- Jackie Hill-Perry tells her story of coming out of a godless lifestyle, including a lesbian relationship. God saved her whole self, not just the sexually compromised parts, and brought her to a place of surrender. Her story encourages followers of Jesus to give their whole lives to holiness, trusting God can turn any sinful bent to glorious surrender.

In the beginning of her message, I heard the same almost bitter tone that a lot of Christian Hip Hop artist are all saying concerning the church. How the church rejected them, judge them and condemned them to Hell. The saints of the LORD have to do a better job at showing the love of Christ to everyone. Although we don't stop telling the truth about sin, we still should show compassion to sinners and not think of ourselves more highly then we ought to. There should have been more blood washed believers that showed this young lady the love of Christ. Nevertheless the plan of the LORD still was accomplished in her life. Glory be to the Heavenly Father!!

If that’s all you took away from this message then you may want to watch it again. It’s not about whether she’s still attracted to women or whether she’s tempted to sin. It’s about the difference the Spirit of God can make in a person who is full of sin as we all are from the start. As we grow closer to anyone we will slowly change (most of the time subconsciously) to look think and act like those we are with. Think of the phrase “bad company corrupts good character” . The opposite happens when we invite the Spirit of God to live in us and we seek God wholeheartedly. There is a process of sanctification that happens over the span of a believers life. While we will never be sinless this side of heaven, as we learn to know God’s heart and character and walk with Him daily we become more and more like him. That’s the transformation that people have seen in life of this beautiful daughter of God. I can sense the bitterness in your tone and I pray that whatever you’re so mad at God about or how much you’ve been hurt by “Christians” that God will reveal himself to you.

I think many ppl are hesitant to speak to homosexuals, is b/c of uncertainty; we know its a sin, but we struggle to seperate the sin from the person. I think homosexuals serve a purpose in this world, and that is to make known what we overlook: our ability to love humans inspite of their sin. We don't understand love! It is through time and space that we come to the knowledge of love through Christ Jesus! God has allowed me to be face to face with this at my job; and through prayer, I have come to be open to love a co-worker...she even teaches me how God wants us to be: loving of ppl!

all sexual immorality is sin, as is all lying and stealing and hatred. Sin exists and it's what separates us from God. All have sinned, that doesn't mean we're "bad" people it means that we are separate from God and living apart from His love and His will. Which is why He sent Jesus. Just an observation: she gave her testimony and spread the gospel all without the speaking in tongues that you so often see in mainstream Pentecostal churches. She had some emotion but she never broke out in "ah-shama-lama" midsentence. I'd like to get other's thoughts, but I feel like tongues have become a distraction in church and more to show off. I don't think it's necessary. Maybe I'm wrong, but I got more from Jackie not speaking in tongues then what I get from Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights at church.

I am so saddened to hear that David, I really am. I too have gone through that myself as a young child, and continued through my teens. I just want to let you know that there is a God. I know it can seem so hard to believe that, but there are situations in my life that I can truly say, I'm not sure how I survived. I know that you do not know me and maybe feel like you shouldn't take my word for it, but I fee like there is part of you that wants to believe, otherwise you wouldn't feel compelled to be on this page or even comment. Wow, just looking at this clip. I wanted to meet her. Little did I know she would be speaking my heart. I have struggled for years to become straight. Now I am like how do you clean up a mess in the dark, you have to bring it to light. I believe Christians need to be more compassionate. I'd like to go for help but oh the condemnation and judgement scares me. I got here thru my life experiences, before I even knew.

I've been struggling with sexual sin. I felt down and discouraged because of my lack of self-control. I read articles on purity and sexual sin but it didn't help me much. Thank God I came across this video. God really spoke to the core of my heart through Jackie's voice. I glorify God for all that He has done in her life and her testimony.
