  • In this video, I will cover the apparent downfall of perhaps the most storied and significant international side in the history of football. The Seleçao of Brazil is one of the most iconic teams within sports history and their presence and dominance in the World Cup has been a tale that has been told since the mid 1950's.
And whilst they still hold the record of winning the most FIFA World Cups in history with 5 magical triumphs to the top of the world, in he last five world cups, the Seleçao have failed to live up to expectations.
Join me, in the breakdown and analysis of Brazil's World Cup downfall and how a once unbeatable side has become a perennial disappointment in recent memory.

This is my fifth video ever as a CZcamsr. It's also my fifth ever time I've ever edited or done any kind of voice track on a video, I'm usually a very reserved and private person but football has been the most significant thing in my life since I can remember and has stayed that way since then.
As many of you know, the love never dies.
Please let me know what I can improve on and what topics you wish to see me cover. This is my fifth, im sure there is a lot I can improve on.

We talk about this a lot in Brazil. Yes, there’s the pressure, but that’s nothing new. The Seleção has always had immense pressure since 1970, but they’ve performed under those circumstances before and even gone all the way.
The problem is the technical ability of our coaches: we’re still stuck in the past. Even R9 said, when he came back to Corinthians in 2008, that football here hadn’t changed since he had left Cruzeiro has an 18 year old boy.
Tite was far and away the best coach Brazil had, and he was outclassed and had absolutely no idea what to do against an aging Croatia side that, apart from its midfield, had nothing impressive going for it. Apart from the Germany defeat in 2014, this was our most embarrassing defeat ever. Since atleast in 2018 we got unlucky against Belgium’s greatest team in history.
His substitutions were laughable too, subbing off Paqueta, an AM, for Fred, another AM, and bringing off Militão, who was our best RB playing improvised and our best defender, to bring on Alex Sandro and move Danilo to RB, two mediocre players who were just coming off injury.
Don’t get me started on calling up Dani Alves at 39 too and wasting a call up spot on a position we were very weak in.
Our physical training is pathetic, we were exhausted and gassed out after 90 minutes whilst the Croatians could keep fighting.
Another weird thing was that Tite brought his son along with the staff, probably because he needs a job, rather than a psychologist to help deal with the pressure.
It’s not even a question of South American football being passed by the Europeans, since Argentina just won the trophy, we lack unity, teamwork and a real fighting spirit.

I have to agree with you. Brazil always had talented players, they lack strategy now. Tite costed Brazil this 2022 World Cup with his terrible substitutions and team selection. You had a player like Douglas Luiz but still picked Fred. And Fabinho didn’t even play. Richarlison playing with hamstring injury and Martinelli not even getting proper chance. I watch Brazilian league games often, club teams other than Flamengo and Palmeiras rest seems lacking good strategy, living in the past. Argentina has many good coaches who understand the game, Poche, Simone coaching in Europe but Brazil has no coach in Europe. And my Brazilian friends tell me that CBF is corrupt as f**k. Hope Brazil learns the modern game because individual talent is not going to win it now. Will cheer for the Selecao again in 2026.

Question? Do you think he should’ve matched croatias midfield 3 with a 3 of his own? to attempt to at least get more ball. croatia was playing a defeanive possession game but that could’ve been taken away with Bruno G. Or did tite just want as many attackers and forwards as possible? I thought that was alil naive especially vs croatias very good midfield 3.

    • @patrickdavies9790
      @patrickdavies9790 Před rokem +81

@@S1LVAW0LF No, Tite screwed up thinking the same attacking line up we used against South Korea would work against a top European side, and when everyone and their grandmother could see that Brazil were completely dead in the midfield, he did nothing to change the formation or game plan and thought we would still win that way. He was extremely naïve and borderline arrogant thinking Brazil could win that way.
The problem with Tite is that he didn't trust Bruno G enough and that's why he didn't let him play, it's one of the reasons the brazilian press have criticised him so much. He calls up players who are either injured, past their prime or not in form anymore simply because he trusts them.
It's why he keeps calling up Gabriel Jesus for us despite not scoring any goals since 2019 copa america final.
Scaloni realised Croatia's only strong point was their midfield, so he played with five players in the midfield and put Paredes and Fernandez on Modric, pretty much blocking him out of the game, killing Croatia's attacking threat since they had no good strikers.
And then when Argentina got a penalty, Croatia couldn't afford to just sit back and play for a draw anymore and had to attack in hopes for an equalizer, opening up space in their defence which allowed Argentina to annihilate them on the counter.
That's what makes this defeat so embarrassing, Argentina destroyed the team that knocked us out simply because their coach wasn't a moron and knew exactly how to expose Croatia, since they literally only had one game plan.

