Yes, the worst outcome. The thermostat assembly I replaced about 2 years was failing. It started off opening late, then didn’t open - coolant engine light turned red a couple times, then last time it opened and stayed open. So it is stuck open and the engine never get above 120F on cold days and warm days, it barely reaches 200F. So I’ll be replacing it again, probably get an OEM this time.
