Those long tom go pretty hard...almost like little marlin..tail walk on the surface etc...just a thin strip of flesh..helps if the skin of the flesh has silver/ white or chromish colour as attractant...on a small sharp (has to be sharp) hook..hard mouths...no sinker and 30lb trace near the hook to lessen bite offs because they have a mouth full of needle sharp teeth...ive caught them upto 90cm near the sanctuary cove marina...bigger models give the best fight..on lighter gear 2-4kg plastics rod etc