The articulation for the attack was dependent on neymar and vinicius. And it didn't work to try to articulate with other players, the coach had no experience with this way of playing and it didn't work. Brazil lost several cups that had an extremely talented but technically much inferior team. European coaches make up a third of coaches in the Brazilian championship, and there are no Brazilian coaches in any team in Europe, that's a fact. As a brazilian, and since your video focused mainly on Neymar and pressure, I would argue that pressure is mainly an issue for Neymar himself, not necessarily a main issue for the whole team. I'm from an age where I've seen Ronaldo, Romário, Ronaldinho, Rivaldo, Kaká, Adriano and many of the greatest brazilian players from the 90's and the 2000's. Absolutely no player has ever been more present on media - not just social media, but the media in general - than Neymar has. He was known among football fans even before he debuted in professional football. Along the early years of his career, when he was still playing here in Brazil, he was constantly the main attraction on some of the biggest TV shows, constantly the main piece in the news, tabloids and everything else. Neymar himself, his father, his sister, his ex-girlfirends, his affairs, his son, everyone around him and everything he did was subjected to wide media coverage.
To further talk about Neymar, we have to talk about another man: Galvão Bueno, the biggest, nationwide most known announcer and sports commentator; he was the main announcer for Brazil's main team's matches in the biggest TV channel/network on the entire country for some 30 odd years. Galvão officialy retired from annoucing after 2022's World Cup ended. He covered 13 World Cups. When Neymar begins to play for Brazil's main team, not long after he debuted for Santos, Galvão idolized Neymar like he was some kind of second coming in the making. There is speculation to why that happened, but nothing can be ultimately proven as a fact. Ronaldo (R9), through his sports business company was one of the main entities behind Neymar's career at the time, the main one being Neymar's father, who was and still is his manager. There is said to have been meetings of the pair of managers with the network executives and Galvão. Through what only could have been a lot of money and other things we can't know for certain, it's said they sealed a deal. Galvão, on behalf of the channel would have to boost Neymar's name and popularity, and the other shows and news programs of the network would do the same. Although there is some evidence for this case, we don't have access to many details, so again this is speculation so far. Galvão widely popularized the term "menino Ney", something like "Ney the kid", "boy Ney", anyway, you got the gist of it. "Menino Ney" was the most well known nickname for Neymar in Brazil, one that he is still know by to this day even being 30 years old already. Neymar was treated and portrayed like the ultimate golden boy, untouchable, a young celebrity on the rising. It was almost like football was just a background for his fame.
Those notions were so insistently pounded into brazilian's minds by the media that after some time it started being annoying and even infuriating. Bear in mind that all of this was around 2009-2013, BEFORE social media had the humongous size it has today. A lot of people started to gain distaste on Neymar's figure even before he was involved in any major controversy. Despite that, some sports comentators would say back in the day that Neymar was the biggest one to ever come after Pelé. Some still maintain this opinion as a fact to this day. Neymar's ego was boosted so much from such a young age that he was quickly known among professionals and people around him (inside and outside the field) for his entitlement, insubordination, lack of respect, short temper, emotional outbursts and so many more problems. So much so that back in 2010, the year after he debuted, Atlético Goianiense's coach René Simões said on a press interview right after his team played a match against Santos that by indulging Neymar and letting him behave like that they were "creating a monster", and that Neymar needed to be educated and to learn his place. Neymar would stand up to referees when they didn't call a foul on him (even after rolling on the ground, acting and exaggerating everything) as well as he would defy the orders and authority from coaches and older teammates alike. If there was a penalty, he would grab the ball and run up to the mark to take it, even if and when he was not the team's main penalty taker. If the coach decided to swap him in the middle of a match, Neymar would get angry and argue with him. It was like Neymar was a star and everyone else had to bow their heads to him, and if someone stood up to him, they could only be envy, filled with jealousy, only trying to take away his shine.

