It's was nice to do a spot with his sons dressed as Sting. Most wrestlers are like bands. They say we are going to retire and come back every five years like KISS, or CHER. Now that John Cena has announced his retirement 2025 tour. I hope we get to experience the whole John Cena era. Have some of the guys he wrestled wrestle him in varies matches.
Undertaker's was the best send off in my opinion, tho he did beat AJ Styles looking back at that storyline it made sense taker won, then the way he rode off with the motorcycle was perfect
All the people he has touched in his career will NOT forget it's a feeling you get INSIDE💥 it's hard to explain, BROTHER!🤔
Flair had the greatest send-off- but he messed it up by coming back 😢
Just want to give a shout out to this c channel. No matter what the subject matter Dutch is always entertaining and informative. And many times hilarious, especially when he's unintentionally funny! Love the show and I always try to remember to give a like, but just realized I never subscribed! That has now been rectified!
Sting essentially had the tour. They announced far in advance and even recognized was his last match in each city.
Tony chopping a line in the background at beginning of his audio
Lol 😅
My exact thoughts. Hahaha
I haven’t got to see this but I was the biggest WCW and NWA fan. I also followed the original ECW until it ended after I came on with them late. So I’ve missed some stuff but I’ve also seen a ton. The reviews of Sting’s send off have been mostly perfect. It might be the GOAT.
I wonder if Brother Love is going to replace Paul Heyman in this new Bloodline faction
I can hear it now… him telling all the Polynesians how much he loves them lol
Looking back I can't remember one of Sting's matches, ever.
Sting's sendoff could've been better honestly.I mean the guy got cut off on the payperview because they were running long. The night after Mania with Flair was memorable with everyone coming to the ring and saying their goodbyes..
Best wrestling podcast.
Who would have thought Sting & Ultimate Warrior
Both heavyweight championships belts
Sting's AEW in-ring run was light-years better than Sting's WWE burial.
Sting's WWE run was why Sting never signed with them for years... He knew what woukd happen... it was Vince's way of destroying the last of the WCW holdouts...
100%.
Sting was in his 60s burying younger wrestlers, most dumbass wrestling fans would cry about that but are ok if it's Sting in aew, hypocrites
A match with The Young Bucks should be considered a punishment. Flair’s sendoff was the best, even though he blew it by coming back.
shawnwbronx- I didn’t see your comment when I posted mine- but almost identical.😊
@@tonypastor705 great minds think alike.
@@shawnwbronxTrue😊
Ric flair retirement in 2008 is the greatest ever.
Isn't the best but certainly up there. It was also entertaining to see the Bucks take a pin.
You mean the Sting "puts no one over" tour? Oh yeah amazing, pft.
I think Ric Flair’s WrestleMania send off with Shawn Michaels WOULD HAVE BEEN the greatest send off in wrestling history IF Ric did not tarnish it.
So, now, I feel that The Undertaker’s Hall of Fame speech is the greatest send off in wrestling history.
I appreciate Tony Khan for things like this. He has enough money to rival Vince McMahon and to poach some of his talent. With him having all that, it gives him the ability to do right by the wrestlers instead of just doing what is right for his pocket book. Vince fucked over his talent and rode them HARD! He did not care about breaking them down or wearing them out before their years.
Yet those wrestlers were the ones continuously resogn9ng.those contracts.
Yall never put any heat towards the wrestlers for resigning. All yall cry about is what happened to them.
Then not only that but yall be wanting your faves in matches against each other but also cry when one has to lose and causes corner booking.
Yall created corner and 50/50 booking.
wwe is always about money and people wanted vince mcmahon to kiss there ass
I think Shawn’s last match with Undertaker was a great send off. Same with Natch’s original retirement match against Shawn.
sad they didn't leave it at that.
Flairs WWE retirement was by far the greatest send off. He ruined by coming back , but no other wrestler will get that .
Thank you sting
🛎
no because darby allin went through a payne of glass it's took away sting moment
It was real glass cry me a river😅
the only answer is 2nd best.
