Kendra, Congratulations. I'm so happy to know that you and baby are OK. Being a new mom with a newborn baby is hard. No sleep, learning her likes and dislikes. Feeding, changing diapers and washing clothes all while getting little to no sleep. Stay strong, sleep when she does. She will grow so so fash you will not believe it. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏♥️♥️♥️♥️😏😏

Welcome to motherhood lolol. I remember those sleepless nights all to well. My daughter never wanted to sleep. Just remember it gets better. Dont throw ur ball syringe out they work well to suck water out of the ears after swimming as they get older. Wishing u nd the family well

Kendra…my son (who is now 28) was the exact same size as Elora at birth. I had the same problems with him latching on and it was due to not having enough milk for him. At that time, we were told that bigger birth weight babies tend to have sensitive stomachs and want to eat more frequently (and since he was only a few once’s from being 9 pounds he was considered a bigger birth weight). We actually had him on lactose free formula (not soy) and he finally started sleeping through the night. He would also allow us to put him in his pack and play for naps. Elora likes being held because of the pressure on her stomach and keeping the pain and discomfort away. I hope this helpful. And you fall in love with bottle warmers! Good luck I’m sure y’all will be great parents!
My daughter weighed 10 lbs 2 ozs, 21 1/2 in long. I tried to breastfeed, but she was just lazy the Dr said. So I pumped and she loved it!

Interesting! She tolerates breastmilk fine now and is exclusively breastfed/pumped milk. Overnight it seemed like she stopped tolerating the formula we were giving her (both Similac sensitive and a soy based formula). She does have times when she’ll sleep long stretches in her bassinet but she’s still wanting to latch a lot. And now that she’s latching more often, she doesn’t like cold milk haha

That’s great! Maybe she won’t have issues with lactose intolerance or sensitivity. Plus it would be much better for her immune system.
You're doing awesome!! I will say I think it's awesome that you're doing both breastfeed and bottle. I wish I had done that with my first born. I only breastfed and it became a big problem when I became ill and had to stop abruptly. My son absolutely refused the bottle. It took his father, patiently, over 3 days and many different bottles to get him to take one. He was 7 months old.

Thank you! Yes she does fine with both now, we breastfeed and give her pumped breast milk in a bottle, which is great because it allows my husband to take some night feedings!

My Daughter has a 7 month old, she's still Breastfeeding, but has been supplementing with formula since the Birth, she just never had enough Breastmilk to fill her up and my precious Granddaughter's name is Aurelia.❤
