I remember watching this in the cinema. When Brad goes shirtless, ~200 women in the audience sighed loudly in sync and it was hilarious. Never experienced it again since that day. 😆
its his face really.
I remember 200 women screaming in horror when those cars played ping pong with him 😂
One of the best car crashes over a body in a movie. In the theater the women were disappointed when Pitt was run over. Good work
Recuerdo el olor que había estaban como loquitas
Hey, his smile is enough. Him shirtless is just a bonus
I love the two scenes with the Jamaican lady, played by veteran stage and screen actress Lois Kelly-Miller. A household name in Jamaica throughout her decades-long career, she was born Oct. 15, 1917, and passed away April 8, 2020. Such a lovely lady! And her death scene was so poignant, brilliantly played, almost as if you could see her face _deflate_ somehow, as the life left it. I first thought there had to be special effects involved, slowing the film or morphing the shot into a still capture perhaps. But, it was simply the unquestionable talent of the lady. Brava!
My favorite scene is when Anthony Hopkins stares death in the face at the end, before they walk over the hill. Death stares back at him, but looks away, first. So beautiful...
She understood who Joe was at the end when they were saying goodbye. She just wasn't willing to say it out loud because she was afraid. And yes, I think she also knew that he was there for her father, which you hear at the very end when she tells the guy "I wish you could have known my father." I think she ran after them probably to hope to save her father and to try to keep joe with her.
The actress playing the Jamaican old woman passed away, and Brad Pitt was there at her funeral.
"They killed Brad Pitt!" needs to be made into a 'short' 😂 😂 😂
I said the same thing when I saw this movie for the first time! I was with my mom, "Mom, they can't just kill off Brad Pitt! Come back!" My mom just laughed and said, "We'll see, honey."
They killed Brad Pitt!
You bastards!
I've watched this film many times. It's one you can never get tired of. Lovely. I'm glad you all liked it as much as I do.
I just watched this movie and by the time I croak........Lord knows how many times I will see it.
What a brilliant movie. I just can’t understand I missed it back in 1998. Some 25 years ago. Acting, plot, music. Everything brings tears into my eyes, and specifically that gorgeous looking woman, Claire Forlani , playing Susan. One of the most underrated films of all time.
16:47 he didn’t took her life nor her pain. He showed her a glimpse of what was coming (“soon”). That helped her, brought her some relief, and is not far from what many testimonials have said about people getting close to death.
He told her no many times but she begged him, so he made it so she would die soon. When he stares into her eyes he is making it so that she will die, he just makes it not right away so she can prepare & have a little more time with her loved ones. But he says 'soon' because he judt MADE IT be soon. He doesnt kill her on the spot, but he makes her death come early.
Death isn’t evil, he just is. It’s inevitable but not evil.
Evil spelled backwards is Live. ;-)
Good and evil are human concepts. They don't apply as soon as there is no human is around judge one way or the other.
@@donaldduncan7095 That doesn't prove anything 😂😂😂
This is my favorite romantic movie! My fav scene (not shown in the reaction) was the other sister saying to her father, "I know I was not your favorite... but you were mine." Love, love love that scene.
thats a really underappreciated scene, i agree that it was the best, because it felt unbelievably real. The other one I loved was when Sir Hopkins talked about his late wife to Joe and got teary eyed. That was a brief, moving scene also.
This movie plays with our emotions like no other. And at the end we are all inspired....the acting, the script, the directing, the cinematography and the music are really well used in this movie
The noise Michelle made at 20:40 had me cracking up lol Brad had her in a trance 😂. Also at the end Susan did know who he was. When he stared into her eyes it goes back to the old adage “staring death in the eyes/face.” That’s why she quivered when she said “you’re Joe.” But she also realized she’d fallen in love with death but wanted to know the feeling was mutual which is why she wanted him to tell her he loved her and why he said “thank you for loving me.”
Most people fail to realize that, thank you for pointing it ou.
Susan knew when she 'really' stopped to look at him.... as she is a doctor and thus has seen him ...not directly.. but still.. many many times
Anthony Hopkins stares death in the face at the end. Death stares back at him, but looks away, first. So beautiful...
It's one of my favorite story plots. Death got to have a taste of life and love, realized how beautiful it was and what he was taking away from peple. He didn't want to leave it behind or what he came to love, so he too kinda died in his own way. Brilliant story.
