Very good video. Even having arch linux tha last 4 years and using it all the time I had to make a clean install and this video is a must even for experienced users. Sometimes you forget to enable a firewall service an this is bad news for security.

If google Firefox and tor (recently there was cve with major risk in those browsers) have vulnerability install it an vm and secure it. Same for all insecure apt. Create docker container to run apt that could lead to an insecure system. Install Pam ?
Update uefi ? Secure boot , tomoyo watchdog? Install app armor and tools like SEsystem, install endpoint security like wazuh (free)or alienvault ?

Linux is a pain. If you told me It could actually replace windows after the first days of Linux struggles I would have laughed. I didn't give up, I tried more distros, I really learned how it works. At this point , I prefer Linux. The customizable interface and multitasking workflow is better than windows. I'm still learning but I have a functional system that does what I need. Using Fedora KDE neon with x11 by the way

Hello I know you made this video a year ago but i have a question. I cannot see some files in dolphin even if i press show hidden files it doesn't reveal everything, however they do appear in konsole. Have i done something wrong with my installation or are some files only accessible through the konsole and can I fix that
Some files may be inaccessible due to permission restrictions. If you don't have the necessary permissions to read certain files or directories, Dolphin might not display them, even though they exist and can be seen in the terminal.

I followed the tutorial and have arch working with KDE Plasma. I am looking for a free Linux course that uses Arch so I can learn how to manage the OS through the command line. I found a few online but they all seem to be Ubuntu focused so use APT as the package manger for example. Need one based on Arch. I will keep looking.

Yes why not, but in arch linux I suggest you to use YAY or PARU to install ANY app.

And if you are under wayland (plasma, gnome, and others wm) you should install wayland protocols, like xorg-xwayland, xdg-desktop-portal, wayland-protocols, xwaylandvideobridge, nwg-shell.

IF have edited Pacman config file using NANO text editor. Use CTRL + O to save and CTRL + X to exit.
Not up to date anymore...I installed arch linux today and most of this stuff is pointless or wrong. Halfway through the video and the install pretty much took care of everything and I did not use any aur helper to install vscode.
Will improve the video in foreseeing future.

If you installed Arch on your phone I have several questions, one of them including _how?_
It doesn’t let me install “yay” I get this error message:

I then gave every user root/super user privileges and i get this Error message

what to do after installling arch linux? hack? i want to know really WHAT arch linux users using the OS for. im very sure not for playing video games. what kind of "work". programming? for what? people who make softwares uses windows. watching movies? i dont think so. making flatpak apps? could be. i refuse to believe thats what arch linux users do. i mean from a normal people stand point, they want to use to edit videos, photos create presentations etc, linux especially arch linux isnt the best tool for that. unless you are CODERS. so "CODING" is what they do AFTER installing arch linux. FOR WHAT? thats the question.
i use mine for watching yt, messaging friends, playing games, edit videos, do some graphical design, and some other stuff
? Windows is a shit OS, it's just because it, people use arch to make things that any others OS made, but with the difference that you know everything that you OS made and is much more lightweight. If you want to use a OS that uses 6gb of ram idle ok.

@@kskroyaltech it makes a lot of other kernels to boot to linux for and it will replace the main kernel that was used as default before, and makes the booting have an error, I have to choose another kernel whenever I boot back to arch linux, that's my case, idk about you or other people
