Can anyone tell me if SINCGARS can be jammed by the enemy, say Russia or China? How close would they have to be? Can they do it from a drone, a plane? How far would jamming work, is it omni-directional and can you exclude your own equipment? What can be done to protect yourself from jamming of radio signals? Asking for a book I am writing...
Hey everyone, thanks for taking the time to respond! I appreciate the input and would like to take this opportunity to address an issue very helpfully pointed out by some of our viewers. "Power amplifier AM-7238 provides up to 50 watts output power from the radio in vehicle mounts. A single amplifier mounts in the mounting adapter to the side of the radio. If the set requires two high-power radios, a separate mount is used for the second amplifier. Due to internal circuits, the adapter mounted amplifier can only be used with the radio installed in the lower housing."www.globalsecurity.org/military/library/policy/army/fm/11-32/Ch3.htm In practice, the configuration shown in the video will absolutely function just fine for a functions check of the radio, but as pointed out will have a limited range. As the focus of the video was SINCGAR PMCS, the choice was made to film the radio in the top slot for aesthetic and lighting purposes, Sorry if this created any confusion and thank you again for taking your time to point that out! We appreciate your concerns and suggestions!
You are correct, also, he plugged the radio into the wrong PA port as well. Cable runs from radio to bottom port (MV/RT), top port connects to Antenna.
while you make a valid point the training purpose of the video is just familiarization. i do not think they would be communicating with anything further than the vehicle beside them in the motorpool.
Great video definitely came in clutch 👌
Great video for reminder for soldiers! Great work!

i need a satcom 225-400 mhz RX /TX Fm Transceiver max 20 watt
What's a whisky2 cable
Wrong A radio only works with that amp and B radio which is the TOP slot will only work with a external amp.
Wrong, the radio works with whatever amp you plug the antenna wire into. It's literally soldier proof, which is good for you.

WRONG. THE BRAVO RADIO CANNOT RECIEVE POWER FROM THAT POWER AMP!!!! THAT RADIO DEFINETLY WILL NOT OPERATE OUTSIDE OF ABOUT 10 METERS