Your next Brad Pitt and Anthony Hopkins movie... "Legends of The Fall". You guys will love it.
Yes, LEGENDS of the FALL…I haven’t seen it for many years but it left a AMAZING impression. 💁🏻♀️🤍👏🏽
Thank you. I will watch Legends of The Fall right away. Was just blown away by this movie!
Glad more and more CZcamsrs are finally reacting to this iconic movie. 👍
Yes finally 😂! It's been a long time since, from time to time, I exposed myself in the comments to recommend this movie... and now here you are with your wonderful reaction. I don't want to go into too much detail, just that this movie is one of my all time favorites. It hasn't won major prizes, it's not one of the best known... but it certainly does tell a story with great themes and great delicacy. Every time I see it I laugh and cry, I am moved by the beautiful soundtrack and the great performances of its actors. I hope who has entered your heart as much as me (and many others) 😊. Glad you saw it and shared it with us 🤗.
THANK YOU FOR REACTING TO THIS!!! This is one of my all time favorite movies.
As you all like Brad Pitt so much, I recommend "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button", an amazing story about a man who was born old and grows younger and younger every day. Co-starring Cate Blanchett. Be sure to have your tissues nearby!
Yes! I can't wait for that one.
Yeeeeeehhhhss
Yes! I'm surprised that there are very few videos about it. Definitely worth watching. In my opinion, it has the same features as Forrest Gump. If you like that, you'll definitely like The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
@@SoorM .... Benjamin Button had some similarities with Forrest Gump, but the story was much more intimate, IMO.
Forrest Gump was a social & historical commentary as well as a personal love story. Benjamin Button was primarily the story of Benjamin, his life and his loves - especially Daisy.
UP!!!!
Another great Brad Pitt and Anthony Hopkins movie you might enjoy is "Legends of the fall".
This to me is one of Brad’s most underrated performances. He does so many subtle things in his performance.
This is a remake of the 1934 movie, Death Takes a Holiday." As I remember, in that film, it gets pretty grim, when people can't die while he is on vacation.
Yup. There’s a line you don’t cross with a guy’s daughter and Joe just crossed it. I’ve noticed that’s the point of contention between Joe and bill. It’s not that Susan fell in love. It’s that she fell for someone who didn’t know the first thing about what it meant to truly love someone
This is absolutely one of my ALL TIME favorite movie's ever. Brad Pitt really shows his skills here and Anthony Hopkins is exceptional as ever. I can't tell you how many times I've watched this, and it still manages to bring tears to my eyes. Such a beautiful piece of film. They just don't make them like this much anymore.
Me, too! I watch it at least once a year and now I'm even watching reactions! lol Literally in my top movies of all time!. I love the business parts as well as the romance. It's a perfect combination of everything!
I still think the best Brad Pitt-Anthony Hopkins hookup is "Legends of the Fall" but this one was very well done, too.
When death is on holiday , no one can die.
The other beautiful addition is that in the end, Anthony Hopkins is approaching death with dignity and understanding; not the other way around.
5.53. 'Two cars crashed him ' I love the Englarian phrases that only you put in your commentary. Brilliant.
Always love the accident scene reactions. The soundtrack to this movie is also quite remarkable. Good movie overall.
This is a remake of the 1934 film "Death Takes a Holiday", starring Fredric March. You should also watch this.
My favourite scene, was when she realized who he was.. but never said it. The entire build up to it was awesome.. I love watching that. It's got most (if not all) emotions attached to it. Even the dialogue.. whooh.. Great Movie.
I remember that my mom played that movie every time we had family or friends visitors, there were so many times that I remember the dialogues by heart.
"Well... death will meet her one day" was brutal lmafoooooooo
A loose remake of a 1934 movie called "Death Takes a Holiday" starring Fredric March which itself was based on the Broadway play of the same name
This is actually a remake of an old movie called Death Takes A Holiday...Its about Death wanting to live a normal life but realizing he cant
I love this movie. All actors do a phenomenal job.
I said the same thing when I saw this movie for the first time! I was with my mom, "Mom, they can't just kill off Brad Pitt! Come back!" My mom just laughed and said, "We'll see, honey." 😆
Next year, it will be 4 years since my dad passed away. So this movie always makes me cry. He passed away of a heart attack in the middle of the night. My older sister called me at midnight to tell me she tried so hard to save him, but couldn't.
