Purchased this welder about 8 months ago, haven't used it yet due to moving and also need to re-set up my work shop. Very encouraging review, thank you. You look like Kevin Costner.
For shortcoming of cheap mig welders seems to be welding thin sheet metal and or spray transfer with steel and aluminum. Could you do a follow-up video and cover these items?
I've welded 14 and 16 ga sheet with it, and it does really well with them. I do want to weld aluminium with it, and I'll will post a video of that adventure. :)
Sorry about that. I cut that section out because of how long the video got. It will weld 1/8 inch on 110v for a decent amount of time before needing a rest. It will probably weld 14 gauge all day. I did weld 3/16 for about 4 inches before it tripped the breaker.
Yep. Due to time, I cut it out of the video. I was able to weld about 5 inches of 1/8 inch thick metal together with an inside corner weld no problem. I tried 1/4 inch, but it tripped the breaker after about 30 seconds. I'm not sure what the max amp and duty cycle is on 110 volt.

I have yet tried an igt machine still using other older machines, it's tempting for sure but I am usually welding over quarter inch most of the time
Keep on trucking good mig
All plug sockets in home in the U.K. are 240v
HI , how did you tig weld without the argon gas hooked up as you did not hook up the gas until you went to mig weld .
Mig is very nice
Great review, I am purchasing one.
I can buy one for £75 brand new I thought about buying one just to have
Does it have hot start for stick?
Are the settings for wire feed speed in imperial or are they in metric?
What kind of penetration were you getting? I am okay with terrible form - its the strength that counts! Thanks for the review.
Thanks for the review. Seems like a bargain.
Can it take an aluminum gun?

With your code and they have if for 13% off also, this is literally $258 delivered! A complete no-brainer for a home owner machine for sure.
I'm looking to buy this because I haven't got a reasonable way to run 220 into my little shop. I was hopeful that you would show it operate on 110.

how is it to weld sheet metal for car repairs?
I found it welded 16 ga really well. I didn't try anything thinner.
Does it have AC high frec for aluminum?
yeah I think so, it's ac machine
Nope. It's a DC machine.
Hello, can you MIG weld aluminum with that welder?
No
👍

40
