Quick correction: You can use mega evolution and Z-moves in the same battle in gen 7, but not with the same Pokémon. Sorry if I confused anyone :p
Also Z moves only work in the Alola region, no where else, it has somthing to do with the ultra energy or the energy of the legendary trio, I forget exactly. But that region has special energy that allows for Z moves, no where else can they be done. Alot like how galas is the only place for gigantamaxing.
@@blade24liger hey now it is not like that as you know ash used his z -move against volkner in the recent episode of pokemon journeys which is a place in sinnoh not in alola .

If that's the case, the next thing we're gonna see is ash catch arceus after having a pokemon mega, then gigantamax, then use a Zmove all at the same time to beat it.

Gengar could also end up Gigantamaxing. I think that's more likely for it than Mega Evolution.
And yeah. I'm also expecting Ash to use Mega Lucario against Bea. When Bea made a cameo in the Volkner episode, she had a Dynamax Band, clearly foreshadowing that their next battle will feature Dynamax.

Finally! Ash is going to Mega Evolve a Pokémon he owns, which is none other than his Lucario.
I think (emphasis on *think.* it's been a while since I've watch XY) maybe "Mega Island" is that one cave in Geosenge town where Korrina got her Lucarionite. I don't why it's called an island then but whatever just a theory. Also that Alain skit was pretty funny.
And it's kinda funny that someone kinda give Alain a nickname (that's for you Scott)
Sooo hyped for this🤩🤩😍😍....My only concern is that goh doesn't steal the spotlight during this arc...And please keep it up for 4 to 5 episodes...
I've called it before... And I'm still calling it... Ash's Mega Lucario spars/battles with Ash-Greninja at some point in the future. I have a feeling they're building up to it.
2:18 I'm pretty sure that isn't true, If you put a Z-Crystal and Mega Stone on 2 different Pokemon in the Gen 7 games I'm pretty sure you can use both
This has so much stirring through my head but I'll try to condence them.
1. I don't want Ash using Dynamax. This isn't a new thought it's only just hightened. It just doesn't seem like Ash's style matches with the slow, stand in one place and use big move oriented Dynamax. It's also really specific and doesn't lend itself to practice. This is sorta why I've dreaded Dynamax in the anime.
2. I really hope Ash has to train Mega Evolution like Korrina did instead of just "getting it". It wouldn't feel right and by extention take a dump on the effort Korrina had to put in and Korrina's only been taking L's this series.
3. I honestly thought this would never happen since he didn't get one in it's home region but even with my worries I can't wait to see it.

Pokemon X and Y, episode 43. Korrina and her grandfather Gurkin talk about the history of Mega Evolution and their ancestor, who found two peculiar stones (lucarionites). Ever since then, their family has guarded a place called "Mega Evolution Island". So yes, Mega Island was mentioned before in a previous season.
Idk if you noticed but they’ve been doing a lot of stuff like the games in journeys like Zappos being at a power plant

I thought it might be Charizard since they had a really awesome bond. I know Charizard gets a lot of attention, but I thought that with the history that Ash and Charizard had, that it would be Charizard who would get to mega evolve.

Expectations: ash will have to go through a rigorous trial of his worthiness and gain an even stronger bond with lucario.
Reality: he’s just given the stones with no consequences nor struggle just at the spot.

Just because he was given the mega stone. Doesn't mean that he's gonna get the Lucarionite easily. You gotta understand that key stones aren't really rare. It's the mega stone of the Pokemon that's rare. So maybe he will have a big challenge ahead on Mega Island.

Imagine a Dynamaxed Mega Lucario with a Z-Move (Fighting Type for STAB)
My first concern is about how Ash gets his Mega stone. I hope there'll be an episode between the Mega Island episode and the Alcremie episode to show Ash getting a key stone from Korrina. If not, how will the anime writers show Ash getting both his key stone and Lucarionite without rushing the process? We want to actually see Ash earn his key stone (I.e. actually see Ash work to earn his key stone) prior to getting a Lucarionite on Mega Island for his Lucario.
Believe he gets it from oak as Oak tried to mega evolve lucario in the promotion and then the summary said korina sends him to that island u get lucario at in the game to get the stone