The fact that he says that he is from the IRS (in charge of collecting taxes) is a joke, and it also fits the plot, which refers to the famous phrase attributed to Benjamin Franklin, among others, although it may be earlier "In this world , nothing is certain except death and taxes.” Two things that cannot be avoided.
Fun and entertaining watching this with you girls. This was Pitt’s best work playing two characters in one film. The dumb character in the coffee shop was a simple guy that Susan fell interested in. Susan ended up falling in love with Pitt’s character death. They played this out well and Pitt developed his character death incredibly. This also had some comedic lines. There are entertaining storylines and development in characters. Pitt well done .
con 29 años, Es mi película favorita, la habré visto unas 8 o 9 veces, y cada vez que la veo es como la primera vez, siempre me emociona, cada parte de la película esta hecha de forma perfecta. y la seguiré viendo siempre.
You’re ALL so AWESOME…I appreciate your heartfelt reaction. I also felt this was one ☝🏽 of BRAD PITT’s BEST MOVIES 🎥🙇🏻♀️❤️🥰. Thank you BEAUTIFUL LADIES for watching this and making positive comments. Merry Christmas 🎄🤍🕊👏🏽 2022’.
Wonderful reaction ladies!! One of my favorite movies (and soundtracks)! Viki, you have such a soft heart! ♥ Another romantic movie that you'll all love is "The Lake House" (starring Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock). One bit of feedback for future videos ... the sound levels of the film were too low relative to your voices. If the volume was turned up loud enough for the dialogue of the film to be heard, your voices were WAY too loud. If the volume was turned down enough for the three of you to not be shouting, the film could barely be heard. Please tell whoever mixes your videos in the future to match the sounds levels more closely. Thanks! Great reaction though!
If you enjoyed Pitt in this drama I would highly recommend a film of his called A River Runs Through It.
Truly fantastic acting and a wonderful story.
This is the point of contention for Bill and Joe here. Bill isn’t gonna care that this guy here is sexy grim reaper here. There’s a line you don’t cross with him: his daughter. It’s clear Joe wants to cross that line. The issue isn’t that Susan is in love, it’s that she’s in love with someone who doesn’t know what it’s like to truly love someone and that’s where bill is drawing the line in the sand
16:31 Death was showing her Heaven, giving her many pictures to remember till her time is ready.
so glad more reactors are starting to do this movie. I adore this movie
16:45 he showed her that she would not be in pain after her death that's why she looked reassured
I just realized now that most of my favourite movies are with Brad Pitt starring there. Meet Joe Black, Troy, Glorious Bastards, Snatch...
Brad's acting is always amazing.
Seven,fight club…
Ihr seid so unterschiedlich beim zuschauen der Filme. Jede von euch ist wundervoll auf ihre eigene Art und Weise. Ihr seid mitfühlend, gefühlvoll und emotional. Es macht Freude euch zuzuschauen. Weiter so!!!
One of my favorites. Thanks for brightening my day.
Someone suggested Benjamin Button which was great, my Brad Pitt suggestion is Interview with a Vampire. Can i also suggest Gremlins (Christmas movie), Goonies, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Stand by Me. Thanks and I enjoy your reactions🤩👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Hey ladies, if you haven't watched it already you should watch Legends of the Fall which also has Brad Pitt and Anthony Hopkins. Great movie just get the tissues ready 🙂
Yup, "Legends Of The Fall" 👍👍😊😊😊
Another great underrated film with Brad Pitt and Anthony Hopkins I recommend is Legends of the fall.
I love how they just walk off together to go back to the party while the dad is laying dead in the bushes somewhere over that bridge 😅
Susan was hungry for something but it wasn’t food😂 looking for her bite of Joe
What a lot of younger viewers don't seem to realize is that this is actually a remake of "Death Takes A Holiday". An old black-and-white movie in which Death decides to live with a mortal to better understand why people seem to be so afraid of him. It's been a while since I last watched it, so I don't remember how well it stands the test of time. I do remember that "Meet Joe Black" is better.
I love this film. So glad you girls chose to watch it!!
"They killed Brad Pitt!" - so funny
This film is highly underrated
When Joe put his hands on the old lady & she smiled it's because he gave her a glimpse into the next place.
Meanwhile, Bill Parrish lies dead on the other side of that bridge as they walk away!
It is an awesome movie with a great supporting cast and many excellent moments up to the final reveal - to me it showcased what an absolutely excellent actor Brad Pitt is!
