I have always got green leg pullets from my sweaters, I never bred them to get green leg roosters, I did have a few roosters pop up green leg through the years, I liked the green leg traits, they were gold colored roosters with black tails and yellow legs, totally opposite the normal orange color sweaters with white in the tail! It’s great crossing the two together.

Yes very, they seem to always react really quick in movements and are Hatch like just have a light yellow hackle to them. I’ve raised them for years and i’ve never owned a yelled legged sweater. To this day i have some GL✌️👍
A good Hatch cross is hard to beat. Just like the man said Sweaters are crossed up birds, All game fowl is pretty much crossed up that Hatch blood is Strong why do you think them old Sweaters can show as good as they do. (Hope l don't ruffle to many feathers with that comment) Let's say you buy a Tiro of Billy Bob's Barn Burners and there really good birds, you breed them for two years the way you want to they actually become your barnburners weather they win are run off really won't be fair to old Billy Bob if you make a mistake some were down the line now would it.A lot of folks raise Chickens but a good breeder well is a good breeder it takes years and a good combination to raise winners most of the time of course a lot of ya'll know that

I do line breeding sweater pea comb but I get a strait comb pullet

I have 3/4 kelso, 1/8 mcleanhatch blue legged and 1/8sweater and the pullet is green legged
