This is something that really need to be use globally to help people with similar health challenges.
they saved you from death bud, lets be honest here. and mushrooms are one of the most amazing things on this planet i wish people would all realize. they could solve a lot of problems, more than just mental treatments, environmental clean up; the possibilities are endless with fungus.
Can you help with the reliable source I would really appreciate it. Many people talk about mushrooms and psychedelics but nobody talks about where to get them. Very hard to get a reliable source here in Finland 🇫🇮. Really need!
YES very sure of Dr.raymycology. I have the same experience with anxiety, depression, PTSD and addiction and Mushrooms definitely made a huge huge difference to why am clean today
I hate that psilocybin gets grouped with drugs like cocaine and heroin. Mushrooms are a remedy, not a vice! I went on a microdose treatment for a couple of months and within the first week, every sight of a cigarette got me questioning why I was doing all that to myself. It really works.

I would suggest to Dr. Tyson that since we evolved within a world full of various fungi, and we learned which ones are dangerous and which are not, it is possible that consumption of non-lethal psychedelic mushroom varieties may stimulate our bodies to produce beneficial byproducts, possibly including healing of trauma (evidence exists for this), and possibly including insights (suggestive evidence exists for this too).

Magic mushrooms (also called shrooms or mushrooms) are a type of mushroom that contain the chemicals psilocybin or psilocin. These chemicals cause you to see, hear, and feel things that are not real (hallucinations).
most magic mushrooms consumed worldwide are strains of “cubes,” which are easily cultivated indoors. They have large, flat golden-brown caps, which turn bluish-violet when bruised due to oxidation of their psilocin content. P. cubensis mushrooms are colloquially called golden halos or golden caps and popular strains are known as Golden Teacher, Penis Envy, and B+.
@@MilitaryBase-wt8jrMagic mushrooms come in fresh, dried, or powder form. Powdered psilocybin can be inhaled (snorted) or injected (with a needle). Magic mushrooms are also taken as a tea, cooked with food, or added to fruit juice.

I had been married for just over a year and had made my mind up to leave my wife. On one of my days off I had a pretty strong magical mushroom experience. I was forced to take a deep look into myself and realized how selfish I really was, not just regarding my wife but also relative to my family and friends. That was 50 years ago and I'm still married to my beautiful wife and our two children are kind hearted, successful and positive additions to the world. I obviously didn't bring back evidence from Mars, but in my case, my wonderful children are evidence enough, for me, that magical mushrooms aren't always illusory, but sometimes illusion erasers.

My experience of shrooms, the world is paradoxically functioning with balance, and our brains are designed to comprehend it a specific way, you add psilocin to your neurology and your mind gets so intricate and complex with its understanding and you realize that being sober the brain has perfectly reached a system of comprehension and function that shrooms only show you the complexity of the world and the perfection of our simplicity

Suddenly the car breaks down being unable to process the crystals and becoming clogged. "Damn car." What type of reasoning is that? Blaming the car when you put improper fuel in???
Fuel your brain with poison, it'll see poisonous perspectives. This is not the "true reality". It's reality with a damaged perspective causing it to seem completely unique. When we see a lesser version involuntarily it creates the perspective of seeing more. The dunning Kruger effect, the brain being able to think of less; causing the thinking it sees more.
It's ironic how often people in this chat claim studies prove nothing to experience. Completely ignorant that all knowledge starts in experience and ends in it. You want to believe that the studies are false or paid off? Feel free. But then START being surprised when your phone works like the studies say they will.
Give your brain proper intake, it'll offer proper output. For example, enriching your perspective by traveling trails on foot; seeing absolutely magnificent views. Is a perspective enhancing experience. Not giving yourself brain damage.

These near death experiences aren't intentional, so trying to plan an experiment wouldn't work necessarily. When I was little I had a heart murmur and when I would cry sometimes I'd stop breathing and I saw myself one time looking down at myself my face looked blue and I saw myself making a crying face children make when they stop breathing for a few seconds. I used to legit go into cardiac arrest or something frequently. It messed me up as a kid or growing up bc my family never realized it happened from all the stress they put me thru, my sisters used to make me cry like as if they wanted to see me go thru that or something like, when the doctors told them I had a heart murmur and they said I couldn't be too stressed they were like testing my limits or something bc they didn't understand or believe the doctors.

