i remember when Mark Rober did something on a larger scale for Dominos to set up a domino art, i would love to see this channel and Marks mind collide to create something grand and fun
Combining several of the drawing mechanisms with the right gearing in between one could make a nice "Fourier pen"
Lego needs to work with this guy on a product line called Lego Gadgits or something like that. They could sell any of these as a kit and i'd buy it... especially the domino machine and the lawn mower. Fantastic...

I know right? I've been watching him for years and his creations are always just genius.
This reminds me of a tiny lego toy i made when i was a kid... It was just bricks, and it was a mini toaster with some lego toast in white, tan, and black. I wanted to do a magic trick for my parents, and I put on a little routine.... I would be like "Time to make some toast!" and drop the white bread into the toaster, and catch it out of the secret hole at the bottom, then switch it with the tan bread, pop it up, and say "Wow, it worked! But it's not as toasted as I would prefer..." then do the trick again but pop up the black toast and say "Aw dang! I overcooked it!"
I'm pretty sure in the end I was too shy to actually do it. Maybe one day I'll make a mechanical version of it.
All of these would be amazing desk toys.

I've been wanting to get into this but I am wondering how to get started so I want to ask you how did you get started with all your random pieces, what stuff did you buy first to get started? Thank you, please keep up the amazing work and videos you give me so much inspiration!
If you are wanting to start collecting Lego, I'd highly recommend having a look at some of the Lego Creator 3 in 1 sets. You get a lot of value for money with the parts, instructions for three different builds with each set (even the really small sets have three builds), some really cool build techniques, and interesting and unique pieces that you can then use for your own builds. The Creator Expert series is even cooler but they get quite expensive and can be quite overwhelming if you aren't used to the action of building Lego things yourself.
The branded sets such as the Lego Minecraft and Harry Potter sets are usually very appealing to people new to Lego as it gives a sense of familiarity, but do be aware you are paying licensing costs with these sets and even the small sets are considerably more expensive than the equivalent size set from a non-branded Lego theme.
There are online Lego markets out there where you can buy specific pieces from other collectors which can be perfect if you need large quantities of certain bricks for example. I wouldn't worry about those too much for now though as they tend to be for custom build creators and people who know just about every Lego brick available and exactly how many they will need for projects. There are also "aftermarket" Lego compatible items such as electric motors and lighting kits and other things like that.
Have fun with starting your collection, and remember to try keep Lego out of direct sunlight if you can as it will fade the bricks over time!
