premier League title and won the Champions League with Leicester on the FIRST season!!!
I played with Hasenhuttl-esque tactics in a 4-4-2 and Jamie Vardy scored 51 goals in all competitions.
Cheers Jeff
This was amazing fantastically put together!! Makes you realise you’re not alone showing passion when you win! Almost crying when you loose and putting on your suit for a final!!
I’ve owned every copy of the game and it’s by far the greatest game ever made every season!!!
Thank sports interactive for creating it!!!
karl eariss that’s a whole different level of full kit wanker hahaha
The intro is class, what football is all about!
Recognised Vicky McClure's (Line of Duty) voice as soon as the voice over started. Great doco. If FM could just make some more female managers outfits for us ladies that love to play/manage/take our club to European glory, as well. 😀
To be fair, the men don't got much choice either :p
They're coming in the next few years.
Such an amazing documentary long overdue should have more like this Id happily watch
Interesting documentary. Nice to see behind the scenes and get to know how the game is put together
Love the game!! I have played every edition since 2006...I fully relate with the documentary
its a real testament to the game that as good as the graphics and match engine are now, even if it was still just a text commentary as long as the outcomes where still accurate folk would still play just the same, and thinking back to what was my original experience on 97/98 version were if u scored then the word goal would show up withing a flashing box of your teams colours and i still swear to this day the more important the goal and the more limbs and crowd would go mental in real life the faster the box would flash, dont know if it was a feature of the game but in my head it was
Not a good time to release this with Solskjaer struggling 😂
The Groundhopper conspiracy theory but im sure it has to be something behind the scenes and man utds poor game isnt 100% oles fault
@swelol You're completely deluded if you don't think he's apart of the problem
As this point, you have to give Mourinho some credit. With that Man Utd squad. He did way better than Ole is doing at the moment. I feel like Pogba is the main problem at the moment who has caused shit since the start
When its not mourinho so it can be anything exept the manager nice fans.
Don't blame it ALL on him
CM 01-02 is the legend.
Thanks FM... I enter a new world thanks to you..
Beautiful film. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Its actually an addiction I genuinely think about it a few times a day while at work and write out tactics and strategies at work. Ive got scrap pieces of paper about players everywhere. Im playing now as I watch this Football Manager is a drug I'll never overcome long may it continue. Also my birthday is November 15th and it comes out near my birthday every year.
Been playing football manager since 2000 love it
I first found this game back in 1997 when it was still called Championship Manager...
I was something of a troubled teenager, I lived in a Childrens Home and for a period of time I was excluded from School, and my carers would not let me do anything they deemed 'fun' during school hours then one day I brought CM 97/98 home, I convinced one my carers to let me play CM 97/98 as part of my education...
I really had to plead my case and won, I convinced them that CM would be a benefit, I told them it would be a benefit to Mathematics as I had to work within a transfer budget and I had to engage my brain to think about tactics and using the Transfer Market.
Even when my suspension was up, as part of my reintegration back into School I had to attend what was called the Pupil Improvement Room, I even managed to get CM into time in PIR
Did you life turn out all right?
I'm playing FM 2014 for about 8 years now. In 2122, 108 seasons with the same club. I'm 140 years old.
These men made my childhood
I am so happy to have seen this.
A question for researchers: where did the attributes of players like Maxim Tsigalko, Anatoli Todorov come from? This could be a nice idea for another movie. Maybe it would be possible to make an interview with some legendary talents like Tsigalko, Aghahowa, Adu,?
We Need Alternate Throwback And Throwback Retro To Be In FM20
This isn’t *just* a game, it’s much more than that.
I’ve devoted weeks or maybe even months in accumulated time on each Football Manager since 2006, and in fact Championship Manager from about 2003 (including wonderkids alumni such as Rooney, Robben, Kompany, Montolivo, Cerci, Pazzini, Le Talley and Rungratsamee) .Dedicated to being the best, doing all I can to top the Hall of Fame. Trying to win all the trophies possible in a season, trying to break new records be it; points total, highest goal difference, most wins, going unbeaten, longest unbeaten streak in league history. It never ends.
Ah, the wonderkids. Finding someone on Football Manager, signing and developing them, then somewhere later down the line you hear them linked to big teams in real life and you say “Yep, know all about him”, or on the flip side, when your club signs some players you’ve never heard of which immediately concerns you, then you double check on FM and you find that they are indeed, pretty average (Spurs signing N’Jie and Nkoudou are two that instantly come to mind).
No its definitely still just a game bud
Really enjoyed this documentary
Played since CM 03-04!
01/02 is the best game of all time
Thanks for this.
FM has been a part of my life since Championship Manager 94. At times I have walked away from it when it was engulfing my life but i always come back
As much as I love football manager today, I miss the simplicity of the Champ Manager days...97/98 remains my favourite game to this day...
Tommy Svindal Larsen, Emile Heskey and Ibrahima Bakayoko were absolute beasts on that game and I remember being excited when Everton signed Bakayoko and he absolutely stunk after I told everyone how great a player he was...
Heskey and Bakayoko were absolute beasts up front, they would always score 30-40 goals a season with Svindal Larsen assisting most of them
Ole is literally living all r dreams lol
The song in the end can really give Ed Sheeran a run for his money.
Football Manager: An Alternative Reality 2 would be Amazing.❤❤
And of course, Papa Zealand would have to be involved
I hate to say this but 10 mins in and I already have a nostalgic feeling of watching this before. I remember watching a football manager documentary before and most of the footage here had already been included on the previous documentary. I don't remember much but I hope this supposedly **new documentary** actually contains new material, not like the what fm games have done every year.
