its a bunch of jpg pictures with a bad galaxy background and bad 3d models of stations. This games dying off. its now a money making scheme for impatient pay to win players with money.

You can criticize almost any aspect of EVE except the visuals. The art team has consistently knocked it out of the park for two decades.

the game looks great unfortunately the original devs sold out to a company that is killing the game and milking the loyal player base while they kill it.
I just want something like eve with first person controls.. Kinda sad theyre the only kid in town when it comes to these types of epic space sandbox games.
@@ThatPianoNoob Have you not kept yourself up to date with Star Citizen? It's been getting improved a lot and is starting to shape up into the game the devs originally said it would be.

Yea it's now $20 a month subscription right? No game worth $20 a month to play. Servers are not that expensive to run.

They already added the option to play for free, and you have always (or at least for a long time) been able to buy PLEX with ISK.
I'd say that is a lot more fair than what other sub-based games do.
@@AdumbrationOfAnAlias subscription based games are a poor business model, period. There aren’t many games that employ one and for good reason. You can’t actually play the game with a free account not really. EvE would be a much better game if it employed the strategies of other games for producing capital. League of Legends is completely free, there is nothing you aren’t able to do with a free account. They aren’t short of money either and they host gigantic tournaments with hefty prizes.
EvE makes game loops to punish free to play players. Activities to plex thousand hour excursions for a month subscription. Take all of those game play loops away and what is left? Not much, the game suffers because of this model. Not only does it piss off the players (eventually) but it lacks meaningful content as a result.
There is a reason why people are salty, and I fully understand if you look at what happened the past 3 years. Nevertheless the visuals are stunning and amazing yes. Nobody will ever say no to more and better eye candy. I realy do hope that CCP is also going to work hard on the stuff that many EvE players want and have been waiting for, for a long time : a healthier economy, better/improved game systems/mechanics and of course more ships. Do realise that many so called 'haters' and 'salty' players are long time players that love the game to bits and don't want to see the game fail. Ty for all the good work CCP, and please focus on the above mentioned aspects too.
There are 359 flyable ships already. I'm sure we're good at least on this front. :)

After almost 10 years since mentioning, ccp finally implemented dynamic lod and 2k textures
no 2K textures (except for the nebula), just better compression (unpacked)
Not to mention, the prettiest cat ears in the universe! ;)
As a newer player I love eve. I dont know what happened in the past but Im having a blast right now. These visiuals are stunning!
It is still an amazing game for sure, but it used to be so much more fun to play before the devs started making tons of game breaking changes.

@@bsos6839 it’s not ccp devs fault. The company was acquired by pearl abyss which is just a greed crazed Korean gaming company. Their other games are trash cash grabs and they’re doing the same to eve.

Eve Online almost had me hook line and sinker when there was talk that you would be able to walk through the door in Captain Quarters and walk around the station. Sadly that day never came.

Eve will soon be 20 year old, and even if it dies tomorrow, it would have been a tremendous gaming experience.
It is undoubtably one of the best MMOs ever made, and it lasted so long that it is difficult to comprehend.
We should be grateful that the game is still around for us to enjoy, because nothing lasts forever,
This looks great. I haven't played in 5+ years and still miss it. Timezones + life commitments are reality. But I recall x86 v x64 being a thing... is that still the case? Do big space battles still occur?

It lasted this long, I think, because for whatever reason there have been very few attempts to compete for the “merciless sandbox MMO” niche which offer the amount of freedom that EVE allows its players. Love it or hate it, there’s simply nothing quite like it out there.

Its not even close to dying. People have been saying eve is dying for years. Its just something people say when they mald about how their old playstyle meta got patched to oblivion
Been playing since '05 and am constantly impressed by the improvements over the years. No game is perfect, and not every addition was worthwhile, but few have kept my attention, raised my blood pressure (for better or for worse), and continually roped me back in.
Okay, I was just talking in a video about how great the changes to asteroids you all made.....AND you have upgraded the missions' graphics.....love it. Can't wait to see the changes, thank you very much.
It specifically said career mission agents, i wonder if that is only the 10 or so you get on a new character?
@@J0shuaGam3r carrer agents where the 45 missions that gave you free ships, mods and some other stuff and you could just head to another carrer agent system even as a 10 year old veteran and run those carrer agents
@@Groza_Dallocort that's a bit of a shame to hype up and fix the missions only new players interact with. Existing pve across the board is extremely lack luster.
@@J0shuaGam3r Old players can also interact with this and we are getting points as we speak heck buy a blueprint run missions do ratting and the rest of activities you can do in the game all count towards that 750k skill points that you can get from the new AIR Carrer Program

they'll go into the missions too (from what i've talked with the devs), but they will most likely focus on FW, heraldry and other changes announced at fanfest first.
Nice to see missions get some attention. They look great now, on par with Abyssal Deadspace. Hoping to see missions get a content update sometime in the future as well!
The continuing grind to maintain fidelity for this game with always deserve kudos!

