- Foreign fighters who have been recruited by the Russian army have found themselves on the front lines in Ukraine. Some have been detained by the Ukrainian army. Kyiv is now in talks with their respective foreign governments to repatriate them.

People helping Ukranians are not mercenaries, they are part of the ordinary army and receive the same payment as anyone else. And they follow protocols and obey standards as defined by Geneva Conventions.

Could Ukraine maybe explain how come that Colombians are one of the largest "volunteer" groups on their side? Are Columbians such a huge supporters of freedom and democracy in Ukraine or some agencies promote this in South America? Every day there is another Colombian that succumbed on the battlefield for Ukraine side by their own words. Both sides are having mercenaries and those are the facts only point is that West is calling Ukraine mercenaries as "volunteers"
