In 1993 my wife and I were definitely splitting up, after 14-1/2 years of marriage. I was bummed as all get out. I went into Ralph's Records and Tapes, a great record store near the TTU campus to try to find some music to drown my sorrows. I was thumbing through the CD sections (yeah kids, ask your grandparents what those were!) haha On the store music system they began playing Brassneck, a song you longtime fans of The Wedding Present might have heard :) That song really helped me feel better!
not sure i have ever heard a piece of guitar indie/rock/pop at 3:22-3:47 which is so moving: tear jerking yet triumphant too. loved it in 1989 and love it now...a clear desert island disc!
Seriously...I could have this, House of the Risng Sun (by the Animals), and Whiter Shade of Pale (Procul Harem) on a loop and not go mad. Probably a couple of others too, but i can seriously listen to this over and over and over and over........
This is FANTASTIC thank you for posting, my least favourite David Gedge Wedding Present song ever in all time. I will have to reconsider. Many thanks for posting this. RVSAID
Seen you live twice many years ago but you never played Kennedy! You are the forerunners in any case, and I'm glad you can still play like that. Keep those wrists flapping. xxs
no disrespect to gedge et al, but there's always the mysterious guitar player running down the leads - it wouldn't sound the same without him so why not incorporate him into the band? Dave
Glorious in 1989 and glorious now!

Great story. Sometimes you need those middle finger tunes.
Epic and Essential... The definition of Perfect
I could listen to that outro for hours and hours.

One of my favourite songs of all time. Seen TWP twice in concert, both in London. Brilliant
I love KEXP and the Wedding Present, so this is ace for me.
Thanks for playing our request the other week

Fuckin' love the Weddos - still going strong 25+ years on. Now that's what I call commitment to REAL music. :)
Oh that bass line!!!!
This makes me feel so happy... :)
Saw this at the Minehead weekender - blew me away. Hunted this down..

The Bassist is as cool as fkuc. Drummer... lovin his look of life too📿🎸🎼🥁Guitar rips it all together
that drummer's face is priceless.
He's even more animated now, saw them just before Christmas, still smashing it. Little venue, big sound .
Tight as a drum
Mucho Pie de Manzana!!!!
Life -ah
Dat bass
Danniel Radicliffe que mostrou a banda *-*
epic air drummer...
Who is the bass player?
Terry de caprio :-)
it looks to me that they are "performing" not playing

Dave
To.my untrained ear I quite liked this?
Gedge’s delivery seems almost genteel here compared to the snarl of the Bizzaro version
He doesn't fuck about, you know.
Too much apple Pie!!!!
nice chick on the bass
The 2nd guitarist ruined it.
