    Is there still a version of the retirement Visa that only requires $750 monthly (SS-USA) income if you purchase a home of at least $1000.00? I so rarely hear it mentioned.

      @ndmlawfirm  Před 2 měsíci

      Hi, Yes that option to make your pension visa is still available. It is not the most common but some expats are sure to invest in Panama and they take advantage of the benefits that can give you buy a property in Panama.

    Hello, very good video. I have 3 questions. (1) Is a birth certificate required for pensioners, or only for their dependents? (2) Is a certification of good health required to be taken in Panama, or before coming to Panama? (3) Once I have my apostilled documents (proof of pension and FBI report) from the Panama consulate in the U.S., should I then come to Panama to meet with one of your lawyers to continue the application?

    • @ndmlawfirm
      @ndmlawfirm  Před měsícem +2

      Hello, thank you very much! The birth certificate is only necessary if you are accompanied by a child under 25 years old who is not married and you wish to offer them residency as your dependent.
      The Good Health Certificate must be obtained here in Panama, and our expat assistance services include processing this certificate.
      With your FBI background check, you are ready to apply. Once you arrive in the country, you should contact a lawyer who can submit your application, as individuals cannot submit their own applications.
      Generally, we complete the process within 5 business days once we have received all the documents.

    Very helpful information, well presented. I especially appreciate the timestamps in the description. Liked and subbed, and I bookmarked your website for future reference. Thank you!
    One requirement I've heard that makes no sense to me is Panama requires the immigrant to have a return flight ticket upon entering the country. I've been told to book a one way ticket to Panama and a separate one way ticket back to the US, just to get into Panama. Then cancel the return flight sometime after my visa application is submitted. Is that really necessary?

      Hello, thank you very much! Usually expats to have no problem entering the airport usually make that purchase so that my migration verifies that you have a ticket out.
      Once in the country if you want to leave Panama again you must wait for your residence first so that you do not have to buy an additional ticket.

    Will an annuity from an insurance company (such as Mass Mutual) suffice as long as its lifetime?

    • @ndmlawfirm
      @ndmlawfirm  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Hi! I hope you’re feeling great.
      Here I mention the requirements we need when retirement comes from a private entity.
      •Letter from a foreign pension management, trust, mutual fund, insurance or banking company certifying that it administers funds for the company or applicant.
      • Certification of the existence and validity of the company, which grants the pension and administers the fund.
      • Copy of proof of payment or bank statement.
      Greetings,

      @@ndmlawfirm I got my Pensionado visa in 2001 just after Panama copied CR's program. I used income from a Prudential annuity. It was a TRIP! Inmigracion said I wasn't old enough for Social Security and repeatedly denied me (clerks, go figger). Finally i got someone to understand the law was about guaranteed income, not age. And then came the "WTF is an annuity" month of crazy until finally I got a supervisor who understood what an annuity was and could be convinced that Prudential was safe. I was like "man, you're supposed to find ways to bring foreign money INTO the country (can't live on shrimp and teak exports alone) not ways to keeo it out. The whole thing was comedic

    I moved from the United States to Ecuador 7 years ago. I am a permanent resident. I have all of my Apositiled documents,would I have to re Apostille
    everything again to apply for permanent resident in Panama?

    • @ndmlawfirm
      @ndmlawfirm  Před 10 minutami

      Hello sir, If you want to come to Panama and already have all apostille documents, you must not apostille them again. Remember that only the letter of the social security of the United States that verifies that receives at least $ 1000 monthly and the record policvo in this case of Ecuador must be apostille and presented not more than 6 months after it was issued.

    • @ndmlawfirm
      @ndmlawfirm  Před 4 měsíci

      Hello! your first residence for 6 months can be processed in 3 working days until permanent residence is ready, Migration usually offers a 6-month residence while processing your visa application and with that 6-month visa you can enter and leave Panama as a Panama resident without problems
