After all the garbongo Apex has been pushing out, laying off employees, the hackings, recolors at full price and a new heirloom for 700 bucks. I switched to the finals and it feels so much nicer, the prices are fine, the game has so much style and it feels like they actually care about the consumer and don't see you just as a wallet with legs. Feels much nicer
Honestly the season started out promising but EA and respawn must’ve thought there was too much fun

The colors are so vibrant, the game looks realistic but cartoonish at the same time, the animation at the intro and end of every match is super hype, the cosmetics are great, especially some weapon skins like the cartridge gunner, the pencil dagger, the goddamn scissors as throwing knives, there's a skin that after you kill an enemy, it prints their name on a receipt and you can inspect it, the laser pistol etc etc. All those weapons have unique inspects and reloads that are already miles better than the weapon skins of Apex for example and closer to something like Valorant I'd say. Idk man it's too much stuff to type and impossible to explain but the game has a certain Je ne sais qoui that it's so nice.

The s2 reveal trailer got 3 million views as of this video so I think the game has a solid player base. Plus, steam charts don’t account for Xbox and ps5, which majority of people play on, so I don’t necessarily think this game is dying.
I played in the beta and part of s1 but I quit because lack of content but this new season looks promising i bet the player count is only gonna increase from now on

How is this update surprising? Embark actually pushes out frequent small updates and the hype for this was large in the community embark is the goat bro

The Finals is unironically the third best live service out rn, third only to Helldivers 2 and Fortnite, we get consistent patches every week and new ltms and free cosmetics every 2 weeks! This game rocks!

@@il804I think every LTM they've had so far has had a set of challenges that you can complete to unlock cosmetics. Off the top of my head I remember that being the case for the cowboy LTM and the heavy solos LTM. They also had a free cat sweater and I think something for Valentine's Day?
So there's a good mix of things to unlock for F2Ps.

With the mediums data reshaper, you can also change:mines,turrents,ems(anti-projectile sentry) heavies dome shield and barricades, etc. Pretty dope for counters!
You can also change rockets and grenades coming your way with it, if you're fast enough

Also this game finds a match faster than even Fortnite and I love that. You press play and in 5 seconds you are in a match
Fun fact: the data reshaper isn't random, each carriable Item or gadgets turn to specific stuff. (examples: Explosive = Powder, Turret = Cafe sign, Goo = Flammable, etc) edit: Only the canisters have a set order, but random props always turn to Canisters and gadgets turn to props

Only minor complaint is that the new gamemode is overun with light snipers
Bro forgot to look at the lore cutscenes at the end of the season
the data re-shaper can change other misc. items like a table and chairs into throwables as well it doesn't just only change the throwables

Been playing a bit. It feels a bit more sweaty. It's also been lagging like crazy for me, so bad that sometimes I'm completely still while people just shoot me. It's not my connection because I don't experience that with any other game. New game mode is a cool concept but rarely fun. I do like the updates over all though. I probably won't be playing it much because of the lag and sweatiness in QP.
I play this everyday, i get a game in less than a minute, its not dying, it's only getting better

something i just realized while watching your video. They didn't make any weapon obscenely overpowered to sell battle passes. If you recall in say cod they would force you to cough up money if you wanted to get the new weapons as quickly as possible because they were overpowered and because they wanted to sell skins for them. But finals literally said "yeah you can get 2 of them if you maxed out your vrs in season 1" and then they aren't that much more expensive. Plus their is no way to just outright buy the new guns for money

If any game doesn’t deserve to die it’s the finals, it’s been at a steady 20k which is perfectly fine, I’ll genuinely stop playing video games as a whole if not even something as creative and fun as the finals gets shut down

You should retry Halo Infinite now if you haven't recently. The difference between just 4-5 months ago and now is insane. There is enough content to keep most people playing for hours, and the player counts in total are estimated to be almost 100k daily I think. It's a glorious change and it deserves a comeback.
My biggest issue with The Finals, it's that isn't available on Xbox one S
So yeah I can't play until I have money, (approximately: 9 months without spend a single penny) I fuking love Brasil

It’s definitely not 10k playerbase, 20k on average in steam and that doesn’t even account for the console charts, this game has a very healthy playerbase

honestly the gameplay is cool and all but the gamemodes suck. we need some more traditional game modes
I'm in love with 5v5 tbh. Super fun. It's always gonna be better with friends, but 5v5 I can enjoy even by myself. That was my biggest issue with the game prior to this season, all the modes were awful when solo queueing.
I don't think we NEED traditional game modes but having the option couldn't hurt

The halo playerbase is indeed dead💀 even after good updates. It’s straight up sad the game will never see true success and retain players like successful multiplayers
