Hey all! This walk was done without mods. So, it's with vanilla rain, textures and without any reshade. They have made some changes to the rain in this patch. Overdrive looks amazing but is taxing performance so much. With frame generation on, I'm getting between 60-80 FPS, though there are still places where it drops below 60. I'm curious to see how the game will run once I add all the graphics mods that I have been using recently (like in this walk: czcams.com/video/WbUgBaEsugI/video.html ).
Yeah it looks fantastic. Everything is just more grounded due to the more plausible looking ambient lighting and shadows. Been wondering when we would see the first new games using the new realtime GI tech from nvidia, but did not expect it to be an already completed game :)
Was your DLSS on balanced or quality?
it might be taxing but it's a huge technological feat that it's running real-time at all :D
It still blows my mind how big and immersive Night City is. CDPR nailed the atmosphere.
Itching to start a new playthrough but will wait for the expansion first.
there is no immersion. People dont even bother to carry umbrellas or take shelter. Just brain dead npcs walking
basically walking in a live game - game trailer type engine haha
That immersion is just next level
Nobody seems worried about rain in the future, just casually walking around getting soaked 😁

I was seeing most people with umbrella in my game, few without
npcs running in the rain if they have no umbrella would be max immersion. or if they do a little scream people do when its raining haha that would be so immersive
Wow.. the way the light gets wavy in the reflections is beyond amazing !
Imagine if the game had 3rd person perspective and let us carry an umbrella. I would walk around like this all the time. Imagine if more of the NPC's reacted to weather and took out their own umbrellas, or took shelter together. The better the graphics are the more I crave that feeling of immersion.
The umbrellas are right there
you can install a 3 person mod, there is a good one that someone made
heya, please keep making more videos with this type of RT!!! imo keep it as clean as possible, without many fancy or unrealistic mods. THIS IS PERFECT, SO REALISTIC. i use this as a live wallpaper on my 55" Samsung TV, and its amazing.

Goddamit, I can't play this game on PS5 anymore after seeing all these videos of the new overdrive mode...
Actually, the PS5 raytracing version looks much better with greater contrast, sharpness and image clarity. PT only over brightens the image, making everything look cartoonish.

I honestly don't notice a huge difference. The game still looks absolutely incredible on PS5, even in performance mode at 60 fps.
Thank you for this masterpiece work of art! Cyberpunk is not a game I would play, while the games i do play i tend to run through it all. But your videos show the fascinating vibrant environments that often we gamers miss, and they are so serene and pleasant to watch.
This was so lifelike I felt as if I was getting soaked. They should bring out a MMO version soon!
There were plans for multiplayer Cyberpunk 2077 but it got scraped and they decided to move onto making a cyberpunk sequel

For sure awesome, but a little but.....The rain is amazing but the impact on the ground isn't really visible besides the ground looking wet. But that's just a minor detail, overall this look amazing!

The AI and the rain are still pointless. To see them sitting there not getting wet while it falls through walls and shade makes no sense

Is it just me or does the rain seem worse, not better? Very little splattering of raindrops on the ground, rain passing through covered areas, sound syncing up poorly, etc. It looks like a rain filter has just kinda been put on the screen and it doesn't really interact with the world. Maybe it was always like this and I'm just imagining it was better before.
Hi there! I was wondering if you are comparing the current vanilla rain to the modded rain? In my opinion, the vanilla rain has improved significantly. However, I'm still undecided when comparing it to the "Better finer rain" mod that I've used a lot. In this mod, the rain looks great up close but fades away in the distance. Nonetheless, there are still some bugs where rain passes through covered areas, and the sound syncs are not perfect. And yeah, there is definitely room for improvement in how the rain interacts with the game world.
I also agree. The rain looks pathetic. Only blind PC fanboys will think this rain looks real.

@@DayDreamGamingTV vanilla rain has improved, but i still think it looks kinda bad. theres a new rain mod thats not finer rain. its called "Improved (Or Is It) Rain Effect" i think it looks better than finer rain mod.

I haven't actually played the game in a long time and have just seen some of your videos here or there, so you may have been using that mod. Tbh I've never been impressed with the rain in this game, but it has definitely looked better to me in some of your other videos.

There should have been more sidequests in all of these areas.....
90% of the population doesnt care about rain, it breaks the immersion a bit :(
The limit of unreality has been crossed again, just like in the Hogwards link, where even the wooden floor shines like a mirror and here it doesn't even have to rain much and the concrete pavement turns into mirrors on the ground. really, the engineers at Nvidia should finally think about how far they can push this nonsense, it should be reduced a bit so that it makes sense.
idk gta5 with a handful of HD mods looks more photorealistic with RT off vs this with RT on (or even OD)

Rain in vanilla version is quite disappointing, as if it's not the same studio which created the Witcher series.
It's like a game from 2008.
The last time I went outside, rain did not look like this. Rain in pathtracing looks much worse than the standard raytracing version, which looks more real.

Cyberpunk has the WORST rain graphics, it literally looks like an animated GIF layer they slapped in front of your screen.

You are walking under awnings and roofs and glass ceilings and even through underground tunnels buried under streets and the rain is still coming down in front of the POV shots. That seems like a bug, glitch.