The following years were more or less the same, things for Neymar would barely change. The only exception was his time at Barcelona. Things were smoother and with less controversy because he wouldn't and couldn't defy and try to trump figures like Messi, Suarez, Xavi, Iniesta or Luis Henrique. He had to play by their rules, as a team. When he left Barça and then joined PSG, Neymar showed his true colors again. He thought he could boss the entire team, but he is terrible at that. What Neymar failed to perceive after so many years is that football is team played, and he is at his best being a team player. Although technically skilled beyond any doubt, Neymar is not the kind of player that can oftenly turn an entire match by himself, like most people believe. He is a team player. In spite of that, the notion of "a genius" that can do everything by himself was hammered into his brain since the beginning, because we, Brazil as a country, were in a shortage of great players like the ones we had in the past. So, by being the best and youngest one, Neymar was always taught to believe he had to do everything by himself and the team had to play by him. This is a notion openly shared by many who coached him, even by the media and sports commentators.
It's not like bad behaviour is a new problem for brazilian players, we had players that would rival Neymar long before his time. Romário is one of the greatest examples. He liked the night life and partying way too much. He was oftenly overbearing and hard-headed. Romário even left european football and came back to Brazil because he liked partying too much and he wanted to be around his friends. His big head would ofently come through a big mouth, and so his irreverence was well documented in the media. Through controversy, specially with coaches, he would not get to play the 2002 World Cup. He also didn't like training, so was no rarity for him to skip it. Despite all of that, still, Romário always delivered. In the last minute, Romário asked to take a penalty in the 1994 World Cup final, even if by then he only had taken three penalties in his entire professional career and he would even refuse to take penalties in training, mocking the other players' training. Still, he argued with the coach saying something like "I've got you covered, let me handle this". And he scored. Romário is renowed for instances were he would stand up to coaches and tell them things like "If I score three goals in this game, you will swap me after halftime and I am off to a plane to Brazil to party". And he would always score. He famously said, in more than one instance, that "when I was born, God stared at me and said 'you are the man'". He was Zlatan before Zlatan. Romário thrived in challenge and pressure, Neymar cracks under it. Yet still Neymar is looked up by all his country mates like the main source of leadership and inspiration.
By this point, we come to another crucial point in Brazil's downfall: the coaches. Tite, who was our coach for the last six years is not a professional capable of winning a World Cup. Is not like he is overtly bad, he is perhaps the best brazilian coach we could have picked at the time, but he does not have what it takes. He doesn't study the teams he is up against; he is not capable of making significant changes to a team, to the team tactics or formation during a match; he is not able to comprehend where he fails and why, and that comes through all his interviews with his snooty persona. Even worse, Tite's philosophy revolves around pleasing the players he likes and trust, he looks up to them even when they are not playing well for months or years on end. Throughout all his years with Brazil, Tite always treated Neymar like a protegee. He took Neymar under his arms and would never let anyone criticize him. Neymar was never left to stood up for himself. That kind of attitude only made things worse for everyone. Even Galvão - who was one of the biggest boasters of Brazil's team, coach and specially Neymar- was in a falling out in the last couple of years. He heavily criticized Tite and Neymar, even controversially called Neymar "an idiot". A lot of people that really liked Neymar are now angry at him, not because of what he is, but because of what he could have been. So much wasted potential. He could have rivaled Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo's hegemony if he really wanted to.
Football here in Brazil, specially concerning to coaches, is very much stuck some 20 years in the past, we are pretty much living off our past glory. Things are changing sluggishly due to a myriad of reasons, one of them being the hard-headed, proud and stubborn mentality of many people involved. There is also a fair bit of corruption, lobbying and general lack of investiment and care by some of the biggest football associations. For now, we will have to look at our "hermanos" and historical rivals Argentina to at least try and start to get our stuff together.

To further understand the young Neymar's mentality (and the mentality of many of our players from the younger generations), there is a curious history that surfaced recently. Everyone around Neymar knew he would become a great player since he was a child, so much so that when came the time for him to enter what is analogous to high school, there were a lot of private and renowed schools from Santos (the city) competing for his enrollement, even offering for him to study for free, because getting him into their schools was like free marketing given he was already famous. He got into one of those schools. One time, when he was approximately 14 years old, during an exam, Neymar simply returns the exam blank when the time is out. The following day, the teacher aks him why he did that, as he aswers "teacher, I don't need that, I won't be on a crap salary like yours. I will be a football player." She then starts to cry. (yes, I know some will say this is a good fic, but it was confirmed by people close to Neymar). Neymar, as well as many of our younger players, was already a millionaire by 14. He was the main source of income for his parents and family ever since he was 13. By 15 he had a salary of approximately USD 7000.00 a month, adjusted to todays inflation. That is good money everywhere, but here in Brazil that's a load of money, he already was into the 1% richest by then.

