Hi guys!
Today I wanted to share my experience with the gestational diabetes test that I had done (twice) at 28 weeks pregnant. Testing for gestational diabetes is incredibly important and I don't want my story to discourage anyone from doing the test. I'm just sharing my experience.

Kendra, you are looking great. I know blood draws are a pain when you get someone not that great at doing them. I am also hard to find Veins. Praying for your good health. ❤❤❤❤
Ouch! Not cool chica! I too hate tiny sharp objects. To help prevent the ouch, add a 5% lidocaine or other analgesic to your skin and let sit under plastic for 30 min with low heating pad.
This numbs the skin area to be pricked and will remain so for up to 3 hours. Drink water if you can before you go so you are not dehydrated. I know, as a crohns patient my docs often inquire if I work on blood dust.

@@kinsley7777 I already have an induction scheduled for 9/18 if I haven’t delivered by then. I’d be 41 weeks on induction day if that were the case, but we’re hoping she comes naturally before then!