Odličan film😀
I didn't find FM until FM21 but have put in over 2000 hours since and can't see me stopping anytime soon. S.I have done such an amazing job with the game. Cannot wait to see what the team brings next. Also much appreciation to all the lovely people that work so hard on this game
Brilliant!
May have been playing football manager the entire time watching this doc....
Thank you God for Football Manager!
The time when FM 2016 had broken wingbacks but this game made me love football in general where in my country it is not the number 1 sport. This is where i also learned a lot about the games and when i see some football players going to big clubs i'm not actually surprised but instead i am happy and i knew they were supposed to move to a huge club because in the game they are world beaters.. well some became busts but that's the nature of the game and it's unpredictability. Thank you SI even though your game is broken year after year.. I still sink 1000 plus hours in your games because of the role playing aspect of it is excellent!
This is absolutely amazingly correct
35:27 In reality you are at the wheel mate, 呵呵
KLY no matter what, i will always love him
If ole we trust
Big fan played since champ manager
Thanks to FM I can feel like a bigger part of my favorite European clubs. As an American who isn't gonna get many if any chances to see any European club game in my lifetime, this franchise in a way let's me atleast get a small bit of that feeling.
I have this on bluray, dvd and digital but im obviously going to watch it now ive found it on youtube!
Realmente adoraria mais um filme ou documentário sobre o Football Manager
Brilliant.
"The relationship that people have with their own team in Football manager can actually be greater than they have in real life" - ay correct. I got a bond now with Atalanta Bergame, Swansea City FC, Charlton Athletic and some more teams playing FM for several years now. Never had an interest in them before. But now I actually look the teams up in FM and real life every year to see how they're doing. FM is a great immersive game, comparable with Crusader Kings, another game that does things to your imagination in a complete other genre.
The most iconic game ever
i hope that we will be able to play FM 2020 very soon
7:09 Wish they'd release all that early game dev stuff they have! I LOVE looking through shit like that about ANY game tbh and FM would be fascinating!
Xbox wanted to charge me 6.99 to watch this. Got to love CZcams.
Fredrik Norrestrand in FM 19 xD 5,000 pound for the best rightback ever in fm.
THAT DOCUMENTARY IS ABSOLUTELY FUCKING LEGEND...
Eder Alvarez Balanta
Absolute beast!!
Gran documental
Interested
couldn't relate more. 2634 hours on fm14, 2161 hours on fm15, 1793 hours on fm16, 1411 hours on fm17, 597 hours on fm18, 1625 hours on fm19. Thats my 1 year time spent solely on fm.
i bought mark kerr, world class player!
I love how they tried to sell the animations for fm15 😂 I've never played a game with so many wtf moments because of hilarious animations that inevitably lead to own goals.
Mcleish son, how can he say Messi was on 01-02 he wasn't. He didn't appear until FM05.
Yeah exactly. Messi was about 14-15 then
so those players are the reason why my players move so weirdly lol
The only game I'll play until death
When is VR coming? That's what will really elevate FM to the next level, people wearing strange headsets leaping out the bus shelter into the road bellowing instructions at their players while Gary has to swerve his Transit van out the way
I've been playing football manager on and off for past ten years but it has improved dramatically over the years what got me hooked was me and a friend played managing rival clubs he spent a fortune whereas i didn't and because of my knowledge I beat him with ease even when he tried poaching my squad I still found replacements to spank him which was a good feeling I'm a Arsenal fan we both was but I always manage underdogs as i like the fairytale of building a club from nothing to be the top team if you could make a 3D version for the mobile game that would be great
Croft Park, we are massive
Albertini part of the research team lol that's amazing
Pinheiro, Constanzo, Kerr, Kallstrom, Maderia, Samba, Duff, Tonton, Selakovic, Tsigalko (never gets a work permit) Aghahowa, Taribo West (on a Free) Joao Paiva, Dunwell.. Yes Please... think ill crack out some 01/02 right now actually...
I started at FM15 and my life has never been the same since
FM12 Aston Villa with Gabby Agbonlahor and Darren Bent up front what a partnership
HOWAYYYY BLYTH 💚
A moment of silence for the Jamie Cooks that have left us high & dry like that…
it appears OGS has used this but his scouting have 1 player ability and potential, needs to fire them imo
Still playing FM 2011 until now. Bring Liverpool back to It's glory and lead sunderland as a world champion, and now taking charge in Stevenage.
While I’ve never suited and booted shook hands with a doorknob or lit a waste paper bin on fire I wouldn’t judge those that have.
I looking the manager football , I am player
Thank you for players like Propar, Brozek, Sulaimani and Leonardo!
O melhor jogo de todos!
It is more addictive than heroin.
Mighty chesterfield being mentioned
Can nobody remember Anastasios Skalidis ?
Cherno Samba was also a god
hey man I´m a Cadiz CF fan from the spanish second division, Cherno Samba was in a trial for a week during 2005 with a friend called Atiba Harris from the same caribbean country. Both were really terrible not able to make it to the U-23, Samba I think did not play ever again out of his country and Harris played in the USA league for many years.
we still joking about these 2 guys over here! and also I must tell you I´m an addict of FM and I never knew Samba was actually good lol
I remember Skalidis, he was an amazing player, you could get him for about £100k, signed him for Hereford in champ. Just kept on scoring goals , unforgettable !
Oleeeeee
The missus, FM and electricity isn't enough anymore. You need an internet connection too.
Are you sure ?
Cm 97/98..nothing else matters 💖
Cm 01 02 is the boss, best game ever
Jamie Ingledow in PM 99/00 was indestructible. Played 1500 first class games - over 1000 for Everton alone, 198 England caps, played in the PL until he was 44. Whatever became of the real life Jamie Ingledow?
I forgot what I was watching when he said he was 85 at the start, He looks great for being 85
I wouldn't play a game called Office Manager......... but we would try it out anyway
