    I have always used a control pad with my Amigas, either the CD32 pad or a Sega one. The D-pad on this new controller is the same as the CDTV's controller.

      Ah yes, forgot about the CDTV controller! It was infrared if I remember correctly, I wonder how responsive that was to play games with rather than just navigating menus etc.
      I think actually my preference for joysticks back then would have been the natural transition from 8 bit home computers to the Amiga, think if I perhaps had maybe a master system first I would have preferred the d-pad.

      I'm not sure either now, probably would consider it at half price.

      @@Marc_Araujo Yes, it should of course be the Amiga version

    I just don't understand why they didn't make a full working keyboard version maybe they will possibly, they did it with the C64 so why not this I just find that a very odd move. I get it's to save space etc maybe but then you still need to plug a usb keyboard in if using a game that should have it, but then you lose the space you saved anyway so....hmmm. But other than that it looks great :)

      I suspect there will be a full size version as with the C64, sales permitting probably. Yeah, find the mini consoles appealing in their form as there was only so much you did with the unit, but the home computers are different, they are all about the feel and interaction you had with them, the bashing of the keys and the clunk of the disk drive is all part of the nostalgia!

      @@HowtoRetro Completely agree, although I'm about to potentially buy an original A500 but if a maxi version of this got released I think the A500 would quickly go into storage haha.

      Totally! I do like the usb tank mouse. Bare minimum I think I'd be keen to buy one of those seperately, which I've also heard that they plan to sell seperately too. So as long as they're a bit more robust than the C64 joystick, then it'll be fine.

    What about CD32 emulation?! 😝

    • @HowtoRetro
      @HowtoRetro  Před 3 lety +1

      You'd have thought they'd have something in store given the CD32 inspired controller! Maybe if you can get the kickstart installed on there it will be able to run CD32 software too.
