My parents left Kenya in 1970 when I was just 3 weeks old to come to the UK... they lived in Mombasa for years as my dad was born there. Thanks you for this video... you made my parents very happy bringing back memories... if you can show Pandya Hospital where I was born I’d be grateful. 👍🙏🏼💐💐💐

I only searched this because number 1# I'm curious what the city looks like. #2: Reminds me of the video game series Halo which sometimes took place over 500 years in a futuristic city of New Mombassa there in Kenya, and still has the "Old" Mombassa the city we see today. And as I suspected, even with old stuff still there, it's beautiful.

It's a coastal city with very rich Swahili cultures. It has alot of historical sites and it's way warmer than Nairobi. The people in Mombasa are kind more welcoming to tourist because it's a touristic town and you will love coastal food
Mombasa Now, is typical Tanga TZ then... As Mombasa was part of TZ then, during colonial and before independence, the culture, tribes and the way people live still behave like Tanzanians. Tanga city slipped a bit down in the 90s in terms of infrastructures but is now coming back so fast.

Mombasa has never been part of TZ. Coastal people of Kenya, TZ, have almost a similar culture and ways of living because they were once one people. There languages somehow relate.