Can totally tell the difference, I am loving it!
Even the reflection update is working better with this update. everything is more pronounced and more vivid. Also for some reason, reading the text seems easier on the eyes. A great update!
Does the texture improvements for ships include rectifying areas where they don't line up correctly? (The rear top of the Merlin and the Condor for example have some tearing, especially noticable with certain skins; and the Punisher still has lopsided bridge windows!!!)

I recently made a new character and went through the new starting experience and was blown away. The game looks better than ever!
starting experience is the best, after that you ask yourself, wtf did i play this for that long for....
I left the game since 2013 and I can confirm the visuals are mind blowing. They were mind blowing for what they were back then but now it’s incredible. I’ve always loved amarr ships and if you look at them now they look like they have solid gold plating. It’s crazy.

New player here, so I aint seen shit yet, but I was just impressed with how many moving parts and animations the Rifter has.
One thing I really want for this game(which may not be possible because of people abusing their online powers to make inappropriate or just outright bad stuff) Is creating your own custom ship designs( yes I do understand the complexity needed, seeing as you would need close to an outright 3d modeling program)
You can somewhat do that with T3 cruisers

about time that the missions and the "world" gets a update, at times it realy looked dated next to the newer contend like the abyss.
Still looking for the character I created in Incarna to have an actual, you know, MEANING.
When that day comes and I can actually use my LEGS to walk around ships, stations and planets, maybe I´ll give this game another look.

Afternoon everyone I don't really post like but would like to say that's looking amazing and they have done amazing job on the graphics. Think there's a frew things could do with a frew a justments but we'll done CCP and the other team's involved

I watch this and it's beautiful. It's also great that initial experience and career agent mission were reworked. The only thing that's keeping me from playing a game that I still love is: how much time till you pull another thing like the Dr.Who event and destroy my suspension of disbelief once again? I love the game but I lost trust into it when the company was bought. Still, i tried it again because i love it and all was good till the Dr. Who event.

Yes. The game is gorgeous and keeps getting prettier but there seems to be a hyper focus on what it looks like rather than the stale gameplay atm.

I stopped playing EVE a while back because of just how much time it takes to be relevant, and I don't have that much time to pour into one thing
The new art looks great though. Maybe once the EVE Evolved updates get out I might try to pick up the game again, but for now I'll keep an eye out

@@IconaPX Sure. If your earliest experiences in EVE come from 2017, then this is probably something you would miss. But shit like this was part of the decline of the game and more like meta and not niche gameplay.

All icons for all items are long overdue for visual updates. I’ve been playing for 12 years and I wonder why of all the changes, item icons are still the same.

well done it is better i think new players will stay as that the key - but i think give new players a bubble type so they cant die eg last bars of red they are sent to there home station to recover but after 30 days it open again -

I'm glad they made the game pretty and all, but that's not why I left it. Unfortunately for all the work it takes to emulate this kind of stuff (this is truly good-looking graphics guys.) At the end of the day if the gameplay is boring/off that's what's going to kill it for someone. I've never heard anyone say hey, it's broken as shit and kinda dull but look at those rendered asteroids!

Level 5 missions exist in lowsec that some people run in carriers but what use would capitals make in highsec?

I was in Eve since 2006. Played 14 years in this environment. I do not play anymore. Graphic is really nice, but graphic is only one aspect. I should invest more on "bumping" aspects, pvp harassment on every single inch, everything you do you must be on full alert, and some other little things that make this game really fuc...ed. Even chat is sick. Went to Genshin Impact, totally different. Happy. End of line.
Its a PvP game, the "harassment" as you call it is part of the gameplay design, this isn't WoW in space
Next up - mayby they will fix anything at all related to gameplay....
but amazing work by the art team atleast they are doing a great job
next big updates will focus on that part. FW should be the big one alongside the heraldry stuff.

@@beidorion the current arc supposedly leads into FW. this could mean two things:
1. we get in a few months in the fall expansion
2. we get it in a year, sometime between the fall expansion and the next fanfest.
CCP knows they have to release it sooner than later.

Point and click aspect of the game killed it for me
You can always fly your ship with the WASD keys but you still need to hit warp by clicking on the station or whatever in the selected items or find it in space to actually warp to it

Now while updating the graphics is cool and all, thats not going to be enough to prevent the current player losses, we both know it, when are you going to address the actual issues the players have instead of trying to hide them under a bandaid of pretty new visuals?
Only thing is skill time I play a month got to t4 missions but never fly one couse comp says better is if you had t2 on a hypiron to do t4 missions save so I lost the fun now I'm omega didn't play 2 weeks to wait the skills I mean itsk the part of eve but for new players it's like you can be good as you want but you never can't compare to player 2y+ I mean at the same player skill couse he have more time and skills... Let the old players get skills P back but reduce the time of skill couse it is de motivating if you know i need to wait 30+ to be able to do something good...
