Im on xbox and i keep having quests that are supposed to trigger not trigger. Meaning i cant finish the main or faction questlines.
Let me see if I can find anything out..

Over 50 hours and the game is unplayable for me now, crashes every 90 minutes, bugs with 2 of the faction missions meaning I can't complete the story quests, and now more bugs and glitches are coming up, my only option is to start a new game and back track to a previous save each time I run into a bug, I recommend that for everyone else too. Even if you run into a small bug, just load a previous save or it can snowball and completely ruin your game like mine. The game is pretty fun though, that's why I'm giving it one more chance
Damn Brandon… i’m so sorry to hear that. That’s frustrating, as I mentioned in the video for some people it’s great and others like yourself are dealing with all of these issues. Please keep me posted, and I promise to keep you up-to-date on any information I hear. Good luck, my friend.
Im having the same issue. Was running smooth then started crashing. Found out a faction quest was supposed to trigger like 15 hours ago but never did. Theres no main quests in my quest log either so im guessing thats ruined too. I really hope they make a patch and those quests aito trigger or this has been a huge waste

Good luck to the incoming players! To set your expectations, this game is a typical Bethesda RPG with a space theme and elements, NOT an exploration and survival game like No Man's Sky, for example. Also 30+ hours on Xbox and haven't experienced ANY serious bugs, just some minor graphical glitches, and loving the game.
I think most people expected it to be like any other Bethesda game, and not like nms in terms of survival.

@@LTNetjak well I think most of that criticism is from those who don't play Bethesda games. Because if they did, and I'm not saying this is 100% across the board but, they would know Bethesda doesn't really make "survival" games.
Honestly when I play the game, I get a lot of fallout vibes with the mechanics and gunplay. And Skyrim vibes with the immersion and atmosphere. But I can totally see a bit of nms in terms of the whole space thing. But that's kind of par for the course with any space game. It's a pretty solid game though, I've been enjoying it a lot
Agree, if you go in thinking it's like NMS or Elite Dangerous you're likely to be disappointed

Im a casual gamer, this is the perfect game for me. Im old and been playing video games since Atari 2600 came out. when playing from 8 bytes to this masterpiece, a few bugs here and there are not an issue.
I was in level 21 (40+ hours), but then suddenly it stopped saving and all saves past level 9 (14 hours) vanished. Cmon man 🤬

@@TheGamingBrigadeTVI grinded for a good 14 hours non-stop and got to 8+ starborn then it crashed. I lost EVERYTHING and it sent me back to lvl 18😑😑
So I've played roughly 15ish hours so far, and I've only come across a couple minor bugs. One was an asteroid glitching and spazzing out inside another asteroid. And the other was, I believe a mission bug but I'm not entirely sure. It was part of the red tape missions where you have the choice of blackmailing the governor or getting him arrested. Decided with the latter, but the governor is still in his office.
Tried sleeping, waiting, leaving the planet and coming back. I even restarted my game and nothing.

As far as audio issues and lag goes, my daughter was experiencing this on her PC, but resolved all the problems by moving the game to her SSD. Since that time we've both been running silky smooth and issue free, apart from my character who now has a lung infection and can't return to New Atlantis because I have a UC bounty on my head, but that's another story.

100%. TURN OFF EVERY AUTO SAVE FUNCTION and manually save (Xbox). Till this day it's borked in Starfield. 350+ into the game. I encountered an issue where there was no space to save an exit save, out of save space or almost out of save space. So, I returned one save back and turned every auto save feature off, deleted every auto save file from load and no problems anymore.
To be fair, over relying on auto save in any game is a bad idea. You should always manually save.

Just had 25 hours of gameplay revert to when I was 2 hours into the game due to a game breaking bug. Fuming

I wish I knew there are some game-breaking glitches in this game. Like the one on mission "No Sudden Moves". If you leave The Scow without completely finishing the mission after you have already talked to the captain, you will get locked out of the ship, preventing you from completing the mission and the rest of the campaign. At least if you are locked out, you can go do other sidequests, but it is frustrating. Hours of playing wasted. 😡😤
I lost about 15 hours of progress because the game randomly switched my home ship to a ship I don't have the pilot skill to use and now I can't fast travel and it won't let me switch back to my other ships and the last save without this glitch means I lose 15 hours of progress

I've found another bug. I've had around 15 planet survey data cards stored on my ship (Frontier). Bought 2 ships & modified them and waited to upgrade my commerce skill to the max, so that I can profit at Vladimir. And when I've reached that point ... surprise, surprise ... only 2 cards were available to sell from the ship. It's interesting, because I've had various items stored on my ship, during this whole time, but only those cards disappeared from there!

I’m convinced that it wasn’t buggy enough at launch so the patched in a bunch during updates. My game freezes constantly even with autosave disabled (console), pressing start freezes the game and I have to exit out. Reinstalling did nothing, they f’d up.

Chances are the PC issues are related to the fact that the game was optimized for AMD, and drivers for Nvidia and Intel aren’t out yet. They will be soon enough.
Lucky AMD is the better platform. 😀
xbox series x, I've had freezing, crashing, ship just went missing and couldn't get it back had to sell it. I've been lucky enough to not have any major bugs in oblivion, skyrim, fallout series ( minus 76) so I guess this is just karma lol.

