- JOHN Swinney was yesterday likened to Rishi Sunak as he was accused of providing cover for a “chaotic and dysfunctional” SNP.
Scottish Labour leader Anas Sarwar made the comparison after Mr Swinney took over from Humza Yousaf
Mr Sarwar said of the First Minister: 'He might sound more competent, he might be more competent, but what people have already made their minds up about is they think it’s a chaotic and dysfunctional UK Tory government, and they can see he is just a veneer that covers a divided and chaotic and dysfunctional political party underneath.'

Exactly.
Holyrood was not set up to succeed, it was set up so that no party would get a majority, although the SNP did. It was set up so that Westminster could intervene in Scottish affairs although they are not meant to. Anything good from Holyrood has been condemned by Westminster or sabotaged so that it can't work. Sarwar, will be happy for that to continue whether he becomes FM or not. He is no friend of Scotland, he's just a Westminster puppet.