There is no Rivaldo, no Cafu, no Roberto Carlos, no Dunga, no Leonardo and certainly no Romario/Ronaldo/Bebeto/Ronaldinho. They are all like Coutinho. In the Croatia match when Brazil conceded, it was only the backline of Brazil that was there during the counter by Croatia, not one player tracked back fast, which explains why they lost, tired legs or not, you have to fight till the end, this is something Brazil didn't come across.

Neymar is actually lacking the right motivation and mental strength. Maybe its the lack of a suitable partner. He's involved in hookups and relationships that don't last long. And his friends are always partying. Because they get to travel in private yachts and jets. His current gf also loves to flaunt on social media. Its sad actually. He is not able to see the reality because it has been always like this since his teenage years. The kind of love he shows to his son is actually very deep so it isn't like that he doesn't have that caring side in him. But not a single person around him bothers to show him the mirror. Because everyone is making money off of him.
He can still win and amaze the world but that would require a great partner. Who could show him the true faces of these leeches. And make him understand how blessed he is to be able to stand on that football field with millions of people cheering for him. I mean god has given him so many chances. He gets injured but is healed because god knows he can achieve great things. I hope he get to meet a good girl who will show him the reality of world. The reality that there's no way that all these bunch of people he always hangs out with are his real friends. They are just having the times of their lives while Ney is spending his money. Also that how much he'll regret all this later in life when he won't be on the field anymore and the young players will take over. He believes in god but is not on the right path. The key is not to be a religious person but a righteous person. Clubbing everyday with bunch of girls dancing in your lap and then getting in bed with one of them is no way the definition of enjoying life.
He needs to turn himself into a man. He'll be 31 this year. He talks about getting married and having kids. But if you are getting into relationships from hooks-ups and Insta DMs, no way you'll wife up one of them. Physical attraction will fade away one day. He need to get into the mindset of gratefulness. and realize that there are millions of kids out there who have his posters in their rooms and they dream of being like him one day. But you know what, they change their mind because everyone laughs at them for idolizing a player who disappointed so many people because of his un-seriousness towards the game. I pray he meets a good girl who isn't a gold digger and have values and turns his life around. I mean look at Robert Downey Jr, he turned his life around just so he could marry his wife. Now he is one the most loved celebrity. He needs to become a family man. Nothing will be impossible for him if he understands the truth of life.

Most people don’t know that Garrincha took over that Brazilian team and single handidly won the WC by himself, making the greatest WC performance ever by single player, not even Maradona in 1986 is as good as Garrincha in 1962. I know Brazilian know about this, but most football fans nowadays don’t even know about Garrincha. Just look at twitter, Instagram, its all about “Pele is the GOAT he won 3 world cup” without even mentioning how he only contributed to 2 WC wins and not mentioning Garrincha at all. That Brazilian team having both Pele and Garrincha at the same team is like if Messi and C Ronaldo play for the same national team it was unfair for other teams. Excellent video. Brazil was one of the few, if not the only team, that didn't bring a sports psychologist with them. The country is still very ignorant about the help that psychologists can give, specially in a competitive environment. That loss against Croatia was 100% psychological. They were done in their minds before the penalty kicks came in. Weeks later Allison was saving the very goals he let slip during that game. Argentina brought a team psychologist and some of the player themselves, specially Emi Fernandez, brought some of their own psychologists.
If there is a team that need this type of support is Brazil because Brazilian media is so unforgiving and is so critical of their players. Everything they do is judged and microanalyzed. They went to eat at that restaurant owned by Salt Bae and all the Brazilian media talked about for days was how absurd it was for them to eat meat covered in gold. Meanwhile, France, Argentina, and other national teams also went to the same restaurant and their media didn't even notice. Those pictures showed up weeks later in social media with little judgement.
How can you play effectively when you have the media treating you like a God when you score but treating you like shite when you lose? Way too much pressure. Argentina with all those losses of the past, their media always glorified their effort and Messi is still considered a hero. Compare that to Neymar who most of Brazil hates and criticizes. Kind of hard to perform well when you have that amount of judgement. That is why these players are stars in European teams but then flop in the national team.

