We discuss on the podcast this week what your body goes through after you’ve been out for your run. Training advice from our presenters 🙌🏻 #podcast #runningadvice #runningtraining #runningpodcast
I sleep so badly when my mileage is high and particularly long runs!! I know it’s a sign of over training if you can’t sleep despite being physically exhausted, but it’s all a balance 🤷♂️
My sleep is AWFUL after long runs or during a heavy training week, not sure why that is as I’m exhausted. You would think your body wants/needs to sleep. Maybe it’s the inflammation or something to do with central nervous system? Anyone got any idea?
I ran a trail marathon and the finishers "medal" was a custom glass filled with margarita. I had 1 sip, almost vomited, and dumped it. The only drink I've ever dumped! 😂
Interesting. After a long run I take a shower and then feel normal. Maybe my long runs are too short for this effect as I'm only up to half marathon distance.
@acfans6101 this My buddy runs 6 miles every day and 10 on Saturdays. It's like nothing for him to run 10 miles. He's been known to run 10, go to work in the lab, and then finish the day with acroyoga. Some people are just built different.
So ending a 21km run in minus 25 Celsius weather only to find that my car battery is dead, then waiting for a tow for half an hour with just a shirt, windbreaker and tights on was a bad idea considering the immune system drop. I shivered violently for a good 20 minutes. Couldn’t operate the touch screen on my phone with my shaking and twitching hands.
Sarah is glowing In this
In a good way or a radioactive way…?
She is! Not knocking on Andy or Rick but the camera just loves her (along with us the viewers)!
Sarah’s laugh is simply lovely
Recovery is key

I've noticed some of the weekly podcasts don't make it to CZcams? Is that on purpose?

right? the sleeping afterwards is horrible.
I get in the shower, lay in the fetal position, and contemplate the decisions I have made in my life.
Why? Why?
Sarah is beautiful but I think we need to talk about Andy’s sweet threads
I see the simps are out. In other news quit being soft.
