My game stopped showing buildings, most of my ship, and some items, such as chairs, rails, kiosks, desks, etc. Basically, just about everything was invisible except for the NPCs, doors, and other random objects. This was the case, regardless of what save I loaded, even reaching back more than a week. After applying your fix at 2:45, I loaded into my last save, and it was completely sorted it out. Thanks!
If you try to save and it freezes, press the Xbox button on your controller, go to home then immediately press Starfield's icon and it should unfreeze. If it doesn't repeat this process until it works. Don't wait till the sound and music stops. That's how I'm getting around it with my game.
Do NOT unplug while it sill running. You can create some serious issues like that. Just hold the xbox button on your console till it turns off completely then you can unplug it from the power. Wait 15 seconds and plug it in again. Thats how you clear the Cache.
Fun fact the only way I can get my series s to find wifi every time I turn it off is to pull the power cord after turning it on. Idk but nothing else works
I changed graphics settings for Series X to 1080P and that solved it. My TV is 4K but for whatever reason Series X can't handle it with Starfield. 1080P was the solution. Simple to fix. The problem is not with X Box. The Problem is with Starfield now being optimized for 4K on X Box. I have no trouble with other games such as Mass Effect Legendary.
I'm on the X and had zero issues with the game before the patch. I was really surprised how smooth it was but that patch caused all types of issues, game frame rate drops more often constantly crashes.
That tends to happen a lot whenever they have an update, which sucks, because they try to fix some things while breaking others. I stop playing because of all the crashes and bugs, it was getting frustrated though I really like the game. I used to just go back from a previous save to see if that would fix the crash, it worked most of the times.
I started playing again last week after the update and now I can't even load my game without it dashboarding either. Tried 10 different save points and same thing. I've done everything but that turning it down from 4k someone mentioned. I wonder if Bethesda has said anything about this issue
Yep. The update was supposed to fix game crashes and now it's worse. I'm getting crashes for no apparent reason and I get taken back to the home screen where I have to start the game again and continue from the last saved point. I could be boarding my ship, exiting my ship, jumping to another system, going into the menu, or whatever, and poof....like Bethesda magic I'm back at the home screen. I set to auto save every 5 minutes instead of ten, deleted my account and then went through the account set up again, did full resync by different methods like deleted my saved game data on Xbox......did shut downs, unplugged ...many times...restarted the consul many times. No fixes. Before the last update it wasn't this bad.
I got about 200 hours of gameplay in and am now at the stage where i can no longer save the game without crashing. Ive turned off all auto save features which does help somewhat but am still unable to manually save, so pretty much fruitless playing any longer as i am unable to save my progress.
Did you try to delete some old saves and see if that helps? Either way, I think they need to fix all those issues, it's getting frustrating which is why I stop playing until they fix all these issues. Thx for the feedback my friend!
It’s just standard Bethesda crap. I was playing on Xbox Series S on launch default settings no problems no crashes. Then there “Hot Fixes” and updates they manage to actually break the game. IDK could be overheating could be it’s just getting glitchy AF. Maybe a combo. I have a feeling this is going to be like fallout 76 where it takes a year before the games actually in a true fundamental playable state where you’re not having to deal with glitches in crashes, every one to two hours of gameplay minimum. Granted, it’s not as bad as fallout 76 wars but that’s saying a lot.
They should have learned from the past, apparently they didn't. I was enjoying the game until i keep having crashes left and right. So I stop playing. thanks for the feedback my friend!

I went to a older save, got in deleted evry save and made a new savefile and it worked for me😊