But then again, i don't think it matters that much because Argentina was just a better team, with more spirit and an actual coach, chances are Brasil would lose in a much more shameful way against them so maybe losing to Croatia before having to face Argentina was better.

Difference between Brazilian football occurred after changes on national competitions, instead of doing knock-out campaigns where anyone could win the prize (like Leicester done in 2016), they changed and now only the big teams compete in equal matches, the lower teams can't keep the competition and lost. This is not the real problem, the competition could be any other way; But this change created a new way of players to do their game (in mind and football), now instead of fight and play to win and gain the prize, they just play to keep their position in the table/standings. The last generation who experienced the real knock-out era were the 2006 players, after that they're just playing to keep their clubs alive in the highest position in rank (because it gives money to the club and C B F). CBF chooses this way of matches not because it's better for the clubs or for the players, but because, the most matches a club can make, the more audition and money they would get with it, and always, always CBF take profit of those matches. Brazil is not suffering because the players are bad or the coach is not good, but because the way they're prepared to play matches changed to became a profit show and not a football show anymore. (like it was in Pele era and 90's.)

Messi even Maradona annointed him as his successor at 18 years old. You don't get more pressure than that from any nation.Messi literally had the expectations of Argentina behind him, a country that expected one special footballer to be able to bring a world cup to them. Neymar meanwhile always had a strong team around him. Sure both had high expectations, but Messi's for Argetina was more intense and beyond Neymars. Messi was expected to do what Maradona had done and carry Argentina to a world cup win by himself, Neymar was expected to just be excellent and win the world cup. Guys im not an expert , but as a brazilian let me share a few thoughts, on what is causing Brazil trouble:
    1. Pressure is a key factor of course, the social media pressure is insane on Brazil, every player is expected to be a talented dribbler a good finisher etc, even though most football fans know this is unreal most brazilians who go on ranting on social media don't know this. Also they are attacked in a very brutal manner, in brazil the political situation is pretty divided ( last election was 51-49) , neymar supported the right wing and there were people who would be cheering for him to be injured.
    2. Lacking a playmaker, i know playmakers are not popular today but we do not have anyone to link the defense to the attacking side very well, we had rivaldo and kaka in the past nowadays we have a good defense and a good offensive side but no one to connect one to the other, also if you see brazil play its frustrating how we cant create a proper goal chance.
    3. Stategy : Brazil strategy is poor , most of our players cant play in proper level or how they should be used in our selecao. Just look at gabriel jesus, we joke here about Tite using him as a CB . We have no tactical prowess . Another example was Lucas Moura in his best years having no opportunity to favor Hulk/Bernard who was never brilliant for our team.
I hope we win,i have a brother who loves football and never saw Brazil win WC, he was crying heartbroken after our loss against Croatia and would want to see we win just for him. And for the comments saying we dont compare with Pele, we do , the media is doing that to Endrick right now

Brazil failed because they are too arrogant and aren't serious enough, they care more about their haircuts and dances then they do about winning football matches. they are always favorites ,they always have a strong team, that's all good and all on paper but you still have to go out to the match and prove it every single game.
In this world cup, the teams that really were passionate or the ones who had good results and the big teams that were lukewarm and not 100% focused on their football like Brazil and Germany and Belgium crashed out in humiliating fashion.

They didn't win because of arrogance. So I have lived in Brazil for the last two years now and was excited to be in Brazil for the World Cup and watch them play. By the end of their second group stage game I was already secretly hoping they lost.
Let's start with the team first. They all try so hard to have this auroa of the 2002 team. They think teams are going to respect them because they are the Brazilian team. They think they can just perform a goal show and dance and that its all good. That may work against teams like South Korea, but when a team (like Croatia) will look you back in the eye and hit back, how will you act? They cower at that. This team can't overcome anything in the face of adversity because the mentality of this team is that of a spoiled kid who is constantly told how special he is by his parents and everyone around him. Completely unaware that there are other kids (teams) that never have their talent noticed and have to work even harder for it. The irony of that is some of the Brazilian players grew up quite poor. With a soft mentality like this, you can never win.
Also during my time here, I got to experience the fans. The slogan here was "O Hex Vai Vem" or something along these lines which means the 6th is coming. My time here made me realize that the fans are essentially Dallas Cowboy fans. Who at one point were spoiled with winning and think they are entitled to it. However, the problem is they haven't won in a while but we won't stop talking about the glory days.
In conclusion, I love Brazil and the people here and I respect their National team a lot. However, their play and their attitude was honestly embarrassing. Without learning how to play with some grit, tactics, and character they will crash out like this against equal opponents every time.

