Emerging Trends in Age Related Macular Degeneration

- Over 15 million people in the United States suffer from macular degeneration, and almost 2 million of these patients have the advanced form of the disease. This course will highlight the risk factors that drive this disease, imaging modalities that are best suited for geographic atrophy evaluation, the type of lesion patterns that place patients at high risk for progression, and potential treatments. We will also focus on current research of emerging therapies.

What is drusen made of? Is this fat monecules? How is a drusen molecule formed. Can AMD come from the external environment and not formed internally by the body? If so, what external environment (or chemicals so to speak) would cause AMD? Thank you for your time.

I'm surprised there was no mention of avoiding all veg/seed oils in your diet which is hi in omega 6. Your on the right track to increase omega 3.

I have had myretina detached operation but was not.successful inspite i follow my doctor to sleep.face downward for 3 weeks w.no.avail. my sight is still.distorded.
