I can confirm this is a setup because of all the camera angles. At 1:00 the camera is on a tripod in a hallway where the receptionist had just been. So how does he not even look once in that angle? He just goes straight around the corner without looking at anything. And if they used gopros in the lobby he would probably had noticed it a long time ago, unless he is blind.

Have you heard about editing? Things didn't probably go AS close to each other + there was only one camera angle per room.
He actually puts effort to his pranks and the hotel is probably in the prank, just not the receptionist. Also what timings? That's called editing and planning. And how do you know that it didn't fail the first time for example and they got a new receptionist.

With most of the prank channels being faked for best reactions and to avoid constant legal actions, what makes you think this would be any different?
adrien gros Since I monitor security cameras for my own buildings, I know what's out there and what is commonly used right now. I know security cameras don't put out perfect HD quality like that. And most places enable the time stamp feature in their footage for obvious evidence related reasons. So I can assure you, no security cameras were used in the making of this prank video.
