Congratulations for your new furry friend. I am a dog trainer so I just wanted to thank you for really researching a dog and the training that goes in to one so many people buy puppies with zero research and when it doesn't work out they end up at rescue centers. Hope you enjoy her xx

She is totally adorable. Obviously from a very good breeder. My one tip would be to put a blanket over the crate, they feel more secure in a den. Keep the crate door open during the day so she can go in there to rest without any disturbance.

You are literally the embodiment of “super mum”.. you’ve inspired me so much over the last 3 years. I aspire to be as good of a mom as you. Thank you for all your content ❤️
Best 5 tips I can give from having 2 puppies is -
1.don’t be afraid to put your hand in their mouth and squeal if she so much as closes her mouth. It teaches her not to bite.
2. Start crate training from day 1 and really persist. A crate is also a great quiet place for her during the day so leave it open. Tell tell the boys if she is in her crate not to disturb her. Cover it too (with a blanket pr towel) so it’s a nice secure place she feels safe in.
3. Don’t annoy her too much but do give little tugs of her tail, ears etc so she gets used to being poked and prodded if/when she needs the vet. Also so she doesn’t get annoyed if younger kids do it to her.
4. The more toys the merrier. The more toys you give her the less likely she will be to steal things and less likely to destroy cushions and furniture. Kong toys or antlers are really good especially an antler or a teething dog.
5. Take her out every couple of hours to go to the loo AND after every play play session or every time she has eaten. And say a command like go weewee’s when she does he business she she can learn the command to go to the toilet. Also reward her when she goes to the loo outside but don’t punish her if she has an accident inside. Instead just take her outside and give her the command.

My puppy absolutely loves pig's ears, Buffalo ears and beef tracheas if your pup is alone during the day,at some point. Xx
@@mdespres-davies1930 got to be careful with this though especialy with small dogs as Pig's ear treats have a high fat content and can be fattening, eventually leading to obesity. They can also cause stomach upsets in some dogs. Because they are high in fat, they can irritate the pancreas, causing pancreatitis in susceptible dogs. This results in vomiting, lethargy, abdominal pain, and diarrhoea. So would only give puppies one as a special treat and only a part of one for a small dog.
I get where you're coming from but it's completely unnecessary to tug on a dog's tail!! It's more likely to wind the dog up and make it more annoyed by being touched in the future. Slowly building up positive association to being restrained / touched with the use of treats or toys is a yes, but definitely no need to pull on their tail etc.! :)
@@chapterstars I wasn’t meaning pull hard. Just a little like lifting up their tail and lightly tug sometimes. Our trainers told us to do it occasionally when we got our jack russels so that they didn’t snap when the gran kids grab hold of the dogs or when the vet needs to check things. I wasn’t meaning it like a hard pull/yank. We just do some light things when playing with the dogs to re-enforce that they are ok with things as we have 2 toddlers in the family who don’t always understand what if they have gone a little too far.
When you surprised the boys i actually teared up because Calebs reaction was everything!!🥰this is the most heart warming thing ever she is so loved already on day one she fits in perfectly such a great edition to your family this is the start of a new chapter I’m so happy for you all congratulations Norris family❤️ she is definitely a lucky girl bless her shes adorable.

Best gift for little kids. Nothing is better than having a pet. You guys are gonna have so much fun. As a dog parent I can give you one advice... Be careful when kids are running around with him. He is so small that if they step on her it will be a really bad injury. Once she is a little bigger there will be no issue. But right now she is too small and her bones are not very strong. You have such an amazing cute active boys so it can happen anytime. Loads of love. I just love your family.
If that bell doesn't work in terms of training (cause it's quite tricky!), you can always try a string of bells attached to the door handle to the garden, so she only has to nudge those instead of paw the other bell, which may be easier 😊 she's beautiful 🥰

This had me in tears. So beautiful 💙 I’ve always had a dog as a child and now as an adult, and I truly think they make a home. Dogs bring so much joy into our lives, and we are simply not worthy of them. This young lady will be so loved and I’m sure will bless you all with many happy years to come. 💙💙💙💙💙 I have an old bulldog, he is a literal angel on earth and I instantly cry thinking he’s coming into his senior years and won’t be with me forever 💔

We bell trained our dogs to ring a sleigh bell we keep by the door when they need to go outside. Totally doable! She's adorable!

I don't know if anyone else has mentioned (seeing as you've been getting lots of tips!) Set a space in your garden for her to pee and number 2 in. Doesn't take too much training. Then your lawn will be free of poop and yellow patches. Which no matter how hard you try you can't always completely pick up. Our doggies know to go down the side of our house where we have gravel and nowhere else. Leaves garden clean for our 3 boys! 🥰

She is gorgeous! We have a rescue which we got at 1 year old and he was so traumatised with crates we called it quits exceptionally early on and he now sleeps on my bed. (He is scared of everything... squeaky toys, dogs, the wind blowing the door shut 🤣...) However when we are out he is an angel, so it's never been an issue. I would say get her used to the idea of the teeth brushing process. So when you eventually have to start cleaning her teeth it will be routine and not a hassle. Dental work on dogs is soooo expensive!!!
Congratulations!! having a new puppy is a thrill. the puppy will eventually adjust to your schedule so just stick to that. Both my dogs are around 14 years old. I still remember those days and I miss how spunky one of mine used to be. Sadly she is feeling her age lately. My other one still plays but not with toys. I do miss that. Ginger would be a good name too. I think pixie is cute.

What saved me when our little girl went into heat, we got a "surgical suit" from Amazon!! It's basically a dog onesie & you can wash it & there are so many cute designs & colors!! She's so cuuuute!! I finally got my girl last year! We named her Gracie!! 🧡

Millie. Lucky sounds like a boy. Crate train. You need a small crate for now. Only big enough to stretch out, stand up and turn around. Best of luck; she's precious.
We also have a non-shedding dog- we got him used to the hairdryer early on (have it a little away from her on a low setting at first) - that and a big microfiber towel helps avoid muddy paws all over the house after winter walks. Their fur can be like a sponge!
As soon as she can go out properly, show her lots of different things like bikes, prams, wheelchairs etc so she gets used to them early.

The best practice that I can recommend is organized class training (a group of puppies with their people in a classroom setting), from a reputable trainer. When she old enough, start with puppy kindergarten, and then maybe at least one additional class (or more even). Worth every penny! Best wishes, it's a brave new world!

I’ve also read when they are so little that you can get a crate divider so they are only kept in a little part of the crate where they sleep and not tempted to have an accident in it, as they don’t like making a mess where they sleep. Motivates them to hold on until they are let out. 😊 so cute. Two weeks until we get our puppy 🥰

Aha massive congratulations doggy mumma! We picked up our cavapoo up 4 weeks ago he was born on 1st August! We always let Cooper in the garden from day 1 even though some people said not until he had his second lot of jab but it really helped with toilet training. Hes nearly completely house trained with only the odd accidents which I think is pretty good for only 12 weeks old! Really recommend fish4dogs for treats, especially training ones! Vet told us that cavapoo’s can be really fussy with their food if you let them so watch out haha! Also really recommend a kong that’s been in the freezer for when you need to get stuff done or a carrot! Xx
