in an effort to engage more with my social media family via videos, here is another one, a long due outpour of the heart.
Forty rules of Love, by Elif Şafak / Elif Shafak - a book that I happened to pick up from my younger brother's table at a time, when I was at my lowest in life, and we as a family, had just been through the most devastating loss of our lives - the head of our family, impromptu left us to be in the heavens.
in many ways, the book was more like a God-sent reminder, as to how, losses are a part of life, a trial we have to face and brave, and how, if we choose to embody kindness and empathy in our lives, we can not only serve ourselves the best way, but also the ones around us, that forgiveness doesn't start from around us, it starts from within - you have to forgive your own self first.
that every soul on the earth was born pure, and no one chooses to be evil, circumstances make us all wander, but each and every soul that breathes on this earth, is wandering, wandering in search of that purity it was born with, and do you know what's the pathway, the door so to say, to that purity?
it's Love. Islam is about love. Allah is about love. Every religion is about love.
Love is what a soul thrives on - love is what breaks a soul, and then mends it. Running away from Love is like running away from the purity of soul. at the end of it all, it will all be about...

It's a dream to translate the entire book in Urdu some day, and read it out like this one, so it's archived with my voice for ever, but for now, here's presenting the first chapter, or prologue, of the book "Forty rules of Love", which is a must read. Translated and Orated by yours truly.
