Yes, I'm here because of Invincible. But why I'm writing this comment is a little more than that. Strap yourself in, because this is going to be one of those heartfelt and deep comments... For some reason, I just got flooded with emotion from when I was looking at colleges, like Mark and Amber. Once I was in already, I went with one of my friends to another college when I had just finished my freshman year. We walked around, talked about our college experiences so far, and I just felt this feeling of excitement from all over the place. We were pretty close, and I thought we'd be friends for a long time. A few months after that, she just completely dropped me as if our friendship meant nothing. I was alone for a long time in college during sophomore year, and that feeling of emptiness has stayed with me a bit. I had good times with some friends and family, but I never really got over losing that one friend. She was actually a lot like Amber... She lied to everyone else in our friend group that I had done something wrong, and I was left with the irony that college originally felt like it would be the greatest time in my life. I just graduated earlier this year, and I'm applying to graduate school now. A lot of those feelings of looking at colleges and getting ready to go to them are coming back, but this time it feels like an empty promise. It's bittersweet. It reminds me of all I've lost in the time I was in college instead of the hope it gave me during high school. Still, I can't help but feel alright too. I know I have a lot to be excited about, especially if I get accepted to a school in New York, which is where I want to go. If you also have some complex feelings of loneliness and felt that ironic joy from listening to this song, or watching Mark and Amber tour colleges, I guess I'm there with you. I just miss being more excited about things. It's a little harder to feel joy these days. However, I'm grateful Invincible made me feel joy again. It's definitely been my favorite show from the past two years.
I heard this in trinkets and fell IN LOVE w it! And so did my sister. Her and I went to PacSun 2 days ago and this started playing and we both started screaming bc we don’t know anyone who would know this song nor would the radio ever play it.
