I love the way The Finals copies Fortnite’s system of cosmetics and battlepasses. Like Fortnite, The Finals’ skins are $20 and under, the battlepass is $10, and if you finish it, you end up with $15 worth of multibucks. Embark is not holding back on making a good game and season 2 shows it.
Not to mention the Finals' cosmetics are INSANE!!! Some of the best I've seen in recent memory.

I think macros idea to make these recolours purchasable with tokens if you own the skin would actually work monetarily because if people can buy some of the stuff with tokens they’ll be much more likely to buy the whole event to get the final reward because it would be far cheaper so it probably wouldn’t even lose ea any money
This is actually a really amazing idea, it sucks we know Respawn and EA won’t make that happen until it’s the 9th year anniversary,
Off topic but the game siege is finally giving the players what they want but literally in its 8th year but hey it finally happened so I can hope apex does the same

Wasn't it like that a couple of years ago? I remember I could use the legend tokens to buy recolors if I had the original skin.
We need more CZcamsrs who have large fan bases to speak up like Marco , the reason why they don’t speak up is cause they receive benefits from EA and can afford some of cosmetics they offer . I appreciate your rants Marco 🙌🏽
The thing with Fortnite is you get SOOO much bang for your buck now. You have the standard 100 tiers, PLUS basically another entire battle pass with extra rewards you can earn along with skin styles. Fortnite’s battle pass is also easy to level up. They do have filler in their battle pass. But the skins are always really good. Apex gives you 2 legend skins, a few weapon skins. And that’s it. Not to mention the fact apex takes the longest to level up in out of any battle pass. These other companies need to catch up to Fortnite.
Despite the fact that half of the battle pass is just recolors of previous items its STILL more than apex. That speaks volumes.
@shafiasif7247 Hate to break it to you but they're always releasing original skins, the only recolor that happened in the last year came as a bonus to their subscription that has an original skin every month, the battle pass, the rocket league battle pass, and 1000 vbucks and if you cancel, you get next months skin set free excluding the other rewards

Gotta love greedy ass corporations. Just wish gaming companies went back to the values they had years ago: putting the player experience above monetary gain.
The Finals is so great for this. The skins are $15 on average, the most expensive being $20 that come with a few recolours, weapon skins and/or emotes.
The customization is also modular, there is an option to equip the full skin you buy but you can also mix and match pieces from stuff you either unlock or buy. Plus, the skin applies to every class instead of just 1.
The battle pass gives the same amount back as fortnite (but tbh it's a little more stingy with giving 75 at a time instead of the usual 100), and the skins are all really high attention to detail. They do recolours, but the most expensive one so far was $12, most of them have been free regardless of whether you own the base cosmetic.
A new season just released to (hope you cover it Macro), and they've revamped weekly challenges to give a cosmetic reward like Halo Infinite. Unlike that game however, you get the whole season to complete then with a new one unlocking each week. *And* they give 125 currency.
Can you even call these transactions "micro" at this point?
One thing that really shows the EA greed is why they didn't do the half price thing similar to wraiths recolour to soften the blow of the fact it's nothing new. But no they had to extract every cent possible from the people that play there game if you piss of the players you will end up with no players...
They chose the best skins to recolor as the originals are from a battle pass or only bought in the store. So you can now craft them even if they aren’t the originals.
Warfrane is an other kind of game which gives you the option to earn platinum (the curency for buy stuff like apex coins, silver from D2 etc) by trading prime parts with people. It's very nice how they make your grind worth it, unlike other games (D2)

Last year we also got a similar event, only recolours and heirloom recolour, except last time everything was half price and you got on top of a few free apex packs (none this time) 2 free event packs. Not to mention the skins that were recoloured were way better, night and day better.
The one and only good thing about heirloom recolors is the updated animations for both heirlooms and (for the most recent two) heirloom finishers.

