The big problem in our Bollywood industry and even all other film industries in India is that each and every film compulsorily needs to have atleast 5-6 songs or sometimes even 8-10 songs in it as well.. I personally feel some movies don't need any songs at all, but we've seen a thriller or a horror film in India having 8-10 songs 😆😆... So say if for example Bollywood makes 200 films in a calender year, that means it'll need minimum of 1000 songs to be created per year in total by that industry.. Now I am not an expert of creating songs but say for example an orginal song overall takes 10-15 days to be written and created or maybe even less.. So that means by that pace and considering other factors, the Music Directors will only be able to create 200-250 original songs in a year, or even less.. This wide gap of say 750+ songs not being able to create originally at a good pace has given rise to such malpractices of Plagiarism... Its all a game of Demand and Supply.. The demand for more movies and more songs has given rise to such Plagiarism.. I'm not justifying the acts of Plagiarism by Music Directors here because I too am against this, but just stating some facts for giving clarity for the rise and rise of Plagiarism of songs and even movies in Indian Films 😊👍

Rd Burman sir composed over 2000songs in his career...Lol 😂then the inspiration song list is only 20/25 rest of it is totally his own...RD Burman was a true genius...The best Music director of all time... at first go & learn music

Western innovation of the 60's, 70's and 80's influenced the rest of the world. Now it's starting to come around and the rest of the world is starting to influence the west, in music, fashion and industry. Nothing in wrong with that, we live on the same planet and should be open to learning from each other.

Hamad Sheik but coming to the root of the basis of your assumption in relevance to this video, of rd burman being inspired by the west, true, but he has created marvellous music beyond imagination, that is unique only to him, and can;t be found either in west, east north or south.
The instrumental arrangements, the tunes, the musical effects and everything. he has created his own musical instrument setups, experiemented by dropping a drum-stick(don't know what exactly it is called) on a tabla to produce a sound, has made a singer gargle water to record it and use it as an eerie background score in a movie. Such ideas are unique only to him!
and yeah, seeing your point in absolute, west has been of tremendous influence on the world, but India has also inspired West, albeit in less publicized areas, such as Science, mathematics etc. Many of the great western scientists that have helped shape the world with their work owe a lot to India's contrubution in Math and Physics.
Spirituality was majorly was taken from India, and was adapted to across the world! Yoga has changed the world, and has stilll been changing it, and it has originated from India.
