It’s good to see they actually function unlike some companies in the past so 44.99 is worth it 👍
Yeah so far they seem to be.. Thanks for watching..
I used to have a ton of the CMMG +10 extensions for the FN Five Seven when I had one. They worked great as long as you did not load more than 28 rounds in the mag. If you put in no.29 and 30, the follower crossed the seam of the extension, and they became very iffy reliability wise. Hopefully these guys don't suffer from the same problem!
So far so good. Only issue we've run into has been with the can. Otherwise the mag extensions have been perfect.
I honestly think your shooting form is perfect.
Thanks, appreciate ya watching!!
Now it's a real PMR30 😅
Thats a fact lol.
A PMR30 is also known as a 10.5" 22LR firing Aguila Supermaximum :D
This guy is more like a CMR30 power wise...but one that works. Lol
You need a larger diameter suppressor because of the amount of gas thrown back from the 5.7 is causing problems
An suppressor rated for 223/556 works better than a .22 or 5.7 rated suppressor IMO
If you’re going to run a suppressor on that your going to need a booster it gives the fire arm the wiggle to unlock and eject with out loading issues
It is not supposed to be used with a booster , have a 5.56 suppressor with no booster for my 5.7 rock and it runs flawlessly. Even if you call PSA they will tell you it is not supposed to use booster .
Yeah, I found out because it isn’t till to unlock barrel I own a 57 rock also
I've seen it suggested before to use 5.56 suppressors with guns that use 5.7x28, both for more worthwhile sound reduction and to prevent issues like here.
Unfortunately I can't really find any examples of other people testing them outside of two sub 10 second videos.
I have several of these (PSA mags+7) and shoot them through my ruger LC charger. They’ve been 100% and work fine suppresses (though I mostly shoot 62gr subs through it with the suppressed). I need 4 more, but at 50 apiece, I have to get one per paycheck (if I wanna be able to also afford some ammo). :)
Our buddy @Guns&Cars sent me, he said this is a cool channel! I do love me a good 5.7mm.
Have a new subscriber!
Awesome appreciate ya stopping by!! Yeah this is a slick setup awesome little round for sure.
@@TheHide Hopefully the new AAC ammo will drive down 5.7mm pew pew costs.
Glad to help with the subscription, we little gun tuber channels gotta stick together!
I’ve been able to fit 24 in the two mags that came with my Rock as well as the two additional magazines I purchased with no problems. Anyone else?
I'm able to do the same with all of my 5.7 rock magazines as well and haven't had any malfunctions! 24+1
@@samisavage891 thanks for the feedback.
Could you post link to purchase in the comments please?
Try it with the suppressor but with the factory magazine instead
Outcome was the same unfortunately.. Thanks for watching.
Shit thought I might have had to do with the difference of spring pressure
@loaded when up We thought the same. There was just so much carbon getting blown back into the action it wasnt even funny. Perhaps a different ammo could help but we only has the one type for this outing.
Maybe a comp would prove more effective than the can 🤔
ATE EM UP SON 🤣🤣🤣🔥🔥🔥🔥
After 27 rd it does not like to feed sadly I’m still keeping them on 😂😂😂😂😂
Weird. I have 3 and they all feed all 30rds…though I typically download mags by 1-2 to make inserting with closed slide easier. But I’m shooting a Ruger Charger with these mags & extensions.
24 is already enough. Sheesh 😂
Said no one ever lol. Thanks for watching!
It also looks like you're using AAC ammo. I reload 5.7, and can tell you that AAC ammo specs are rather loose. The case diameters are irregular, and are finicky when it comes to even loading properly in an unsupressed gun. I've actually given Palmetto a shout with regard to this issue, and it appears that I'm not the only person with problems. So... with this said... I wouldn't blame the gun so much as the ammo. American Eagle would likely run just fine.
Good info thanks for sharing.
Thanks for this video! I have a SiCo Switchback and was planning on buying a Rock to shoot suppressed, now I’m not so sure… Have you done any more testing with the can? Has it gotten any better? Thanks again!!
Sir the problem it's not the gun, the mag or the suppressor, the problem is the bullets, I stop buying the American eagle ammunition because that causes with the psa, after I change for the fn 40gr ammunition I didn't have any issues, after I changed the ammo problem solved!
Glad you got it solved, thanks for watching.
That’s a lot of rounds without having to reload!
Yes it is lol. Thanks for watching..
Another CZcams channel had can problems, turned out the barrel breach was manufactured wrong. PSA sent them a new one at no cost.
Ah.. Thanks for the info!
27 gr / hotter Ammo usually flawless in my experience with a can 34gr n up is usually fragmented self defense ammo
I wanna know if this 5.7 compatible with any other as far as parts ?? Can where can I find a drop in trigger for it
Thanks for the content. You can keep the suppressor though. I'd rather hear the ROCK bark!
Agreed! Thanks for watching!!
You mildly made me squirm when you had that loaded mag (yes I know it wasn't in battery) stuffed while putting your suppressor on.
Sorry it made you uneasy
mine doesnt lock back for some reason after final round for some reason
Looks good but did they come with more spring? 👍🙂
Yes they do!! Thanks for watching..
The mags are only $20 so why would I pay $45-50 for a few more rounds? I think I will just buy more mags. 2 mags for the price of one extension.
Because its a lot faster to just continue to pull the trigger than it is to drop a mag an put in a fresh one... Thanks for watching.
@@TheHide I feel you on the extra rounds, but $45?
@duanebrown21 Machined aluminum isnt cheap unfortunately.. Perhaps the more they sell they may go down some..
@@TheHide Maybe so, I’ve bought some for my glocks for only $20 locally in Virginia.
@duanebrown21 Good deal however, Supply n demand. Im sure there are probably 10x. As many of those glock extensions sold as compared to these for the 5.7. But maybe after some timr they sell more and other companies bring similar products to market, could definitely see a drop in price.
Does it load in the ruger ?
So what’s the fix with the can? It appears that they are all jamming on suppressors. I’m hearing put 300-400 rounds through to break it in?
Yeah its possible. I think its just a carbon/back pressure issue. Thanks for watching.
Gotta run 27gr ss195
Use a can for a 556
@@TheHide
Could be. Buffman Range, who is arguably the 5.7 guru states that cans over 6oz struggle with pistol cycling in this caliber. But yes, perhaps bolwback fouling is main root cause of FTF's.
Just got some extensions myself, so far they seem really robust, well designed. Will keep running trials and round count, but as it stands, one of the best Rock accessories so far.
$45 adding 7 rounds to a $25 23 round mag...🤔 I'll just buy two more mags for that cost.
Definitely an option. Thanks for watching.
Could be the ammo
Not gun
It's possible.. Thanks for watching..
i love your videos man
Thanks, appreciate you watching!
Probably too much weight on the slide for this caliber. You got a red dot and a silencer.
Good possibility, thanks for watching..
For 7 extra rounds costing 45 dollars, I can buy 2 extra PSA Rock mags at 19.99 each and gain 46 capacity, or this Excess Arms extension. Fuck it, I'll buy one just to test it at the range.
True, but having those 7rds already in the mag is still gonna be faster to access than another mag.. Thanks for watching!
