  • Join us for a fireside chat with Sergey Nazarov, Co-Founder of Chainlink, and Ben Chan, the VP of Engineering at Chainlink. They discuss Ben's new role at Chainlink and how the Chainlink Oracle Network will scale to meet DeFi market demand and accelerate the adoption of universally connected smart contracts.
Ben Chan was previously CTO of BitGo, where he successfully built and secured the first, longest-running, and industry-leading crypto custody solution now used by many of the largest institutions, exchanges, OTC desks, and brokers in the world to secure billions of dollars in cryptocurrency assets. Ben also played a crucial role in the creation of Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC), the most liquid and widely-used form of tokenized Bitcoin on the Ethereum blockchain, which is fully backed 1:1 by BTC held in BitGo custody on the Bitcoin blockchain. Ben has proven his deep expertise in architecting and productizing secure infrastructure and has recently stepped into a new role as VP of Engineering at Chainlink, where he will support the team as the Chainlink Network enters a period of rapid growth.
Sergey Nazarov is the Co-founder of Chainlink, the most widely adopted blockchain oracle network for powering universal smart contracts. With Chainlink, developers can connect any blockchain with high-quality data sources from other blockchains as well as real-world data. Managed by a global, decentralized community of hundreds of thousands of people, Chainlink is introducing a fairer model for contracts. Its network currently secures billions of dollars in value for smart contracts across the decentralized finance (DeFi), insurance, and gaming ecosystems, among others.
Chainlink is trusted by hundreds of organizations to deliver definitive truth via secure, reliable data feeds, from global enterprises (SWIFT, Google, Oracle) to development teams at the forefront of the smart contract economy (Web3 Foundation, OpenZeppelin, OpenLaw, Hedera Hashgraph, Zilliqa, Synthetix, Aave, and many others).