The Brazilian team was a team of social media fashionistas facing a bunch of men on a football pitch. The men won. in 2014 was the year of the delusional spoiled teens versus a team of men, they got a reality check. Eight years later, the delusions are still markedly high in the South American football team. Even with all the talent in the world, a warped sense of self/team will forever haunt the squad. At least now Neymar can go bar hopping with Ronaldinho in Paraguay. On the other end of the spectrum, the one facing resilience we have the goalkeeper from Argentina and most of that WC squad. They faced some real challlenges on the way to the top, and rose higher and higher each time -at some points inexplicably so-. There is your difference of mentality and of purpose at play, Naymar busy pretending he matters while players like Benzema, Mbappe, di Maria, Modric and Messi were busy doing the work to give their respective side the best possible chance to advance on that day in that/those match(es). As a Bulgarian I can happily proclaim: Forza Argentina!

We lacked a coach with creativity and understanding of the problems, who insisted on attacking power even if our midfield was overwhelmed, who did almost the same formation every time. To me this just reads like a bitter gringo being bitter, we wont ever stop having confidence in our team or believing in the sixth star, like it or not thats our way, in a sense its a statement, the baila vini movement was a big motive for the dancing.

As a bra fan since 2002, brazil failure is due to players attitude and tite tactics. Cro mf is the best in the last 8 and he continues to play the 4141 formation which means brazil lack mf cover and Casemiro is single handedly man marked by Modric. I can't understand what did tite see paqueta ahead of guimares. If guimares started Modric would have a hard time man marking both Casemiro and Bruno, giving neymar more freedom to move along the lines. 2) squad selection by tite. To win the World Cup, your players must have different attributes. Full backs are an issue for brazil but why don't tite picks one inverted (danilo, sandro) and one overlapping fullbacks in this case? Vanderson and Renan lodi (though defensively he is suspect) could have been chosen instead. 3) tite claims to have watch joelinton during his trip to st James park, and he stil thinks Fred is better? When it is apparent brazil lost the mf battle vs Croatia in the first half, joelinton (if chosen) should have been put on to replace raphina and change it to a 442(bruno to replace paqueta). This would give brazil more mf cover vs cro strong mf. 4) lack of quality bra coaches. As much as tite has revolutionised the squad when he took over in 2016, he is not the man to take brazil forward, as his tactics and substitutions are baffling, costing brazil in 18 vs bel and now vs croatia. If only tite was smart in squad selection and tactics, this is easily brazil cup as I believe the team is so much stronger than Argentina

    without watching the video yet:
Maybe playing a 2v3 in the midfield against a team whose entire identity revolves around having a good midfield and relying purely on star talent could be a bad idea? who knew? If croatia had good strikers the game wouldn't even be close.
Just look at what argentina did against croatia, they changed their formation to use a 4v3 in the midfield. Not only they dominated the midfield, they also had better goal scorers than croatia, so it resulted in a 3-0.
TITE chose to NOT bring a psychologist with the squad btw. even with the pressure of being brazil.

@@danielcancel2901 I just have this feeling that Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo will want to play their 6th world cup to go for the world record for being the only players in history to play 6 world cups and that will step up the level of other world class players who may want to follow Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo footsteps including Neymar. It is hard to make it to the national team as you have to make the team and be part of the coach list for the world cup. I think Neymar has the talent to make it to the team in 2026 and 2030 which would be his 4th and 5th world cups. Neymar after Ronaldo is the best player Brazil has produced. The other players are great, but he is the only one who shown the talent of being a major player. Maybe some other very good players from Brazil may come out but, Neymar is the best player in Brazil. Vinicius Junior may be the 2nd best, then followed by the others. Neymar has a strong chance to redeem his reputation and become world champion. Neymar has a chance to be better then Lionel Messi, Crisitiano Ronaldo, Mbappe, Robert Lewandowski, Luka Modric, Erling Haaland, Zlatan among his contemporary best top ranked soccer-football players in the world.
The problem with Neymar is that he isn't fully focused along with very talented players from Brazil men's professional team. If Brazil gets their act together they will return to be world champions and not just be like Belgium a top ranked team in the world who doesn't win the world title.