A year ago I played apex on console and it was pain unlocking every character. Then i got a notebook and i have given up ( old account had my sisters e-mail on it so thats why i didn’t use cross progression)

The fact that Macro didn't even have to talk about new game mode (which you are FORCED to play) to prove how bad this event is goes miles
I think maybe 1,000 to 1,200 apex coins is an affordable price per legendary, like the modeling of each skin (not recolors) is quite time-consuming, but with the price now it should be worth it for a good skin + a good-looking banner + a good emote/skydive emote for 1,800 apex coins.
I heard that we probably wont get character specific heirlooms anymore. :(

Same here from me but with Ballistic...Like just give us all heirlooms and then u can do what u want.. it's so trash to see some legends mains get soo much love and heirlooms and u can't do nothing even if u have shards cuz ur main has no heirloom...Like fr i have shards for one heirloom and obviously i'm waiting for my main legend heirloom but till then I can't spend them.. It's like u get a phone but u can use it till ur 53.. It's soo unfair and this is just brain dead bc every time i open the game the:"Buy a heirloom from mythic shop" pop up show and i'm there like: YES I WOULD IF I COULD SPEND THEM ON SMTH I'M INTERESTED IN NOT THE THINGS THAT ARE AVAILABLE AT THE MOMENT...

For me I would love it if instead of guaranteeing an heirloom at 500 packs its when you reach prestige for the first time like level 500 and then change it to every 500 packs cause I play apex quite often and I'm currently level 498 and I still have had no luck with a heirloom yet. It just feels bad that I cant get my mains heirloom if I get to prestige level which has taken just a bit more than 6 seasons to get to. Also I cant afford to spend hundreds of pounds just to get a single heirloom for a single legend.
For the Final Fantasy event, one of my friends WHO WAS A NEW PLAYER didn’t know how to buy it AND WHEN HE DID he only had enough money to buy 35 packs.. ok no death box ur thinking….. AND NO FRICKING HEIRLOOM, so that’s why I hated that event

EA and Respawn are so incredibly greedy now to the point where they detract from the game itself. For some reason, Apex is the ONLY game that has connection issues for me (1gb ethernet). Not to mention, cosmetics are everywhere, more than most games.

Helldivers 2 also gives free currency in the free battle pass but if you don’t want to grind u have the option to purchase currency which is the way it should be in all games 💁🏻♂️

Those are bundle prices. Fortnite gives you the choice to buy skins for lower price on their own or buy the bundle and get a discount on multiple items! Also Fortnite's V-bucks are cheaper and every season of Fortnite's BP pays you back an extra 550 on top of the 950 of the BP price! 20-25 $ is not standard skin price that is what Apex and overwatch want you to accept! Go and check Fortnite's item shop there are always big bundles of like 3 or more skins (+extra styles!) for 20-25 $ maybe even less! Apex and Overwatch prices are not defendable! Overwatch's changes made me quit the game for good! And Apex never got more than 10 $ from me for the very 1st BP I bought all the way back in season 2! But Fortnite keeps getting money from me even though I just started playing with zero build, cause they do better!

to add on what you said people dont get mad at fortnite also because when you pay your 20bucks skin it’s usually comes with a lot of different cool styles and mainly because you play your skin like that’s the character you play, in overwatch and apex for exemple its 20bucks for a skin for only one character the moment you switch you dont have it and you have to buy multiple skins if you want all your characters to look cool so 20 for a skin for one character in a game where you have like 27 different one is waaaaay too overpriced
To be fair, OW2 gives you free currency, but its only for older skins from OW1.

Obverwatch doesn’t even give you currency in the pass that you can use to buy the pass

Seriously the fact that so many people spend enough money to buy most of the GOATs of the video game industry on SKINS YOU CANT EVEN SEE is insane.
For one heirloom event you could have bought yourself and 3 friends a copy of terraria and pizzas and enjoy a solid several hours of quality fun game time.

I like you macro but the problem with the overwatch 2 prices is that you can't see the skin in game. The reason why fortnite gets the pass on prices because it's a 3 person shooter and you can see the skin.
Also the price of one overwatch skin is like 2-3 Fortnite skins if you spend right.
This is worse than the SF6 SxF crossover and that only has 2 overpriced costumes not even for roster characters
