Michael was actually a vampire/Lycan hybrid, which is why he was so strong and fast. But he wasn’t used to his new form, it’s part of the reason why when he was in the process of transforming into a lycan, right after the physical appearance turned into a lycan, his physical appearance reverted back to more human like appearance (the vampire side) but with bluer/blacker skin with claws and black eyes (the lycan side) and I’ve always loved that concept
I always loved how she jumps off of a building. The little bounce she makes when her feet land looks very unique.

Lucian is the original werewolf able to change between man and wolf form, he isn't a vampire in the slightest. It said older werewolves could change at will without the aid of the moon, so it makes sense the very first true werewolf doesn't even need to make the full change to wolf form to turn a human into a werewolf.
Also Michael was just a human before being bitten, but that lore is deeper explained in the next movie.
Lycan, Lucian was a Lycan. The other brother, Marcus' brother is werewolf. He can't change in between forms. He's always in werewolf form.
I have no ideia why he thought Lucian was a vampire throughout the entire movie. And even after they showed him transforming into his werewolf form, he thought he was some kind of vampire/lycan hybrid. Maybe it's because of the scene where he bites Michael and shows some fangs?
Maybe, even though I think it was explained he was a lycan.
he was not really paying attention considering that at this time ( 27:11 ) he thought Selene was telling Michael to kill himself when she just told him to use the bullet to prevent the transformation 🤷🏻♂️
Recommend checking out Van Helsing too … starring Hugh Jackman & Kate Beckinsale….that’s another great werewolf vampire film…

Craven got away lucky when he slapped Selene.....she is a Death Dealer which means that if she chose to she could have ripped him a new one any time she wanted.
"I wonder how old she is?" About 300 which is young in vampire years.
I love that in the end of the movie Selene and Michael became Sonjas and Luciens successors and actually made a hybrid with Michael! I love the first and second the most and damn I hate Kraven so much but the actor played an entitled brat very well. Hope you continue!
The last one was excellent too but I wish they didn't write off Michael.
Shane Brolly who plays Kraven is a classically trained actor from Belfast,Ireland.The mostly British and Canadian cast tested with a number of accents:The Hungarian since that was their characters` nationality, their native accents and their native accents mixed with the drawled intonation of a Midwestern preacher, the latter won out with test audiences!
@@MoMoMyPup10 Unfortunately, Scott Speedman decided to move on from Hollywood after "XxX:State of the Union" bombed so badly and the writers couldn`t find a way to make the recasting less obvious without killing off the character early on.
That's the only thing they shouldn't off done was write off Michael. His character was so interesting.

Kate was married to the director of the first couple of movies and she was with Michael Sheen who played Lucian before that and he’s the father of her daughter.

As a fan of the original trilogy of the Underworld series I was seething watching this 😂
Lucian is the original Lycan.
Micheal was a human with a genetic marker from the first immortal, his ancestor and he only changed after Lucian bit him (making him a Lycan) then Selene bit him (making him a Hybrid).
Markus at the end had the Lycan scientist blood in his mouth, making him a hybrid too.
The movie also had some controversy around the scene where Raze (a Lycan ex slave) was being whipped by Soren (a vampire ex slave owner).

I love Underworld (2003). It was something new, fresh, unique, inventive, stylish, cool, edgy, hip, and updated as they took the whole " Romeo and Juliet" and "Forbidden Love" concept and theme to a another level as it was just absolutely and positivity constructed perfectly from the very beginning to the end. The story, performance's, music, action sequences, special effects, and cinematography was amazing and wonderful. Kate Beckinsale and Scott Speedman did a phenomenal and spectacular job portraying Selene and Michael Corvin as they both put tons of emotion and depth into their roles. It was decent. To this day I still watch it and I consider it a classic. It never gets old.😍😎💯👍

04:35. They do have super speed, but it isn't apparent when Lycans and vampires fight each other. There are only two scenes in the entire franchise (prior to Blood Wars) when Selene exhibits super speed and in both instances she is fighting normal humans. This is very consistent but the movies don't slow down and hold the viewers hand to explain it.
If you have not seen Blade it`s a great watch. Probably my favorite vampire action movie`s.

This is one of my favorite series, you're like the first person I've seen react to it. Also, forget Twilight. It's one if the worst examples of vampires and werewolves ever. The Lost Boys, Van Helsing, Blade, Bram Stoker's Dracula, An American Werewolf in London, The Howling, Silver Bullet, Dog Soldiers... all are worth looking into.
Yeah and I don't know why that is - many seem to like these kinds of dark movies. I've tried a few times but unless you're on Patreon you don't have much of a say.

Vampire Movies:
Interview With the Vampire (IWtV) with Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise is great. Queen of the Damned is another one, which is supposed to be like a follow-up, in a way, of IWtV but with rock music as part of its focus. Dracula 2000 with Gerard Butler is also good. And an unpopular opinion, Abe Lincoln: Vampire Hunter was actually quite enjoyable.
Werewolf Movies:
An American Werewolf and An American Werewolf in Paris are alright. You need to check out Dog Soldiers for sure though. Cult classic in our house.

