Can we just appreciate how much time it would’ve taken to program the two robots
Yeah! They would have to take hours making sequence and timing correct for each to make a good and funny video.
Aside from the editing perhaps, like the bit at the end where it "fixes" itself, it's not as painstaking as it looks. I copied this from Jason's blog post on his website about this build-
There is actually some cool programming going on here. The black box and the hand robot coordinate their behaviors using the Mindstorms Bluetooth capabilities. I have to say, I was super impressed with the ease and performance of this feature. Kudos to the EV3 team for such a fantastic implementation!
Despite what it might look like, the black box robot is actually driving the entire sequence. It sends messages to the hand robot to tell it what to do, then it either does an evasive maneuver, or waits for the hand to turn the switch off.
It responds to the switch being turned off the same way it always has, using the light sensor inside. It doesn’t use the proximity sensor to detect when the hand is there though. Since it is telling the hand what to do, it always knows what is going on. The hand would always trigger it anyway, since it is always above the sensor.
Instructions for building the the black box can be found in my original blog post. I haven’t put together instructions for the hand robot. Had a lot of fun making this video, hope you enjoy it!

Commander Derpling boi I threw it into an interdimensional wormhole and TWO came back, u think eating it will stop it? nah if u do that it'll chest burster yo butt (well actually it'll burst ur chest but u get what I mean). plus the first guy destroyed it which is kinda the same thing as ur idea but u'll end up with a hole in ur chest (and most likely dead).
I have come back to say that this was an incredible sequel. Not even Endgame could have done this better

I dont get why anyone would dislike this and the original video! I'm rewatching this after 5 years and I think this is what inspired me to play with the Lego EV3 as a kid. Now I'm making my own PCBs and stuff, that's how far I've come! Probably because of this video, one of the main things that got me into electronics

I was wondering if anyone would comment about that. Funny enough, I wasn't really planning on decorating the other robot, but there are a bunch of built hands sitting around our LEGO room right now for another project, so I figured I might as well stick one on. :)

This black box robot annoys the heck out of you whenever you want to leave. Then you decide this is your last straw. You switch the robot box on and off until it drains its batteries out. With dead batteries while you left, it secretly thinks to itself and moves again without you knowing.
I love how the box will randomly move and the switch will go inside the box just to fool people.
How to beat the ultimate Lego machine
Step one: find something heavy
Step two: put it on top of where the arm comes from
Step three: flick the switch since the arm can’t come up and hit it
Plot twist: a ufo comes out the side and moves the weight off using its tractor beam
Thinking inside the box - creating a machine to stop the box COOL!
I like how it eerily hovers in the end
