The searchbox looks comically chunky, hopefully they refine the design before finalizing this feature.

Keep in mind this design is for the Tablet Optimized Taskbar, which is overall larger so it's easier to use with touch.

@@TechBased True, but it still looks out of place compared to the rest of the UI. Maybe they'll improve it as it gets closer to being finalized. You never know with Microsoft 😅.

@@TechBased Even on ChromeBook's taskbar and Mobile's status bar isn't as giant as that. nor on Windows 10's tablet mode.
And they don't even bother making the buttons in the start menu bigger. It's bad for mouse and touch

So I enabled the hide taskbar to solve the big taskbar issue but now they're making the taskbar bigger when it's hidden?

If they're going to add a resizing option for the taskbar that explains why your taskbar is bigger than normal, I was just about to say why your taskbar is about 2 inches bigger on your computer screen

Even though overall I am loving the new UI changes, I will say that with Build 26120.470, I am having the good ole won't wake up from Sleep Mode again. :( I have gone back to using Hibernate.

Its canary build, in which there will be 2 updates a week.
In the upcoming weeks, Microsoft will fix these issues and if required this feature can also be detained.

Two things. Canary build is expected to be buggy. That is why some of us do the Dev build. Still testing it but less bugs. Overall Windows 11 UX is getting WAY better not worse.
