Had a 2016 Bailey Pegasus Modena and the very same issues.
On the way to France a couple of years ago and noticed a dried water stain on the near side, fortunately caught it before it damaged the interior trim and had it repaired, also whilst being repaired the mechanic noticed the floor was soft above the A frame as well.
Don't expect that in a 5 year old van, fortunately both were covered by MB&G warranty and once it was repaired I sold it

Run a length of Eternabond Tape over the joint, no more leaks job done.

Just sold my vigo today. I can't stand the thought of all this worry.
Bailey are hopeless. And most of the other companies.

I had this problem when it completely lifted away from the roof. Only noticed when i looked in the rear cupboard . Fortunately found before any real damage done. My tip, take them off and re bed every few years. I used a white sanitary sealant of good quality. Could have used sikaflex but wasn't sure.

Excellent informative video as usual. What age of Bailey caravans are affected? We have a 2019 Bailey Phoenix. Are any makes of caravan more damp resistant? Basically are there any good caravan makes out there?

Hi, I don't know if you can help me, But I have water coming out of a clear tube on the back of my Bailey Porto caravan when it rains,The guy on service tells me, A hundred percent it's supposed to do that, I have asked him, Where is it coming from,And he said off the roof, To me, the tubes there, to drain water from the cavity, and I presume if I'm right it's getting in from the joining strip or the end caps.

Our 2012 Orion leaked from that rail at 12 months old. Are there any caravans without wood in the floor?

We have a video on this subject... but all manufacturers have water ingress problems. Adria possibly has some of the least issues but coachman, swift, elddis, lunar, bailey all have issues with water ingress.

People asking .....What do I look for on a Bailey caravan before I buy. The answer is....Don't bother looking. Just stay well away. I bought a new one in 2013. Had all the problems listed in this video short , and a hell of a lot more. Had it 6 years and it must have been at the dealers for some kind of repair for a total of 6 months. It was not fully completed when it left the factory with parts missing or very badly fitted. Thet had fitted the water heater external flu without sealant so you could down the back of it revealing the hole cut in the side. Window leaks , shower leaks , oh and a heating upgrade because the wireless system wouldn't work. My friend had his roof rail re-sealed this year. Caused a lot of damage as it was in storage so not regularly checked. Bailey refused warranty work as a service was late due to covid. As if he didn't see that one coming. Funnily enough just this morning I bumped into a woman who worked for the Bailey dealer I bought my van from. She left a year ago so is free to speak her mind on Bailey. RUBBISH was one word. I found that Bailey knew about most of the faults but did nothing to prevent them in the first place.
