Dude i don't even play bass. I play guitar. (Nowhere near as well as you play bass) I am so addicted to your videos. It's literally the most mind blowing musical prowess I've seen in a long time. Bass gets a bad rap (if you've ever been in a rock band you know that) the fact that you chose bass and play it like a fkn virtuoso is such a nice breath of fresh air. Way to be a true musician and thank you so much for blowing my mind.

Ha, yeah, there are 3-4 songs I've played in a cover or variety band that were one note as well, all riding the low E (one detuned to a D). I was lucky enough to be needed on keyboard for most of them and set that on a tape loop. I probably at one time could've played this (his cover version) as well. I was definitely faster at slap bass, not sure about finger tapping. He'd slaughter me today on bass (while once primary, it is now behind cello, piano and guitar).
I love that there is still obvious deep respect for the original musicians even when their songs may not be the most musically…challenging? This series seems to seek to elevate the source material, not denigrate it. Awesome as always!

It's my humble opinion that you are the best bass player alive today although that's really splitting hairs as there are so many good players. However, I believe you are the best because you are insanely technical in every area AND you stuff still sounds like music. You're a pleasure to watch EVERY TIME!!! Such excellent grooves here, loved the Stan moment as well. Epic. One question - what the hell is that move Charles is doing; he started in part 2 but part 4 (bass yourself) is the best example - he’s doing like a double thumb plus a finger snap, it almost seems like a roll of some kind - flaminco style-esque. am i correct in seeing this as an up thumb followed by double pluck? I know he uses this sound alot and I want to use it too; this is the most clear and isolated ive seen the technique.
Triple. It takes a few to get it smooth. It's gotta be in your practice at least twice a week for a while after you get it if you want to keep it.