I was vaping weed one time with my partner while we were doing a puzzle and i felt like i zoomed out to space at one point and slowly zoomed back into earth until i stopped just above our heads and it was like looking at us through a piece of glass so I couldn’t say anything down to us that we could hear, but i just chilled there for a few minutes (it was probably more like a few seconds but it seemed long) watching us do the puzzle, and i had completely stopped moving and stopped working on the puzzle the whole time I watched. Then when i sort of went back into myself I began doing the puzzle again. Everything I understand leads me to believe it was entirely a hallucination, but it did look like it was real. I’m always curious as to why I wasn’t working on the puzzle though, which is sort of akin to Neil’s writing on paper experiment. Was I sitting still because my self was actually watching my body so my body couldn’t think to do the puzzle, or is that just what I know makes logical sense and so my brain concocted that image? That’s always my thought process when people on hallucinogens say they “saw god”: if someone had never heard of the concept of a god or gods, would they be able to hallucinate one? I feel like hallucinations are necessarily limited by the individual’s brain and beliefs subconscious and sort of general understanding of the universe. And that’s a bit more testable than with near death experiences. Have subjects report what they see in drug induced hallucinations and see if they experience things or “see” things which have no correlative to any concept or thing they are already aware of. But even that poses challenges because how can you know a test subject has no concept of something without asking them, and in merely the act of asking you are introducing the concept.

Psychedelics are beautiful in solving mental issues, during a trip it enhances the ability to speak to your inner self. However, majority of people do not use it for that purpose, in addition often people will not listen to their inner self, I’ve figured a plan to fix my life, but I’ve never implemented it. However without doubt the abuse of Psychdelics is also extremely dangerous, I’ve seen it first hand. Personally I wouldn’t take them again.
Scientist name: Neil “confuse them to convince them” deGrasse Tyson.
nothing he said was confusing?
Mushrooms are not about "the ride" its about the subjective experience you have while on it. Mushrooms have helped me out of the darkest spot in my life. It's not about where you go or what you see, it's what you feel and discover about yourself. The new ways of thinking that are available to you while influenced by psilocybin are incredible.
Same, turned my life around completely after years of being stuck in a rut
"the ride" is the 'subjective experience' you have while. hello? word brain think machine? where worky bit go? Your semantic complaint over one's trip being called a 'ride' was totally pointless. I agree with the rest of what you wrote, however. Psychedelic experiences are not divorced from objective reality.
Joe and Neil are both dumbasses
@Will H By " the ride" I'm reffering to the idiots that give psychedelics a bad name, as they often refer to the experience as the ride. From my experience they are the types of people who have it to goof off. ( do what you will, I don't care) I'm just saying there's alot more to it than just thinking " oohh shits getting trippy."
I’m very intrigued as to the “discover your inner self or any spiritual experiences” it seems to me to be an almost uniquely American experience. Anyone i know including myself have had mushrooms and had the best time ever on them but there was nothing spiritual whatsoever about it.
@cian a I'm not American. I actively avoided the use of the word spiritual. You can learn about yourself on them it activates different parts of your brain allowing for new and unique thoughts that DID change my outlook on life. To sum it up. Whenever I do a large dose of mushrooms or dmt I do it alone with no outside disturbances. I feel at peace and am reminded that everything will be okay.
All I know is using psychedelics has actively made me a better person
So you’re not using any agency? Or are you a atheist and don’t believe in that?
You got some serious problems then...
I don't know, all those people that you see at those hippie psychedelic festival/retreats things still seem like shitheads even tho they've done a lot of psychedelics and claim that they've become "better people".
So I don't know how true this whole "psychedelics makes you a better person" thing is
Same my friend, same. I’ve experienced nothing more humbling than dying.
Neil does have a good point. I’ve had ego dissolution that caused these “alternative” realms/realities but I support the idea of it being a completely subjective experience. The best explanation I can offer of my experience is exploring myself in the state of “tabula rasa”.
This is a theoretical approach to the development of the mind in psychology, meaning that a person (when born) has an absolutely clean slate/brain and cannot draw on past experiences.
The best way to imagine this is by taking the perspective and knowledge of a newborn while maintaining the subconscious of your current self. So you may still have access to past memories and perspective, but the effect of ego dissolution cause your control of consciousness to see through your personality to view things as new.
It still does not clearly make sense to even myself, but personally I felt that I had realized I have taken far too many things personally in the past. Without a significant impact on my ego/perception I may have never experienced such an abrupt change in my mentality. It helped me to look back upon my memories and see them from different perspectives.
Psychologically, we are known to form barriers for ourselves to protect ourselves from unpleasant experiences which can cause us to live with a lacking ability to live thinking and acting freely. These substances can serve as an aid in recovery for many different people who suffer from mental illness that can’t quite gain traction when they know they want to change.
In my opinion this can be a very large group of people which may be people who struggle with addiction, past trauma, social disorders, anxiety disorders, negative self-images, and so on.
So to be to the point, this is all subjective information because this is something I am explaining that cannot be proven, and the same thing would not happen for each other person the same way and there is no evidence of this alternative reality being of objective information. It is truly a beautiful experience regardless of the varying emotions I had encountered. It showed me that reality is indeed very specific to who you are and you can in fact change your life with a few tweaks.
P.S.
as I’ve claimed, this is completely subjective and I have not conducted research other than my personal experiences with my own brain chemistry. These substances may be potent and will cause varying effects for different individuals; with this being said, some people may actually have lacking reactions to these substances or on the other hand have extreme reactions that can be traumatizing. This is why it’s absolutely wrong to say these experiences are objective.