Tbh, the franchise isn’t bad but the movies could’ve had better execution. Rise of the lycans is my favourite one as the execution, the storyline and everything made so much sense and it was so good. First movie was ok but the second, was awful as it was based at the same time frame of the first movie which Michael had not been a hybrid for long but he managed to kill William which is so ridiculous considering he was killing everyone fine but he couldn’t kill an inexperienced hybrid. 😂 Last two were the worst as the lycans appearances were changed and the whole genetic mutation etc in them was just awful, which is a shame because Selena’s daughter was a good idea.
I just recently did an Underworld binge myself, now I'm just going around CZcams for any extra Underworld content I can find 😂 but Rise Of The Lycans is my favorite by far. This is silver for me though. Solid film and franchise.

Lucian is the Lycans (Werewolf) leader. Kraven supposedly killed him hundreds of years ago....but actually he did not. He made a deal with Lucian. I don't kill you and you help me become the Head Vampire. Oh and Victor isn't dead. The chief vampires take turns leading the Vampires....one takes a couple of centuries nap and the other runs things.

Interview With a Vampire should be used as the basis of "the vampire". Def shouldnt be Twilight. Everything is secondary to Anne Rice R.I.P.

Being Human UK is the best Vampire/Werewolf on screen version (closed to the original mythology of both monsters and great exhaustion of the story).
I love these movies. The guy who wrote them Raz he plays Lucian friend in man guy in the movies. Well went to school for chemistry and Micro Biology. So the reasoning behind how vampires became and lycans became is really smart and makes sense.

30 Days of Night is dark and brutal it's aesthetically pleasing beautiful vibe with music too
If you want to see a hella cool vampire film, that is so unlike every other modern one.... check out "Shadow Of The Vampire" with Willem Dafoe
-Vampires and Lycans (werevolves) have great physical abilities (strenght, dexterity, speed, resistance, self healing). They have fighting skills thank to decades and centuries of training. In my opinion, without weapons, a lycan is better than a vampire, but if you give weapons to them, the vampire will win.
-However there's some edit scenes. In the Lucian memories we see her girlfriend die but they changed the actress. Its another actress taken from another movie. I dont know why but its not the original scene....
-The whips of that vampire (Soren) are made with silver. His opponent (Raze) was one of the strongest lycans, that was killed by Viktor
-Viktor versus Michael, one of the best fights of the franchise. In my opinion Michael is more powerful than Viktor, but he was new to his abilities and he needed to eat, so he was "weak" here
-Concerning Vacancy movie, there is also the prequel
also, only one vampire can use their true form... so, it's a bit unfair to compare the two species physically, as every vampire is stuck in their human forms, except for one...

The blonde actress in the flashback couldn’t come back for the third movie as she was pregnant so they had a different actress instead who I think Selene resembles a lot more and of course hybrids would be stronger as well. That’s why Victor also wanted Sonja to die because their child would have been the strongest out of everyone but Michael would’ve been stronger than that hybrid because he’s related to Corvinus. I still think it would have been hard to kill Victor as he is an elder and was a part of of an army.

My favourite is the first. It has an elaborate plot, more than the others movies
The plot was good but Victor being awoken that early considering how bad he looked, should’ve been executed better. There’s no way he should’ve been able to be that strong that quickly, the third one was the best when it came to plot as it fully explains the war and how Selene stayed alive etc.

vampires: only one can change into their true form, all others are stuck in their human form
werewolves: they have no human form, they're always in werewolf form, much more powerful than the lycans // (there's NO werewolves in Underworld 1, just lycans, but you'll see the werewolves in underworld 2)
humans: self-explanatory, lol
lycans: able to change into human form and back into werewolf form (night/day), but lucian was the first to learn to do so at will (at any time, not restricted by night/day), viktor created the lycans, they're different from the real werewolves, using the lycans as "guard dogs" during the day, against the humans and the werewolves
the hybrid (vampire+lycan) (michael corvis = human with corvinis strain/lineage/dna -> lycan -> vampire+lycan)

death dealers: the warrior class of the vampires, created/set-up by viktor, whereas, most of the other ones (like craven) are the "politicians"/etc, viktor was the #1 death dealer, selene was the #2 death dealer (before selene, sonya was #2 death dealer)

For a show series to watch on vampires, you should react to "The Vampire Diaries" and it's spin-off show "The Originals", you would love the character Klaus, the vampire diaries is more teen young adult-ish, but I always felt like The Originals was the more adult version of the show, Klaus is a bad-ass, all I can say is you would be intrigued by him, IMO. He is introduced in vampire diaries, but the originals is all about him and his family. The producers actually made the spin off bc of the fans reaction to the character, he became everyone's favorite villain.
I love u, Perry. U always pick the best movies to watch, man! I adore the Underworld series. Ur gonna dig it, too. The only odd movie I can think of right now to suggest is the Replacements. It’s a sports movie but it’s w/Keanu - how bad could it be?! (Hint: it’s fabulous & u’ll laugh ur ass off😉)

Heres a television series about vampires that is dark like this one. Its not Buffy the Vampire Slayer which came out in 1997. I was introduced to Vampires by the television series Forever Knight 1992. Non spoiler but it's about a vampire detective that's all I will say. Its a vampire show for adults and since you brought up Twilight. To quote a line from Nick Knight the main character in Forever Knight. I don't durn I don't tan in sunlight I implode that's what vampires should do that's implode in sunlight. So I was introduced to Vampires by actual vampires not no teenage type things like in Buffy.

A good fun werewolf movie u might like is werewolves within. Not scary but overall a good movie.

One reason I don't like learning the names of actors is so I don't go off on tangents trying to remember who these people are from. Takes away from the movie immersion for me. I'll never understand why people put so much into celebrities.
