  • I've been collecting these boxed games since 2011. I'm getting so close to finishing. Been wanting to show them for a while. Hope you dig seeing my collection. Let me know in the comments about your favorite Humongous Entertainment games! Also let me know what kind of other videos i should make. I have a few ideas of other content that I can put out to CZcams. Let me know!

This collection is so special. I was born in ‘94 and one of the most memorable parts of my childhood was playing HE games. I recently purchased them on Steam so that I could relive the nostalgia of playing them as a kid. Such wonderful memories and these will always hold such a special place in my heart

My favorites were the entire Putt-Putt series, Freddi Fish and the Case of the Missing Kelp Seeds, and Pajama Sam No Need to Hide When it’s Dark Outside 😊
EDIT: how could I forget Fatty Bears birthday surprise!! Definitely in my top three

@@ParkorPlays That's sweet, I believe that Fatty Bear is an overlooked game. It definitely is a unique and special game. If you haven't played the rest of the games in each series please do so! They all are amazing in their own way.
You can skip Putt Putt Pep's Birthday Surprise though, that one was objectively bad.

This is great! As one of the very first employees of Humongous Entertainment, this really brings back fond memories. I wore many hats early on, doing everything from animation to character design, but eventually became the Lead Background Artist for most of the Junior Adventures, including Freddi, Putt-Putt, and Sam. I also recognize a some of the box art I created in here, including Freddi 3. Nice collection - thanks for sharing!

Wow! that is a jaw dropping collection! I have all the games but only about 12 games are in the big boxes. I thought I was maybe the only person to care about these amazing old games. I'd love to get as many as you someday. It's difficult shopping on ebay for the big box releases because there are so many re releases out there and the seller isn't always clear. It would be nice if there was some kind of collaboration online that compiled all the different releases. It would help us collectors out a lot. I didn't know Freddi Fish 4 was ever released in the huge box for example, my boxed copy is shorter like Freddi Fish 5. Operation Ozone is my favorite Spy Fox also. I look forward to checking out your other videos and seeing what you make in the future. Sorry for the long comment i'm just excited to find someone else who collects this stuff.

      Thank you so much!
I get it i felt the same way for a long time. There are people on the jradventures forum who know a lot more about specific releases and re-releases. Some of them have break downs of each specific version release as well. However not really a good resource for finding retail variants like you are asking for. I spent a lot of time looking at pictures and comparing measurements and dimensions.
If you find a seller with something yourr looking for you can totally ask them to send you thr measurements of the box to see of it is the right one. It took me a while to find Freddie Fish 4 but a seller was kind enough to share the measurments for me. A good rule of thumb is that when HE was bought by infogrames they began to release games in that slightly smaller from factor.
Theres a lot that I had to try and figure out it felt like feeling in the dark for a long while. Not a lot of information is around on these games. Well not the info I wanted. Mr.EightThreeOne was a huge help to understand some of the finer details. Check him out if you haven't.
I get it man, I get excited over this stuff too. It can be super interesting. I love to talk about it. This has been a passion project of mine for years.

I found a 12 inch talking putt-putt plushie in a thrift store for 50 cents. I couldn't find the exact one online, a bunch of those 6 inch ones you have. The only evidence I have of mine existing is the wayback machine of the humungous store in 2001. Mines called "Putt-Putt interactive Plush" and the 6" ones are called "Putt-Putt and Pep Plush". I think they sold the 6" one in stores as well as online and the larger one I have was only through the website. They apparently made 2 versions of the spy fox plush as well.
Humongous entertainment made a tonne of toys looking at their early 2000's store. Some you could only get through pre ordering. I wonder how many EXTREMELY rare toys are out there, only available through online sales back in 2001 when people never bought things online. Most were probably thrown out or given to goodwill with people not knowing only a few dozen were ever sold...

They are difficult to find sometimes but definitely not impossible. It depends on what you're looking for. eBay is the place where most people will be able to find most things. Some people use other sites: Craigslist Kijiji, Gametz, Offerup, Amazon, Worthpoint. There's others I'm sure. You just have to be patient when searching.

    • @5taytos

No, that would have been super sweet though! It was one of their various merchandise products. If you every are able to look through one of their product catalogs from around 2000 you'd see it there. They did have gift box sets though that came with a Junior Adventure, Junior Arcade, and a character watch. I think that's the closest thing to a special edition they ever had.

There are a bunch of books though that you can get for reasonable prices. There's around 15 various books.

    • @5taytos
      @5taytos  Před 4 lety +2

I would say $15-$25 is fair. That's generally how much I payed for the majority of my games. Humongous Entertainment made a lot of multi-game bundles which usually are priced a little higher. There are special variants which may come with a promotional item like a plush or a watch. Those also will cost a bit more. Their merch is highly sought after. Most of the games thouvh are not uncommon. They pop up pretty frequently. You can get good deals if you are patient. Which games are you looking for?
