It is worse in VR. One of the things that doesn't come across that well is the size of the characters. On video, they look a little big but are bigger in VR.
This task scared me just as much because it feels so tense.
I think Ash needs a round of applause for following MatPat with the mic that well for THAT long. True dedication.

Are you correcting me? Names are proper nouns, so I was using "Ash's" as a possessive form, just like I would say "Solynn go by she/them, and Solynn's fave pizza is pepperoni".
I was just trying to bring up Ash's pronouns since they were called "she" by the other commenter. I have no superiority or holier-than-thou, snarky intentions at all.

Sun and Moon quickly became fan favorites so I’m not surprised that they’re so prominently featured in this game, and honestly I think it’s great. It’s good to see them out and about being as creepy as we had originally hoped for Security Breach.
i agree. my only issue is, if they got to be featured so much, why not Monty? he is prolly the most hated fnaf character, which makes him just as popular as them. i’m sure everyone wanted to see a game with Monty that would reveal his personality more outside of the virus, and maybe his background story too. this isn’t me taking it out on you btw, just wanted to say it loll

@@davisrangerthe timer confused DanTDM as well, making him think there's less time than there is. He also had trouble with the controls. I'm noticing a lot of similarities between their videos and it's cool bc it shows what the game needs to improve before it's full release

@@davisrangerto be fair his timer went off really quickly in his first try, so naturally he panicked the second even tho he didn't trigger it that time. Also the timer is very quick sounding from the beginning and never stops getting quicker

Watching Ash desperately trying to put Mat’s mic back on while he’s in the middle of a panic attack is so much funnier than any joke this series has ever made.
I think that arts and crafts game with sun isn't necessarily hard like Matpat said, it seems like a game that has some fairly simple controls, I think it's more about how *stressful* the game is. The timer constantly ticking and the little right and wrong sound effects and sun hovering over you making comments the whole entire time makes it seem like a *VERY* stressful game (especially in VR) which leads you to rush and make more mistakes, making it harder in that context, but probably could become more fun after a while. Love the vid Matpat, cant wait to see the rest ❤❤
The game is significantly easier than it first appears (as long as your aim is decent so you don’t keep turning out the lights while calling in parts… 🤣) but everything about it is fine-tuned to cause maximum anxiety. It doesn’t help that if you get things (especially the arms/legs) on the right side they have a nasty tendency of bumping against the “Done” button when you go to pick them up and move them, screwing everything up.
Yeah... but I wonder how he would react to Markiplier, who listened to none of Sun's instructions in favour of pulling the cord the entire time and continuing to do so 30 seconds into the challenge.

as someone whos played the game, a lot of it is also just confusion, it took me a bit to realize what i was supposed to do in what way and i confused orange for yellow like matpat did at least once, and some of the pieces you need often arent obvious from the icons
Matpat is the only person who in the middle of an intense situation, moon coming toward him, trying to fix the carousel, and looking for lore, takes the time to check the back of a clipboard

I think the reason moon said “what makes you so special” is because in Sun’s VO he implied he wished they had just let him fix the carousel, and that if they had just programmed him with the knowledge to do so it’d be done already. We can tell from pretty much all his appearances the daycare attendant is kind of a perfectionist/control freak, enforcing rules, curfews, and even micromanaging the way children play and make arts and crafts. And that really seems to be a facet of his character they’re diving into here. I’m unsure why, but given that pattern, it’s most likely moon is attacking out of frustration of not being able to fix the carousel himself. You know what they say. If you want something done right do it yourself.

I don't think so folks, a few other characters repeat this exact line later in the game. I think it will be very important to figure out what it means.
Also something about the carousel that I didn't see matpat pointing out that all the animals are the toy animatronics and what he thought to be funtime foxy is most likely actually mangle
The idea of MatPat theorizing kids images on the wall instead of saving a dying Helpy is just great.

MatPat had become the first person I go to to watch gameplay of new fnaf games, which was never the case in the past. I feel like he’s one of the only ones who still takes things “seriously” and still gets excited about new lore.
I would normally agree with you, but at this point I'd rather see the person make steady progress in the game instead of spending the greater half of the gameplay being standing and pointing. Prolly just gonna stick to mark with this one🫤

sun/moon faces on the floor of the inner circle of the carousel is interesting considering the implications of the rest of the characters there being around in 1983, them being an 'antique' animatronic would possibly explain why the mimic has elipse's teeth and their general state of disrepair in security breach compared to the glamrocks

I do like where he was going with that. There was a helpy figure in the security room of FNAF6, and we know 'there was a way out' created for the person in that room. So, if that Helpy figure was actually an animatronic that could contain the Mimic1 program (or something like that) it could have escaped that way. Hmm

I really like the personality they've developed for Glamrock Freddy. He's got supportive dad energy, which is a nice counterpoint to the generally menacing vibe of a giant possessed robot
When GF (Glamrock Freddy) gets mad that Mat takes Jimmy's cake, it reminds me of my dad when he would start to get mad about me not getting the right tool.

Can we all agree, Mat started out looking very festive. Christmas crown, oversized sweater, with a bright background, all happy and excited. I prefer him with messy hair tbh, reminds me of old GTLive (period of 2017-2018). Such a cozy look compared to his now usual professional self ❤

I was thinking the same thing! Off the bat he called out the steel doors and fazwrench station, but not how it's the SAME room set up exactly as the deserted pizzeria under the Pizzaplex in SB. Hope he mentions it later then!!

The thing you have to do with mistic hippo is you have to look at the card you wish to choose and essentially stare at it for the whole duration of her "sensing" what card you chose. It requires eyetracking to be turned on in the PS accessory settings.
Clever, also noticed how the Cupcake in the machine tracks the player with its eyes.
yeah, i remember astral spiff finding that out and wandering if its because at some point Steelwool Studios made an obligation for eye trackin and so just decided to make the mystic hippo thingy. They might have actually had more plans for eye tracking in the actuall minigames but decided that it was either too inconsistent or too much of a pain in general to use.

Don't forget, Matt, in VR YOU can use your peripheral vision; however, the viewer can not. Baby freaked you out before we had any idea what was there (I know ya can't control stuff like that, but when you get into the puzzle stuff and attempt to show-off something, you'll need to note the limits of VR video capture, we likely won't see everything you can).

I'm not sure if he does some pre-reading before going into each game, but I respect how much Mat remembers for each game that he plays or each trailor he watches. He always seems to remember little details from past games and trailors that help with his theories and help with his understandings of the games. It's amazing

56:31, I'm not sure if anyone else saw this, but it seemed like it was less likely Funtime Foxy and more likely Mangle - Pre-Mangling, so, Toy Foxy, because you can see the other Toy Animatronics and the Main Core-Four, but you don't see other Funtime Animatronics. Mat kept looking at them as though they were the main four, but they had the rosy cheeks that is distinct to the Toys, so I just thought that was something to think about I guess. 🤷♀️
Then, not only that, if anyone remembers, there is a mini carousel (not nearly as big, but there is one) in the actual FNaF 2 location. Pretty sure it was one of the party rooms... So there's that too.

MatPat, that was not Funtime Foxy, if you looked a little bit closer you would have seen a hook for a hand which means that it was none other than Mangle or Toy Foxy. For the carousel level, the animatronics that were the carts were actually the Toys and Orignals. Funtime Foxy does not have a canon hook. The design of "Toy Foxy" however does have a hook, similar to the original design. It wouldn't be right for Funtime Foxy to be in the group of Toys and Orignals. I just wanted to point it out since you had went into a lore talk