@@TheGamingBrigadeTV I resintalled the game , deleted all auto/ quick saves turned off autosave and it fixed most issues.
I play on PC and am not having any issues yet, knocking on some serious wood.

I love this game truthfully, that being said im beyond pissed at loaing my entire weekend to the autosave bull. I was thinking of restarting anyway but was hoping i wasnt forced. Its already doing it again on my new game

Just bought the game for me and Ma, I got a RTX 4090 - also got it for Ma, she has my older pc with RTX 2060 Super. Will update after I get to playing Starfield today - and if Ma has issues. 😁 (Side Note 1: I will be using a mod to swap out the default fsr with dlss for my nvidia card just in case results may vary)

Mantis mission and a rescue mission I had the npc I was supposed to meet and talk with not be accessible. The talk prompt was there but didn’t work. Then I killed surrounding enemies and the missions main npc became hostile!?! Also just started have save issues around 15hrs in.
I got the save file bug. I didn't even knew it existed. I used only the autosave and I was about 25 hours in game. I started Starfield and loaded the save. Save file corrupt warning. The last save file I could open was from two days ago! Wtf!. Searched online and tons of people have the same issue. I have no patience to deal with that Sh¿t and do all those missions and lost credits, ships and outpost building again So I deleted Starfield and ended my Xbox pc subscription. I have to note. This happened after the update yesterday (CET for me)

All I’ve done is side missions! Lol. That actually led me to an amazing ship, which I will be posting about later today that you can get early in the game. The thing is a monster!

I'm pretty sure a quicksave last night didn't take for me, I had to re-do some tedious work in the game because of it. I do normally clean up my save files by deleting old auto-saves and overwriting them regularly with manual saves.
I’m totally playing it safe. It’s so easy to get sidetracked in this game in two or three hours can pass in the blink of an eye.
Ur manual saves dont mean a thing if its set to 10 minutes or every wait or load, ur manual saves get pushed down the list. Quick save has to be strategic. And u have to keep an eye when it auto saves like 5 times. U then use ur autosaves and go back 8 minutes. Or u go pick to go back when u chose, but if u dont do it in time ur fucked lol.
The only other time I’ve ever seen this happen was in fallout new Vegas. I kept re-farming areas over and over again. And basically I would get corrupt data. It’s not really surprising it’s an open world game it’s gonna happen.

3 saves dead so far 4 hours total loss in game time (So your tip to manual save is a great idea just don't do it in space) plus I have given up on companions the AI is so bad and I cant get rid of a weather warning and I have 2 missions that are broken both because of god awful path finding AI once again.
Enjoy the Space Opera as once you get in the game it turns into a soap opera with a ton of loading boxes.

I was quicksaving and my xbox turned itself off, i lost all my auto saves and my most recent quicksave so now im back to level 8 i was level 33, PAIN

My at a point in Cheyenne stop loading when enter buildings and started freezing upon hit quick save, do have all factions active, found there may be a bug with crimson fleet where just does infinite loading or something

As an Xbox player who never relied on auto save, I only manual saved by habit. And I just lost 50+ hours of gameplay. How do I fix that lol

My friend just now had 1day and 10 hours of play time and wanted to save but it didn’t let him. Reset the game and app and all the saved files are gone lvl 1 only file. He’s super mad and won’t play again unless he gets his saved files back.

Just happened to me, game crashed on a landing scene. Restarted, cleared reserved and local space. Nothing, my 77 character and 250 hours wasted, F Microsoft and Bethesda for this buggy sh*tty mess of a game. Maybe I'll revisit the game in a year or two when it's not sh*t.

For some reason I can't have more than 1 manual save and 1 quick save. I had to turn auto save off cuz it kept popping up with a message that I had no more space for saves. It's so annoying

Play on asus rog strix 17.3 with win 11 home, 4060, 16gbyte ram, and 2tb ssd. Only minor video glitch occasionally. Playing ultra res and getting consistent
30 + fps. Very please with game performance and story line! Do wish there were explanations on how to farm, shipbuild etc! Playing since last Thursday and have about 30 hrs in game.

Two issues. 1) In my 'Status' it shows Im in a place with bad weather - including the symbol. No biggie, just annoying. 2) Sometimes when I have been playing for hours (3+) the game will 'freeze' in between loading screens. Might be a bug, might be my Xbox is overheating from 4+ hours of play.
I haven't dealt with the overheating issue.. that's crazy
@@TheGamingBrigadeTV that is my guess as of right now. No other reason I can think of at the moment. Just ordered a cooling fan, so will see if that changes things. After 36hrs, has only happened twice.

This is at least the third time I can't save and auto save doesn't work it's just grayed out in the menu and I'm playing on PC. No I have not bothered with any mods or cheats yet.

Let us choose to have it auto save before jumps. Not each jump. The fucking 15 minute shit is not clever for any game maker. If it auto saves put me right back before the action that would be ideal. @@TheGamingBrigadeTV ya I’m have been trying to fix an issue saying I have 0 save space, I’ve literally deleted everything on my Xbox as my save count started at 40, I can no longer save 40 games it can only do 32, wait nope I delete a bunch to make room now I can only have 18 save slots, ohhhh k where did my other 32 slots go, they don’t exist, game literally letting me save 1 slot and saying I have 0 space when nothing on the console
