    i got one peraless by the diference in price,i live in brazil and the prices are insane ,the ak620 can be found close to 95+ dolars and the pa120se i get for 49,12 dollars ,the price diference is incredible.

      Thanks for sharing! The Peerless Assassin is definitely a great value buy for its performance.

      @@pc_analytics I got the AG620 which performs incredibly similar to the AK620 for U$ 69 yesterday. It is way cheaper than the peerless assassin (which, by the way, is hard to find nowadays in Brazil!). In some benchmarks I saw it even surpassed the AG620 in thermals, even though it uses cheaper fans. I would love to see the AG620 reviewed too against the peerless to confirm that! Thank you by this nice video, it was the one video that made me go for the Ag620 to cool my hotter than hell 5800X!!!

    I'm running the Dark Zero version of the AK620 since my usual go to Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 4 isn't compatible with my motherboard. I was skeptical at first due to how cheap it was, but has been running great and pretty quiet since I got it. No complaints at all. Keeps my 13600k in check. It also looks really good, too .

      Just wondering what price you got it for. The ak620 zero dark is €75,- where i live while the dark rock pro 4 is €80,-. Also, the peerless assasin is only €39,- so almost half the cost of the ak620.

    Why do they never test the heatsinks with better fans than factory to prove the better performer? Like the Scythe Wonder Tornado 120mm better air pressure, not cfm.

    • @pc_analytics
      @pc_analytics  Před rokem

      Yea, it will be fine. It will overhand the ram, but you can just move the fan up slightly without much performance loss.

    • @DGneoseeker1
      @DGneoseeker1 Před 4 měsíci

      @@pc_analytics I for one would like to know why motherboard manufacturers keep putting the ram slots in that position when everyone KNOWS that overhang from coolers can be a problem...

  • @meeloeveryday512
    @meeloeveryday512 Před rokem

    I was thinking of buying the PA, but afraid that the ram clearance isnt enough, I have the Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB ram, or should I go for the ak620?

    • @pc_analytics
      @pc_analytics  Před rokem +6

      Both the AK620 and the PA will overhang the RAM slots. However, the AK620 will have more clearance than the PA, but you can still move the fan up a bit on the PA without much loss in performance, so it becomes less important from that perspective. However, given you are looking at RGB ram, neither the AK620 or the PA will be good choices given they will hide the RAM and therefore cover the RAM's RGB. With that in mind, I would point you to the Noctua U12A. Lot of performance for its size and won't overhang the RAM slots, or consider going non-RGB RAM and save a few bucks.

    why sites results are different? Makes no sense

    • @pc_analytics
      @pc_analytics  Před 10 měsíci

      I take a model based approach to the results. With that in mind a few things have changed since the release of the video:
      • I have updated the model, which may have small changes to results
      • I have done more testing on both the Phantom Spirit and Peerless Assassin, which both contribute to changes in the results.
      Note that the changes observed are only a few degrees, which is well within the expected volatility observed in normal use. Additionally, the website shows 130W while the video only shows at most 125W.
      With the above information in mind, the website will always show the most recent results while my videos are a reflection of a snapshot of the data and subsequent model at a point in time. In comparing the video to what the site shows, the biggest different is within the lower RPM results, while the higher RPM results

      Thank you for letting me know about these coolers. I'll add them on the list of items, however I have quite a bit in the pipeline so it may be a bit before I'm able to get to them. Few things I'm working on right now:
      • Collecting data to expand analysis & models to different CPU's
      • Collecting AIO data to have proper models to cover AIO's
