  • So, our days in Udaipur have come to an end, we are happy to be exploring more of Rajasthan and India, so we are taking off. But we do not just take off but we will take off with the best train that India has to offer - the Vande Bharat Express. Slowly India is getting this high speed train introduced into society, there are already 28 lines going through the country and the plan is to built more and more. It surely is more expensive than normal lines but it also is a very different experience I can tell you. We did feel like on an airplane at times. But yes, let´s please watch the video to the end, there will also be foods and some sights.

      @@yvesthesleevedear Ian that was a very honest review, you rightly called out what's good and what's over-priced, definitely food is avoidable if it's a short journey.
      Also you travelled in standard class in VB Exp with 3×2 seats, also there is a Executive class with 2×2 seats may be just 1 coach with turntable seats to window.

    They served you the snacks and tea for the evening, the time when you boarded the train in Udaipur. If you had a longer travel till night, they would have served you dinner as well. They serve you tea and snacks followed by a proper breakfast if you are travelling in morning time, then comes lunch at lunch hour and in between the major meals, they keep serving you small quickbites in between. Ajmer has only the shrine of the Sufi Muslim saint of the Chisti order, Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti also called Garib Nawaz. There is nothing else to see in Ajmer. Jodhpur would have been a much better option.

      @@yvesthesleeve Pushkar is definitely an interesting place to be..especially the Pushkar Mela/Fair. Hope it's going on now. The holy Lake at Pushkar was formed from the tears of Lord Shiva, when his consort, Maa Sati died after jumping into the holy havan fire for yagnya at her father, Daksh Prajapati's house as she could not bear the humiliation her father brought on Lord Shiva and her by not inviting her husband, Mahadev, Lord Shiva Shankar to the most important yagna at his palace where everyone else was invited, but not Lord Shiva Shankar. The pool/Lake formed by the tears of His other eye is at Katasraj Temple of Lord Shiva, now in Pakistan.

    *Normal class has 3 by 2 seating, Executive class is 2 by 2 seating, you went by it @**18:40** in video, it has lot more facilities, like rotating chairs, pull down shades, better plush lounge type seats , lot more leg room and other premium stuff which make it a whole lot better. Vande Bharat, generally has 1 or 2 executive coaches, and remaining normal class. Most times people buy it for experience, as you even rotate it parallel to window, so both the seats are having a panoramic view through the window, its quite a lifetime experience, especially if route is through hilly station in the monsoon* In many other trains with sceanic beauty in route there is a single or two Vista Dome coach depending on demand, it has glass even in roof, and glass windows on side are almost twice as big, rotating chairs, red plush spongy seats, its like a experience like no other, kids and you will love it, as makes for great vlogging. I traveled once through Mumbai to pune in the monsoon in a vista dome coach, it is still etched in my memory as the best experience ever. Cant do a India experience, without doing that, monsoon has retreated in north and central India, but its monsoon season in south India if interested. AC is in all coaches in Vande Bharat, but people in coach can ask help to turn cooling up or down, which they normally comply, whatever is demanded by majority, if more than one are requesting change in temp. So the difference you felt was based on what was requested by some, and not objected by others.

      So there is one more possibility. Lucknow is the capital city of the state of Uttar Pradesh. It lies exactly in the middle of Delhi and Varanasi.
      It's a historical city known for it's British - Indian architecture and open green spaces. It was also a centre of India's freedom struggle, so a lot of historical importance.

    I haven't watched any of your videos before this one. But, i must say, you can pass as an Indian family. Your demeanor, body language, the frugal mindset(when you mentioned rich people don't buy 2 litre bottles, I got that), authentic(and not feigned) excitement all seem oddly Indian. And also, you actually know how to eat Indian foods. I myself am a proponent of frugal but quality living. So, here's a frugal tip in case if you don't know already. In many stations, there are full fledged RO(Reverse osmosis) water purification system, you can always get that at 5 rupees if you already have a bottle, or you can get a bottle from them with few extra bucks(3-5 rupees). oh, bdw, it's a complete AC train, however in Vande Bharat they use intelligent sensor, that regulates the temperature based on climatic condition, which is more efficient and less harsh than other trains.

    although this Vande Bharat train is invented in India only but if you travelled in any other electric train in India it will have a locomotive which was invented by your country Switerland only
    In 1995 Swiss railway company ABB get a Transfer of technology agreement with Indian railways to export Electric locomotives and technology from Switzerland to India and there were two types of locomotives were exported for freight and passenger services
    One of the interesting fact Next year there will be only two countries in the World with 100% Electrified Railway network and those are India and Switerland only

    By the year 2035, you'll see a huge change in every aspect of this country especially in Railways.
    By that time Bullet trains are also running in major routes and more than 40 cities have Metro Trains plus many cities have Airports too and huge network of Expressways or Highways.❤

    • @yvesthesleeve
      @yvesthesleeve  Před 5 měsíci +2

      Interesting, I wonder if the airports will actually develop like that as the world governments will push the carbon lie and they do not want people to fly around (while they fly around on their private jets....). Let´s see

You're right about the hypocrisy of these govts lol but i feel like these regulations are more for the first world countries as for now leaving China which never accepts it's pollution stats😅

    It is not worth comparing Railways of a smaller country like Switzerland with a country with Gigantic railway network. SBB might be punctual, but DB of Germany is far worse than any countries.

    • @yvesthesleeve
      @yvesthesleeve  Před 5 měsíci +3

      And if you want to compare indian railways with other railways than 1 grow a netwrok of more than 1 lakh kms in just 75 years,after being looted for 250 years and 41 trillion usd in today money,carry daily 22 million people without any major accidents,operate 12,000 passenger trains daily with 80-85% punchtuality rate,carry 20 million tonnes of goods every day also,in a country where evrything changes in 50 kms from language to landscape to atmosphere everything changes in 50-100 kms,than we will have a comparision,the amount of passenger and goods your whole country take in 1 year we do it in a day
