This video inspired me to build a solar powered fountain in a large ceramic pot! 😊THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO! I could not have never accomplished this on my own. I’d send you pics if I had an email address.
Contact me through my website or on Instagram :)
Absolutely beautiful!
Thanks!
Utterly charming! I love those cabbagey- looking plants!
thanks!
The floating lettuce! aren't they great?
Very nice. The water plants look great, too.
Ive grown to Love water plants.
I love your work! Small scale or big scale it’s all amazing!!
thank you!
Super Cute!!!
:)
You may want to try coconut fiber around the pump. I took a piece of PVC pipe big enough to put the pump in and drilled holes in the pipe to let the water flow in and covered the pipe with the coconut fiber. Works GREAT. I got the coconut fiber from the Dollar Store.
Yea thats smart.
I Love it!
Thanks!
Hi Travis, I just subscribed today. First sub I ever paid for... You the man. I'm doing my first ever project in the backyard, I do synthetic turf/grass projects and this is going to be turf on both sides and probably 30in creek 23ft long running into a large dog rubber washtub approx 100gal. What advice do you have for a first timer? Does and don'ts. Should I use the tub or liner? Is the 800 gph pump 10ft lift overkill? Advice on running an extension cord to the pump. Etc.
Awesome! I appreciate that so much! Thank you.
Sounds like a fun project. Liner is sometimes easier because it will just fill the shape of the hole, instead of needing to custom dig a very specific hole shape. But any kind of large tub will do, so long as it doesnt rip, tear, or puncture easily.
The bigger the Better! for all of it. Not the square footage of the feature. But lets say you're building within a 10' x 20' space; One large thick liner, a deep reservoir, a big pump, and large rocks, is better long term than (hypothetically) three cheap thin liners overlapping, with a shallow reservoir, and slow water, over small boulders.
All of those things work, but its easy to avoid leaks, and reduce maintenance if you have a thick liner, and a big reservoir. Big rocks and Big pumps always look good too.
Side note, You can throttle down a large pump for less waterflow. You cant increase waterflow on a small pump.
That being said, 800 gph might work. Its tough to say without seeing it.
Don't use just one size of river pebbles, it will look uncanny. Do put plants in if you can, it will look more natural and cover mistakes. Don't accidently put any holes in the liner while you're working, you'll spend forever looking for them. Do some research about algae control and chemicals, I have a video about that I'm working on now.
Send me any pictures and Questions you have to my Instagram @travis.jantzer or my Email tjantzer(at)gmail .. For some reason CZcams doesnt alert me when people reply to my comments. but i'll check back here soon.
Thanks again! I hope it all goes well! We'll stay in touch.
Love your work. Are you available to come to St Pete Beach to do a backyard babbling brook along a sea wall on Boca Ciega bay?
That would be fun.
@@travisjantzer I would like to speak with you on the phone.

Is pond foam like regular insulation foam in a can?
Kinda. It works basically the same but is grey instead of yellow and claims to be more friendly for wildlife.
What kind of pond plants are those?
Water Lettuce, Floating Heart, and a Cat Tail.
