Best Amsterdam trip report I have seen so far!
Just wanted to say thank you for being so thorough in covering schipol. You've recreated the experience of waiting for and boarding a long haul flight which I haven't done and won't do for a while in these times till normality returns
Thank you very much for your very nice comment! I haven’t flown since march either and I’m not likely to be flying for a couple more months. Hopefully the situation will get better soon and we’ll be back stepping on a plane sooner than later!

You've tried your best to film outside and I appreciate that, so unlucky of you not to get the window seat. I think that's not so nice of the FA that refused to give you the headphones when she saw you had already got yours.
Absolutely, it was a shame, but it was still a pretty decent flight!

Great video! I've shown it to my 4 year old daughter so she can have a good idea of what it's like when we travel to Chile to see where her mum is from. We'll probably go KLM via, Amsterdam and BA before going to Santiago. We did this route in December 2018 when we last went and thought KLM were very good.
Thanks a lot! Definitely, KLM at least in my experience, was overall a very good airline! You could visit BA too, my hometown!

Sorry about your seat situation. You should use SeatGuru.com to check your seat assignment prior to your trip. It tells you every detail about seat including if a window is missing or not. :)
did not expect this from KLM
I actually knew this in advance because I had been watching videos and I realized beforehand, but then I couldn’t change the seat. Anyway, the service and seat were really good, and at least they accepted my claim and gave me those couple of miles, which were, in my opinion, a very good gesture.
Thanks for the look. I'm Norwegian, but I'm going to Buenos Aires myself in a few weeks, so it was nice to be a little prepared.

They warn about there being no window in row 18 now. I booked 19A.
Great that they have implemented that. They will now avoid misunderstandings and their customers’ dissatisfaction.
Sorry I was laughed when u mention u paid €20 for window seat but there is no window... 😀😀👍🙏🏻🙏🏻

@@flyingaroundtheworldytb Feel so sorry for you. I'm flying the 777-300ER with KLM in a few months and checked seats: row 19. Row 18 however should be free-of-charge as only till row 17 is "front selection". And my advice is to check seatmaps at seatguru.com. It doesn’t work properly by times in the video, due to a problem on my phone’s camera. It is mentioned in the video anyway.
@@flyingaroundtheworldytb Probs a good idea to note in description as well. It deffo isn't the camera, it would be the microphone whilst recording. (Coming from a technical student) we know this from the past when wearing different headphones whilst recording
I’m always really careful with the microphone, but I honestly don’t know... anyway that does not make the video of worse quality.
KLM and American Airlines are the worst Airlines I’ve ever flown. They’re absolutely abominable. The service is atrocious, the seats are way too small, I’m merely 171cm and 73 kilos, and the lay out is not customer friendly. All in all I’d avoid either of these two airlines like the plague.
Haven't flown American myself, but as for KLM, I've had the complete opposite experience. Judging by the other comments, I'd say I'm in the majority. I think you were just unlucky to have such a poor experience, and I feel sorry you had to sit through it.
