I wish there was more information about younger people that have had retinal bleeding. My official diagnosis was "idiopathic wet macular degeneration" at 33 years old which was resolved with one intraocular injection of lucentis ($2,000 per injection at the time). I have had no issues since, but am left with a macular scar just to the left of my fovia. I was very lucky. I just had a check up and things remain dormant. I regularly check the amsler grid for any changes.

I have macular degeneration. My eye sight is really blurry. I have to use eye drops. My eye specialist told me there is a good possibility that I will go blind. I have had cataracts but I have had bad eye sight since age 3 and had eye surgery at age 4. I started wearing glasses at age 4 and my eyes are getting bad.
I wish you best of luck with your eye recovery. It's disheartening to know someone will go blind I can only imagine the pain.

I was diagnosed with this in my left eye and am receiving injections every 4-6 weeks. I’m only in my 30’s. Is there a way to remove the scar tissue in the retina and restore vision?? Please advise 🙏🙏🙏
Why are there people who has still good eye condition even they are too old. I believe there is another condition that is not age-related but more of lifestyle-related macular degeneration which is closer to reality. Good nutrition may have something to do with good eye health, don't you think so?

Hi i am 17 years old and have been experiencing this kind of situation where i am unable to see with my central vision and it gets larger slowly...so i guess i have AMD..idk really because i cant assume things especially like this. I have been experiencing this for almost 2 to 3 years. I just wanna know if it's rare that teens like me have this condition? And if this AMD can really be that "threatening"....

You should see an ophthalmologist asap. It may not be amd but another condition that may cause vision loss.
i have blind spots, but they become smaller if i look closer at something. sometimes they have purple waves.

You're permant blindness or legally blind?
If you're legally blind, by nano-grade eye drops, most likely,
your vision can be restored.