I remember seeing this movie back in 98 when I was a lil kid. Since then it always stuck with me. Good movie. Always enjoyed seeing it again.
That SMILE! I can’t take that smile. SWOON
I think that this was joe’s way of showing his love for Susan in a way that was selfless by returning the man she had that meet cute with at the coffee shop.
Loved you reactions. One of my favorite movies. ❤
What I want to know is why didn't the family go looking for the dad when he disappeared..There's a body on the grounds somewhere.
I really love this channel. You all crack me up.
Meet Joe Black is one of the finest examples of subtle acting that I have ever personally seen... the way the actors and actresses handle their roles, their nuance and delivery - it's briilliant. One of those things when you can view it years later and find something new.
I think I spent more time with my eyes on Michelle than I did the film. Totally in love with her. Great reaction to a great film ladies. And now I’m on my way to Bulgaria.🛫😍
Great reactions ladies... awesome movie.. the ending was superb...saw this in theater... I was in loved with Claire F....hi Vicki 😍
"They killed Brad Pitt!" - What an honest and inevitable reaction))
Great incredible movie, anyway.👍
He's only ever good in movies that he dies violently in.
i loled real hard with Lia haha
No Ellie? :(
She would cry her heart out at this one.
OMG! That smile! I can’t take that incredible smile!
Ladies this movie is an updated version of the original 1934 film Death Takes a Holiday which was later remade in 1971 film of the same name
This is the only movie iv ever watched where I didn't take my eyes of it
Viki makes this channel with her gorgeous self and she brings so much insight and fun in this film. Love her ❤ I love her character figures out Joe and love Joe Black returns as himself.
If you would like to see another one of Brad Pitts best performances, you should watch "Legends Of The Fall" ... Not only a spectacular movie, but Brad Pitt is awesome in this one
This is my favorite movie of all time.
You Homies are so adorable. Your reactions so kindly emotional. Sometimes prematurely judging but in the moment very true.
Love the European and other jargon....so honest.
My only contribution to your great clip and this wonderful movie, albeit macabre... her face acting, quite specifically, is beyond remarkable. She speaks a thousand words in one single curl of a top lip..truly remarkable and as it is written maybe very true.
Wonderful movie.
This movie floored me, as one of the best casting jobs I have seen!!
Three beautiful ladies reviewing one of my favorite movies. :-) Happy Monday!
I,ve watched this 20x already .
I've never seen Michelle like she did in 33:55. It made her beauty shine in an incredibly beautiful way. 😍 Oh btw the movie is really awesome too 😅
Such an underrated movie! Great reaction!
i have very very few favorite romantic movies.. and this movie is one of them. the best of them all.
34.00 Vickie had to go first, she dragged Michelle down a few seconds later. Livia pretty stoic has to be said.
Seeing the old girl trying to talk him down whilst dying is very emotional. A nice moment.
This scene invented the meet cute. I’m fully convinced of that
Since you love Brad Pitt as many of us do, you have got to do the movie Legends of the Fall.
This movie is a MASTERPIECE. Martin Brest's best film....and he directed Gigli! lol
12:18 watch "burn after reading" brad Pitt was a scream in that movie.
You girls made viewing this movie a blast!
Watch Brad Pitt in the classic movie 'Legends of the Fall' ladies. You will thank me later, as it will TRIPLE your love for him. Also, the father in this movie (Bill Parrish) play his father in that movie.
All of you might like the movie, "Somewhere In Time" with Christopher Reeve.....
Michelle, I can’t believe how much you’ve changed since the first movie you and Ellie watched . These movies …Something happened to you , and I’m not just talking about the swooning over Brad , Lol . cant explain it in a few words. Used to like being tough now your emotions are closer to the surface I see the real you and I thought fucked I’m hooked !❤
Anyway, to me, the point of the movie is…don’t let that moment in the coffee shop pass you by !! Seize it
I kinda like Brad Pitt only in a few movies. This is one of them.
The other ones are:
Se7en
12 Monkeys
Interview with the Vampire
I didn't used to think Brad Pitt was a good actor til I saw "12 Monkeys" and "interview with a vampire". He did not ad lib anything in 12 "Monkeys".. He memorized it all from the script. ...which was amazing.
You’re right, just fill it with love and let God take care of the rest.❤️
Viki had a great reaction, thanks for that. 😀
Thelma & Louise is Brad’s first movie and he’s incredible in it. It’s also a classic amazing film