Flair's retirement match with one of The Rockers was total crap. If Shawn was blubbering in the ring because he didn't want to do his kick, then why even agree to have a match with the old drunk in the first place? Brock Lesnar should have been the one to retire Flair in a one-sided squash match. Maybe then I would feel some sort of emotion for Flair.
Yes it was the best last run
Best send off starts in January and is running thru December.
It wasn't a send off. It was an indy outlaw garbage match with that idiot Darby going through glass and glass shattering into the crowd to boot. It was the worst send off you can possibly do for a guy like Sting. How about..have a straight wrestling match, a proper tag team match. No glass. No bullshit. No gimmicks. Just a regular tag match. But of course they dont know how to book or get people over without resorting to gimmicks because Tony is terrible at everything he does. Yeah, some sendoff.
Tell us you're a Jim Cornette fan Boi without telling us you're a Jim Cornette fan boi.
Flair at WM 24 and Shawn at WM 25 were way better
Sting reminds me of joker.
Sting's final match should've been with one guy... like MJF, not only would Sting have a stellar match with a real top player like MJF... but, it could've elevated MJF as the guy in AEW by having that match with an Icon like Sting. Instead, they had a throwaway tag match with a couple flunky jobbers in The Bucks! Not much of a sendoff AEW dropped the ball on this one...!
Pretty sure the reason Sting was in anything goes tag team matches near the end was because he couldn't go anymore. And while I agree the actual match was trash with a garbage glory stealing spot, the actual speech and send off with his kids was heartwarming. Despite the cutoff.
0:18 I know it probably isn't, but it sure sounds like Tony is chopping up a line there 🤣
mushroomsamba82- I didn’t see your comment when I posted mine 😅
I’ve seen McDonald’s employees get better send offs
Post it.
@@ordinarypete post someone retiring from McDonald’s in the CZcams comments? Use ur brain
This is just petty. Maybe not the best, but this was definitely one of the better final runs and send-offs. If WWE did this for Sting you’d be singing a different tune
@@juansanchez209they’re more convinced Sting jobbing to HHH at his first & only wrestlemania was a proper send off.
@@ordinarypete It was amazing Darby went through a pane of glass suspended above the fryers. We had some great fries later with bits of broken glass (real glass-super crunchy) and bit of Darby sprinkled in. Meltzer gave it 6.5 out of 5 stars as it happened in Japan near the Tokyo Dome. It had run ins with Grimace, Mayor Mc-Cheese turned heel when he joined The Burger King, but Ronald came in at the last second to save the employee.
In Tony Clowns opinion, but not anyone else's
Sting was overrated
nope
By putting no young talent over. Good job sting for “burying” talent oh wait since you were in AEW and have sympathy for losing a Wrestlemania match then it doesn’t matter.
What are you talking about he gave Darbi Allen one of the best runs of his career teaming with him.
@@mikeg2491spot on 👍
Yeah right.. he is in discussion for the worst send off up there with Angle.
I didn't like it for a few reasons. One, it was with the Young Bucks. Two, it was a trashy hardcore match. Three, I feel like many fans remember that match as one where Darby took that ridiculous bump through the glass on the outside of the ring over being Sting's last match. Four, AEW mismanaged their time (again) so Sting's post-match promo got cut off.
I thought it was sad...just sad.
Hhh needs to bring sting back to wwe one last time at wm 41to wrestle the undertaker, they can both end their final career together in a full capacity stadium, now they don't have to deal with vince, lets just make this happen nick khan!!!!! They both need a PROPER send off,i really believe they can both pull it off successfully
vince wasn't about to put two old guys past their prime in a match it wouldn't it be good
@rishardwoody the undertaker can still move, and sting can still go,especially if they know THIS IS IT right here on the biggest stage of them all. They will 100% pull it off,if it's anyone that could do it,it's those two,the match itself would be good, past their prime?!!! Nonsense
@@kumodohaizi7234 did you watch goldberg vs undertaker
They are done with wrestling. Taker himself said the WM40 was a good enough send off and his itch to come back is gone. And there is zero shot for Sting to ever come back to WWE, even with Vince gone.
@@budafuka in besides that sting never liked wrestling
TK pushed a guy in his 60s cause hes a WCW-mark