I always found it fascinating that fungus have the same skeletal component as insects. Both use the sugar chitin for skeleton. Fungus are the most bizarre life on earth, other than viruses.
Where the fuck did viruses come from?!?! Are they alive or not?!?! just DNA or RNA code yet they evolve so quickly and all that shit!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Yeah every time I bite into a mushroom I go "damn these mushroom bones are so crunchy" 💀 if you think mushrooms have a skeleton you've probably eaten enough of them for a lifetime. Go to therapy and take meds.
So true
@@zBorderPatrol you know insects dont have bones either right and they also have a skeleton?
Bones are just an implementation of an endoskeleton
Theres also cartilaginous endoskeletons, so think sharks, sharks dont have bones, but they have an internal skeleton made of cartilage
all that said, mushrooms dont have skeletons.
Their cell walls are made of chitin same material as insect exoskeletons but a cell wall does not constitute a skeleton (namely the structural frame that maintains an organisms shape)
That said again, in the plant world the cell wall facilitates the role of a skeleton by providing structure to the overall organism (which is why plants didnt develop a dedicated skeleton), so if you squint real hard and look at it sideways you could call it a skeleton, but thats splitting hairs
some dont consider virus' to be a life form. nothing more than a biological version of computer malware. a relatively simple genetic code, designed to hijack and corrupt other genetic code. many other people believe that without virus's, basic mutation variants wouldnt be possible that cause the phenomenon known as evolution.
I dealt with severe anxiety for nearly two years that came out of nowhere and had no source that could be pinpointed outside a head trauma incident that occurred after falling down some stairs. My doctor tried every medication in an attempt to curb the symptoms until one day I found an article about soldiers who were being treated for PTSD by microdosing Psilocybin Mushrooms. With nothing to lose I decided to give it a try with the backing of my doctor and within a month the symptoms were gone and never returned. It was a life changing experience and I likely would be still in that state of anxiety had I never gave mushrooms a chance. I don't recommend it to everyone since my case is an antidote and should not be taken as medical advice but if you do happen to suffer from any kind of mental illness I will say Psilocybin mushrooms might be an avenue worth exploring.
I had an out of body experience. Only i did come back with info. I had a near death experience. I remember a floating feeling. Kinda like i was hovering near the ceiling. But it more like felt like i was everywhere. All points in the building simultaneously. Not just floating above. What was interesting is i felt like i could see the entire building i was in. Including this one locked secured room in that building i had previously not known existed. While this was all going on. Someone was in the room doing some kind of accounting like work. I was able to describe the room. The person. I knew their name from their badge. I saw some of the numbers they had down. I was able to describe many things i should not have been able to. I was right on all of it.
I dont believe in mysticism or souls or any of that. I don't know how to explain it. I see myself as a scientist. So i know. There had to be something more simple and reality bound explanation. But i have no idea what this is. It's something that has always stayed with me.
